I've been wanting to try head spa and this was a good experience. It's at a strip mall with lots of parking. I booked the appointment the night before and they were ready the next day morning. I had the beginner package. Staff was friendly and attentive and the place is very clean. Massage was great. It's pretty amazing to see my scalp and hair quality. I would recommend this place to my friends and family.

This was certainly an experience to be had. I'm the type that often cannot relax but the moment that I laid down and started my treatment, I felt so relaxed. I made a last minute reservation for my husband and I and was 30 minutes late due to the traffic that San Jose has to offer (in which I was not privy to). The receptionist was amazing in dealing with this issue and once we arrived we were greeted with the best hospitality. The room was clean and organized. There was a curtain divider between mu husband and I but I was totally okay with that since I was completely embarrassed with the build up on my hair follicles. The massage was everything I could of ever wanted. The pressure points were spot on and I absolutely enjoyed the shoulder massage. At the end of the procedure, my scalp was so clean and felt so soft that I couldn't imagine that I had so much build up from the beginning. I'm now more aware of how I care for my hair and my scalp!

Definitely a bit on the pricey side but a really good experience . I really felt relaxed and taken care of when I was there. The massage was an extra touch that u loved and the scalp massage just made it all better. I love the shampoo and conditioner that was used , it smelled great and helped with the relaxed experience. My hair therapist was super sweet , nice and I felt really comfortable. It was nice touch to have my hair blow dried at the end so you don't walk out with wet hair.

Such a great service, wonderful staff, clean, calm and peaceful! My scalp was in desperate need of some TLC and I found this gem online I enjoyed the private rooms, maybe a little noise prevention under doors could be helpful. Over all the service was enjoyable! I am a "self love" connoisseur and I honestly would've fallen asleep with another 30 minutes! Last but not least I was grateful to lady who helped find their new location. I am new to the area and was so stressed when I arrived to the original location in an Uber to only find out they had relocated 30 minutes away. However when I called H2O Spa and explained the situation I was set into such ease- absolutely great customer service!!!! Please make note of the new location! *** 6055 Meridian Ave, 110 SAN JOSE, California 95120 *** Thank you to the wonderful ladies of H20 Spa! :) Just a small clip https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTFdex8eS/

We wanted to try the H20 at Walnut Creek but they had no time available for 3 people, they offered this location and I am very glad they did. The service was great starting with the call to schedule and confirm. When we walked in we were immediately greeted. The woman at the front sat with us and explained how the service we booked works and what our options were. There was 3 of us so my MIL went first and my friend and I waited 10-15mins be taken back. Once in the room we undressed and started with the massage. We booked the Expert head care which included body massage, head spa, and facial. The massage was great but I do wish they would have worked the full body. She focused a lot on my back and nothing on my legs. One thing I do have a concern with was how much they went in and out of the room with me half naked on the table and no notice of the door being opened. For modesty reasons we picked a place with mostly women and we would have liked a bit more privacy during the service. The facial and head care came hand in hand. They were great but not what I expected. The facial was more of a moisturizing process than any extractions. The head care was a lot of washing my hair but not much else. I felt relaxed and pampered at the end but there was definitely room for improvement. My MIL could not stop raving about her massage but felt the same way about the facial and head care. We recommend to come here for the prices and relaxation.

Love head spas. Have tried them in SoCal, NY, and everywhere in the Bay Area. This place was very good from the start of the spa service to end. You get undressed (unlike other head spas) and start face down for a quick massage. Then you flip over with your head over the bowl which is where the magic begins. Intense massage with steam, deep moisturizing conditioner, and then a blow dry at the end. I also will mention the camera before and after treatment. My scalp apparently was disgusting and when leaving, super sparking clean. I asked the max guests and they said 8 at a time. Love this place.

I've been here 4 times in 1 year. At first it was great. I even brought my sister and my friends. They do upsell you aggressively. I got an email saying come back there's $60 off your next treatment. No fine print. So I booked an appointment, and when I arrived I was surprised when they said the discount only applied to the top three packages, not basic or intermediate. So basically "advance" was the cheapest one at $180, minus $60 making it the beginner price of $120. So the coupon is just a ploy to get you to return but you will not save any money.

I've seen this place all over TikTok, so when my friends mentioned going, I joined them! I think my friend made appointments for us about 2 months in advance. It's a popular spot with only 4 (?) rooms so space is limited. I think they have 2-3 single rooms and one room for couples. There are also 2 single bathrooms. Every room seemed very clean. Since there were 3 of us, my friend who had been once before went to a single room and my other friend and I went to the couples room. They still separated us /our tables with a curtain. You undress (top clothes only) and leave your pants on so wear comfy bottoms. You start on your stomach because they start with a brief back massage. Even though it's short, I thought it was still nice and gets you in a relaxing mood. Then I think my massage lady's name was Amber helped me flip over to my back and also switch placement of where my head is because the bed has the sink on one side. Your head is on the opposite side for the back massage at the beginning. She showed me my scalp under a magnified view/camera, and I had a little buildup on my scalp, not too worrisome for me because I hadn't washed my hair for 2 nights. She showed me their menu of service types, and I went with intermediate (one step up from basic), and everything was 20% off. Intermediate added a hair mask but other than that, it was the same as the basic service ($120 vs $150 before discounts). The most expensive option is $298 before discount. So they have a range in between as well. They wash your hair a lot of course, give scalp massages, shoulder /neck massage. And there's a surprise for your neck which feels amazing but I won't completely spoil it. It feels so good though! I almost fell asleep from being so relaxed. After the washing was all done (multiple washes) and my hair mask was on for like 5 minutes and rinsed out, she showed me my scalp again and how the buildup was gone. Then I got dressed and they have 3 blow dry stations in the main area out front (2 by the door, 1 by the bathrooms in back). She used a Dyson blow dryer so it was pretty quick. Don't expect a blowout with a round brush or style after. It's just to dry your hair so you don't leave with wet hair. My hair is so soft because of the hair mask now! They use some olaplex products here, so it all smells good! I like this place a lot but probably wouldn't do it too often for personal budget reasons and since my scalp wasn't that bad. But it was a really nice treat, so relaxing. And big shout out to Amber (I think) who did my hair care because I wasn't thinking and got a new piercing (tragus) the day before my appointment. I mentioned it to her to please try not to bump my ear there if possible, and the whole time I was a little nervous when she would wash by my ear but she totally took extra care around it, and I loved that. It was super appreciated! Thanks for a nice relaxing time!

My first time trying a hair scalp massage session and I loved it! The customer service was exceptional. Every staff member was incredibly friendly, greeting me as soon as I entered and promptly guiding me to my room. Throughout the experience, they checked in frequently to ensure I was comfortable, adjusting the temperature and ensuring my water was just right. I opted for the special scalp care since it was my first time, which was currently discounted by 20%. (priced at $158.40 instead of $198 before discounts). Although I enjoyed this experience, my boyfriend did not get the full experience like I did. He felt that the procedure was hurried and didn't achieve a sense of relaxation. Overall, it was a good experience for a special occasion, but very pricey.

I have terrible scalp eczema so this place is like heaven to me. It has helped my scalp so much and since I've come 2x I've made a lot of progress clearing up my eczema. It's relaxing and feels great, plus they're always friendly. I'll be coming back regularly because it's worth the price imho.

Highly highly recommend this place. I was in need of a good scalp treatment and I'm so glad to have found H20. It's a very calming presence when you walk in and I love the decor. You should make an appointment online because they are booked. I had to check a few times to look for cancellations and was able to get an earlier appointment. They're running a special promo right now for 20% so definitely take an advantage of it! I got the beginner head treatment. It starts off with a back and neck massage. Which I didn't expect but it felt so nice! Then the best part begins. Washing my hair and a head massage!!! Abby took pictures of my scalp to show me the build up and gave me some pointers. Then we began with multiple washes. I think she washed about 6 times. The after result is mind blowing. She washed and massaged my head at the same time and it was so thorough. We wrapped things up with drying my hair outside. I think Abby did a great job with my hair. It felt so soft afterwards and I couldn't stop touching my hair! I would go back and try the dandruff treatment. This appointment took over an hour and it was well worth it.

I've been looking for a place like this since forever due to my dandruff and itchy scalp but thanks to tik tok I was able to stumble upon this place. The appointment you can easily book online which is pretty easy to navigate and then they'll have set packages for you to choose from. On the day of the appointment , I checked in at the front desk and both of the workers were really accommodating . She told me to lay down and gave me a massage then proceed with the scalp treatment . She showed me how much build up I had in my hair before and recommended me the intermediate package because I had a lot going on with my scalp. During the procedure she provided me advice/tips with scalp treatment and what to do after this. I remember her washing my hair about 6 times and that the head massages were relaxing. Her hands were very delicate I'd say. Overall my experience was a 10/10 ! I left feeling my hair and my scalp feeling spotless with no dandruff or itchiness in sight . My hair also felt really soft as well but one thing I noticed is that my hair color faded a little bit but it's okay I can easily toned it again. I would definitely come back again since I know my hair is going to have some build up again. But overall the experience was amazing and relaxing . I really enjoyed the massage since I was a bit tense.

It's nearly impossible to book an appointment online. I get daily waitlist notifications saying there's spots open, but nothing shows when you open the text or email - even when you open it right away. Is the booking system broken?

I think they are fully booked right now because lots of people saw them on TikTok. U can try to call them and keep checking the website update.

Is anyone having trouble booking on the website? It keeps giving me the beginning of the month of august :(

I had to message them on their Instagram.

Do you offer gift certificates/gift cards?

    Yes they do.

If you call is there more open availability for appointments or is the website accurate?

I doubt their booking system is accurate. I'd call to see if that's easier.

Color treated hair friendly place. They use olaplex!

Do they have you get naked to shower?

Yes but you are alone in the room when you underdress, shower and get dressed. You're under a towel when they do the treatment.

Yes of course! I don't see a problem with this!

No. Head and scalp massage but they'll do a light body massage beforehand.

The scent in the space was pleasant, though a bit strong and slightly overwhelming at times. Massage room had a nice and simple vibe. At the start of the session, I felt the therapist spent a fair amount of time adjusting "warming up" positioning, tucking sheets, and moving items around, which made it take a while for the massage to really get going. Once it did, the techniques themselves were good, but the overall experience leaned more toward relaxation than firm pressure. As this was my first visit, I chose the Swedish firm massage. I understand Swedish massage is typically lighter, but I expected more pressure given the "firm" description -thinking I'd have the best of both in one massage. While the massage was enjoyable, it felt lighter than my preference and left me wanting more. It wasn't bad by any means, just not my style, as I prefer a deeper, more consistent pressure. Overall, I would consider the massage average, but I am open to trying other massage styles they offer and likely for longer too. I did decide to sign up for the membership, which seems like a decent value and didn't cost anything to join. I figured I would go back again every so often. I'm hopeful a different service will better match my preferences.

Unfortunately, we both ended up really disappointed. The "massage" felt more like someone just applying lotion to our skin. There was little to no pressure, and it didn't feel like an actual foot massage at all. Even after my sister asked her therapist to go firmer, nothing changed. I was too shy to say anything myself, but I kept my eyes open the entire time just waiting for it to be over. On top of that, the environment was really loud since it's in a more open/public area. It would definitely help if they closed the door so that we don't hear customers walking in. I would suggest to create a more relaxing atmosphere. Normally, massages help us relax or even fall asleep but this one did the complete opposite. It honestly felt like we paid just to be lathered in lotion. I just stared at the ceiling, frustrated and counting down the minutes until it was over. I get massages quite often, sometimes 2-3x a month, but this was definitely ranked at the bottom of my list. We also feel like there needs to be better training for the therapists. People come in after long, exhausting days and spend their hard-earned money expecting a quality, relaxing experience, not something that feels ineffective. Massages shouldn't be a hit-or-miss service, they should consistently be excellent. Given that this felt similar to our past experience at their other location, it seems like a pattern that could really be improved with better staff training. Looking back, we probably should've trusted our instincts given our past experience and the not-so-great reviews. We won't be returning. The only positive was the front receptionist, who was very kind. Overall, just really disappointed, which is unfortunate since this place is very close by to where I live and it would have been my go to for massages 1x a month. We both wish we had spent that money on something that actually helped us relax. Save your money and go elsewhere.

Unfortunately, the constant noise made it difficult to fully relax and took away from the overall experience. I hope improvements can be made to keep noise levels down, because a quiet atmosphere truly makes all the difference

We tend to tip ~20% after each service (occasionally higher when we get our favorite massage therapists) We went last night and the lady with the Zelle name "Li Zhao" was quite rude. Instead of asking if we want to tip, she asked if I had Zelle. I knew what she meant and said yes. I did a rough math estimate for 20% for both therapists and sent the money. She asked if it was supposed to split for two therapists. I said yes she then said something to her coworkers and acted like it was not enough until a coworker said something back. She then turned around looking upset but still said thank you. We left confused and felt like she was judging us for tipping 20%? In my opinion, tipping should always be OPTIONAL but I will always tip for services knowing it is optional. Also here's the math: the total was $254 and I tipped $50 which is ~20%. I did the math in my head so I knew I maybe short with some change. When I do the calculation on a calculator it should've been $50.80. I was short $0.80 but I didn't think that much would be bothersome??? Giving 4/5 for all the good experiences. However for the lady, 1/5 for greed.

I went in, told them I was there for a prenatal massage and I wanted them to knead on my knots, I didn't want to be rubbed with oil. She seemed to understand English. I went in then room and she asked me to lay on my belly. I pointed at my belly and said Im pregnant. I should've left then but I gave her a second chance. Of course she put a lot of oil and started rubbing me. I asked for more pressure 5 times and she would go back to her normal pressure. She would just repeat one pattern over and over again on my legs and hands and back. In the middle of the massage, she asked me to lay on my back and I had to remind her I was 8 months pregnant and couldn't lay on my back. She said but I want to massage your head. Im like but Im pregnant, I can't lay on my back!! I was not happy so I tipped her low. She said this was a $95 massage and I said you don't know how to massage a pregnant woman. She just looked at me like she was not convinced. Then she followed me all the way to my car to get more tip. If you care about your tip money, please deliver good service. If you don't provide prenatal massage be honest and let your customer know! Don't expect to be tipped if you don't know the basics of massage.

I've been seeing Lucy--and her "team" since they've been open last year--and I've been using Lucy…read moreas my primary massage therapist for 3+ years. Prior to seeing Lucy to deal with my shoulder issues, I've had hundreds of massages around the world--Bernardus Lodge in Carmel Valley, The Ritz Carlton at Half Moon Bay, 10,000 Waves in New Mexico, etc. Hands down, the technique, pressure, and precision of massage therapy at Luxe Spa is second to none--even though the humble establishment is discreetly posited in small market parking lot. Lucy and her therapists know exactly the spots to rub and push out and they use a variety of sophisticated techniques--even "walking" on the back use toes like fingers to press out spots of tension. Truth be told, it is a newer business and things don't go perfect every time, but Lucy is very gracious and professional if there's ever a schedule mix-up or if a therapist used happens to fall below expectations (rare), Lucy always goes out of her way to make it right. I can't emphasize enough how 'renewed' I feel every session--and I've had over 30 for this year. WORTH. EVERY. PENNY. Go there!

Unprofessional and Disrespectful Experience from Start to Finish…read more My friend purchased a Groupon deal for a therapeutic massage for my birthday, and I was really looking forward to it. I haven't had a massage since I gave birth, and given how stressful things have been, I was excited to finally relax. Unfortunately, the experience was frustrating from the very beginning. The woman at the front desk initially did not want to accept our vouchers. She called the manager, who then told us to cancel our Groupon vouchers and pay them directly instead. This was extremely inconvenient, especially since there is no guarantee that Groupon refunds go through right away and can take 3-5 business days to process. We declined, but they continued to push us to pay upfront even though we already had valid, prepaid vouchers ready to use. It wasn't until I said, "Are you saying we can't be seen today? Because we are not going to cancel our vouchers," that they finally agreed to take us back. During the massage, the two masseuses kept talking to each other and laughing. Instead of being in a calm, relaxing environment with peaceful music, it felt distracting and uncomfortable. The constant talking and laughter made me feel uneasy, and at times it even felt like we were being talked about. The situation got worse at checkout. We both left a tip, and when they asked how much we would be tipping, one of the masseuses said in her language to the other, "She's only tipping ____," and they both laughed. Then the other masseuse responded, "How about ____?" This felt extremely inappropriate and unprofessional. Tipping should be based on the customer's discretion, not something that is commented on or suggested in that way. Overall, this experience was far from relaxing and left me feeling uncomfortable and disrespected. I will NOT be returning.

Bring cash so you won't be charged over $3 to use the credit card machine…read more I inquired about an hour-long massage. It seemed straightforward: $70, but when I told the woman at the front desk I wanted to pay with a card, she added $3+ and then asked what I wanted to tip before the service. I believe tips are necessary but earned in the service industry, so it depends on how good the service is. I told her that, and she didn't understand. I couldn't tip after because she said I had to pay simultaneously.

The massage was not impressive and IT WAS NOT a deep tissue massage. The lady ended the massage 7 minutes early and at one point took a phone call which pretty much made the "hour" massage more like "50 minutes". As I walked out, she proceeds to ask me for a tip. I've dealt with massage places before and I don't put up with their insisting of tipping them what they want - I tip based on service not on recommended percentage. I told her $10 and she said "what!? other people give me $20" in a rude manner. I told her "either the $10 or nothing". She kept mumbling under her breath and charged me $10 + again a $3 "card fee". As I walked out, she proceeds to tell me to not come back anymore. You sure will not see me in that place again, lady. If you weren't so greedy your place would be more successful and not have 80% of your rooms empty. I'll make sure I contact the proper organization so they can go and check everyone for their licenses to massage. They don't care about giving you a massage. They care about taking out as much money from you as possible. Don't go to this place!!!!
