The dude behind the counter was super chill--he let us roam around and even noticed me eyeing the chocolate-covered espresso bean gumball machine, proceeding to point out the stash of "secret quarters" so I could grab some! ​I ordered a chilled chai latte for the road, which came out super fast in a really neat, crafty cup. The drink was just as sweet and cozy as the shop itself. I love local mom-and-pop places like this, and I'd take a double shot at this spot any day!

Though it's been a good handful of years since then I still miss Teavana dearly. Giraffe Coffee was a fun experience and Angel, the lovely person working the shop was such a delight. Very sweet and engaging. ^__^ She prepared my small frozen blended coffee, which I had with almond milk & hazelnut syrup. Honestly, the coffee was WAY too sweet for my personal preference, but of course I still had a nice time there. The boost of energy was why I did it! It certainly provided that and a mild tummy ache afterward lol.. Next time I'll have to try one of their teas! My only reason for swinging by the mall as soon as I got off work was to do some product exchanges at another business there, which was successful. Never hurts trying someth'n new and all! Again, next time I'm trying one of their teas. It's still really weird for me knowing Teavana isn't there anymore, and honestly I don't think I'll ever be "used" to it. Later she brought me a bag of food and then after me sleeping in my vehicle for 2 days she gathered up the money so me and my dogs didn't have to sleep in the cold on the coldest days of the year this year in January of 2024 when he's going to be in the minus zero minus 60 degrees I came back to the hospital and there was money left there for me to get a room so I can stay warm and stay down here with my mom. I couldn't taste either the vanilla or the coffee, and there were some strange white bits floating throughout the drink that made it even more off-putting. To be fair, the service was friendly, the drink was made quickly, and the shop itself seemed like a nice place to sit down and get some work done. The atmosphere was pleasant and I could see why people enjoy spending time there. Unfortunately, none of that could make up for the coffee. The drink was genuinely unpleasant, and since that's the main reason I came, I can't overlook how bad it tasted.
