I just love this little tea shop! They are so friendly and always very supportive in helping you find the perfect tea. We had the pleasure of attending The Spooky Time Tea at her beautiful, historic home and it was delightful! I am including the menu in the review. The tea served was their seasonal Pumpkin Cheesecake tea and it was delicious. You do only get the tea of the day, so there is no choice, but it is still enjoyable. The food came out on a traditional tiered tray and was tasty. Overall, it's just a very fun experience. I highly recommend checking the schedule as there are holiday teas coming up. read more

Simply the best tea shop in the metropolitan area! A wide selection of really excellent teas. The staff is very knowledgeable and super friendly. I was hoping this was going to be a great tea room but was disappointed. The house is beautiful and the service was good but the food and the tea was such a disappointment. As with the tea we should have had a choice of teas not what they wanted to give us and then tell us we could go to the tea store and sample what they had that morning. We were here for tea? And as the food it consisted of a 3/4 of a sandwich a scone and three small cookies and one cherry? For what we paid so disappointed I have been to other tea rooms and i guess my standers are high. The only thing was the gentleman that shared our table was a delight. As far as the finding the place that was a little Difficult Also not enough signs To tell you where to go . I made an online order for the Vanilla Lemongrass Herbal Tea. I was looking for a tea similar to one I tried at Burke Williams, a spa, and this website showed up. The reviewed seemed positive on Facebook so I decided to order multiple bags to give as gifts. The order came fairly quickly, but the tea leaves are very mild. It requires a LOT to get a decent flavor. After trying 1 bag, which I opened, I asked if I could return the rest or get a refund, and the answer was no. The rep asked if I would consider having other flavor tea leaves shipped out but I have not received a response. It's been over a month since our last email correspondence. Honestly, pretty disappointing - quality and customer service wise. I wish I had been more conservative in my order if i knew the tea leaves were not strong and their inflexible return policy. read more

We went for a tea party this morning. It was a lot of fun, but they definitely gave lots of 'rules'. Like, we had to stand outside and wait until they were ready to seat us. It wasn't too cold outside, but a definite risk in January. (You can wait in the shop, but there isn't room for everyone attending to be milling around in there either.) You aren't allowed to hang your coat on the chair, but you have to ask them to hang it for you... Parking around the corner and walking to the house... Etc. Weird. Check the website before you get there! After a rocky first impression, we were seated. We had a lovely table by the window. The house was decorated for the holidays, so it felt festive. The variety of teas were fun to try and the food was yummy. Great desserts, soup, scones. It lasted about an hour and a half, which was a fun way to spend the morning. All of that said, the owners did seem to warm up a bit after they hit their stride. It just seemed like at the beginning they were surprised to have 15 people on their front porch. read more

Took a group for a Private Tea to Anna Marie's. The tea is advertised for a 2 hour event, and the hostess was asked if the customers would have enough to eat for a lunch. The group was disappointed, and left hungry. Only able to taste one tea, and the tea lasted approximately an hour. This is a quant little tea shop on the historic Liberty Square. It has a great variety loose leaf teas at a reasonable price. The owner used to have this tea shop on the main level of her Inn but she has now moved to a more high traffic area and expanded her hours. The shop offers green, white, black and specialty teas. We bought the Mountain Mao Feng Green tea and the Lapsang Souching teas. Both are delicious. They have small containers of each tea out so you can test the aroma. I love tea, but I usually order online. I went searching for a local brick and mortar spot and found Anna Marie's Teas. I like this place. It's quiet, the staff is knowledgeable, and they have a good variety of teas. They have a huge selection of my favorite, rooibos, which yes I know is technically not tea. The lemon soufflé and carrot cake rooibos are amazing. They also have blacks, greens (including matcha), and other herbals. It's a bit of a drive for me but I'll be back. The only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars is I wish the staff had been a bit more attentive on my first visit. Now that I've established myself as a repeat customer they are appropriately attentive, not clingy but available. read more

Nice shop for tea with a pretty good selection. A word of warning if you plan to attend the Tea for Health/Essential Oils class (for a fee),....tea was discussed for about 5 minutes. The remaining time was lead by a chiropractor who discussed the oils she uses in her practice. I felt like I was sitting through an infomercial for her. To top it off, she gave out business cards and discount cards for initial consultations. I gained no knowledge of teas for health, unfortunately. Not worth the trip.
