It means stock isn't sitting around past it's quality date. Note -- the portions are a little small. It's more about the quality and the savoring of an experience -- rather than a giant drink. The place is pretty small with just a table and 2 chairs for waiting, they also have a drive thru which I believe is best because the inside is so small and can't really fit lots of people but I do however appreciate that they still have the inside open for those who are like me and still like stepping into places. I arrived at New Town at Harmony subdivision - a new planned community that I immediately fell in love with. Alchemy House shares a small building with the management company for the property and has limited seating inside but a nice courtyard where you could sit and watch the residents in their golf carts heading to the fitness center, postal building or walking their dogs to the nearby canal, lake or Blue Creek trails. A truly idyllic small town feeling amongst beautiful small homes. As soon as I stepped foot inside I was greeted by the owner Jonathan, and given the lowdown on the business, community, and coffee industry- a great host that told me he is an engineer by profession, but I'm pretty sure that he has a PhD in customer service! I ordered one of their signature drinks - The Philosopher's Stone; an espresso latte beverage with vanilla, cinnamon and honey. Perfect. The residents of this small community are blessed to have such a hidden gem in their neighborhood and if it wasn't so far away, Id certainly be a weekend regular.

They had two hot and one iced. Before I even entered too far into the quaint shop, Kim mentioned tea samples--not just to drink but a small bag of loose leaf. She was the sweetest--in my conversation with her while I entered the store, I said I had just checked in on Yelp. Yelp said something about an ounce (seems like too much to just give away...), the samples were less than that, but I didn't mind, I thought it was cool they even did that--she ended up letting me choose two--so hard to decide when the two I chose sounded delicious! They have a fantastic array of teas: black, herbal, tisanes, green to name a few of their loose leaf teas. They also have an assortment of boxed/tin of teas too and from various companies. I tried the iced one they were sampling (Strawberry & Vanilla) from London Fruit & Herb Company. It was so refreshing I bought a box! I told Kim I was hosting a small afternoon tea for my Mum's birthday and she had some wonderful ideas! Not only for the teas from which to choose, but also some noshes to pair with them. While loading my arms with all the goodness, Kailee popped over and offered a basket for my finds! Thank you!! Everyone there is friendly and knowledgeable. Case in point, after having tried the iced tea, i asked out to make it with correct proportions of tea:water:ice, to which Kim supplied not only a verbal answer, but also gave me a card with brewing directions!
