Cute hometown place, huge menu, drive-thru available! Their breakfast isn't available all day, so be sure to check times before you go! They had a very creative Halloween menu, and I enjoyed the Slasher's Salted Caramel- fun touch with the raspberry! Staff was very helpful and kind. read more

This used to be old Papa's cafe. Loved the changes. The place looks great. Staff are very friendly. Great selection of baked goods, although I only had a drink. I tried the Cindy Lou Who. I had no idea what it was but the staff described it and it was as delicious as it sounded. They have a variety of milks for everyone's dietary needs. read more

I went to this coffee shop for the first time today and I'm hooked I walked in and immediately was greeted by 2 friendly ladies. They helped me navigate their menu with a wide variety of options! They have so many flavors, drinks, and even treats! I ordered the Raspberry Vanilla Iced Latte and it was the BEST!! Might I also add, very affordable! You can tell that love and effort was poured into the drink! Would be the perfect cozy, quiet coffee shop to study or read read more

Alexander's Meeting Grounds Coffee - Raspberry Vanilla Latte - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Liberty, Missouri

This space was always a store that I refused to patronize because of the offensive political propaganda that was posted on the building. On my recent trip to Liberty, I was glad to see that the name had changed, the right-wing propaganda had been removed and new owners had taken over. Sweet. I had a cold brew because the day of the week that I was there they were 50% off. A great deal making the drink price competitive with my own home-distilled cold brew - but tasting better. There are plenty of seats inside, although from the outside it would not appear that way. I'd stop in again. read more

Necie was immediately welcoming which was refreshing. I wanted to try something new so I went with the baristas choice which is when she ask you questions and comes up with a drink. I ended up with a white chocolate and macadamia latte hot with oat milk that was very good. I had never had macadamia and the coffee overall was a very good flavor. They had macaroon for sale, that were limited from an event they had. I had blood orange I also had never had a macaroon before and I'll be okay to not try them again it wasn't for me. But they were cutely decorated and had different flavors from a local business name lilys macaroon. read more

I always get a medium regular coffee with skim latte. It's usually after I've gone to the doctor's when they tell me I have to fast. Therefore, it tastes extra good! read more

Cutest new coffee shop! Opened in November 2022 and I'm so sad I'm just barely finding it! Love how many different options there are--you can really customize it however you want! I LOVED my drink. The barista (Morgan?) had great recommendations and my drink reminded me of Christopher Elbow chocolates. It had a strong bitter cacao taste with some deep real tasting raspberry. It was perfect! My friend got the Luau drink--a summer specialty flavor. It was coconut-y and soooo sweet! Also loved that drink as well. Can't go wrong here. Can't wait to come back and try the Italian sodas. ***ALSO they have pup cups! Can't wait to bring my doggo through the drive through next time. ANOTHER NOTE: all the past 1 star reviews are of the coffee shop that USED to be here. It's now updated and beautiful and clean inside. No political pushes and just a good study or catch up spot. They even have games you can play with friends. read more

If you're ever going to stop by here on a week day, make sure you have about half an hour to sit in their drive thru before going into work. I sat in the drive thru for like 15 minutes with one single car in front of me. And there is no way out of their drive thru lane so you're stuck in it until the car in front of you leaves. Never trying to come through here on the way to work again. read more

This is such a cute place that I didn't know existed. Clean, cute, super friendly, and they have my favorite flavor of coffee ever! Back in 2006 a famous coffee chain had a banana coconut drink that they never brought back. All my dreams came true when I saw that they have a banana coconut flavor in their menu called funky monkey . It was crazy sweet. I'm not even sure it had espresso in it so next time I'll be sure to add a shot or 2. The service was exceptional and I can't wait to go back. read more

My first visit and I was not impressed with the crying baby the entire time of my visit. My guest and I could barely hear each other over the crying baby. The barista was trying to keep her infant child satisfied and wait on customers at the same time. It did not work well. Their product is good, and the pastries are a great selection. I realize this is a family business but either the barista needs to stay home with her crying child, or another family member needs to take care of the child outside of the restaurant. One employee took the baby in a back room, but you could still him crying in the main area. I understand mothers and their babies, but a crying baby does not belong in a business place as it is very disruptive to customers. I would have to give a second thought on returning. read more

A cute little shop in an old bank location. There are amazing things going on here. The staff is always friendly, there are plenty of food and drink options, and everything is amazing. read more

Drink selection is amazing! Fun, candy bar flavored drinks that don't disappoint. Even the sugar free flavors are delectable. The service is fantastic- we happened to comment to one another about the temperature of the restaurant as we were ordering and the teen employee asked- are you guys cold? Very impressive for a teen associate, especially! Drive through is quick, as we did this another day too. Only drawback is that you won't find what feels like private seating here- doesn't feel like other coffee shops where you can have a quiet, private conversation. But if you are looking for some AMAZING (what I would now consider my favorite coffee in KC!)- you can NOT miss Meeting Grounds! read more

Horrible service. Very rude staff. Location is awful. Coffee tastes terrible. Would not recommend at all.

Went here yesterday on my day off! My friend suggested coming here. I happened to be in the area. I'm so glad I went here! I tried the Twix Iced Coffee! It was so delicious!! Such great flavor and the coffee was so good in it. The caramel in it was just divine and it also had mocha and vanilla. Good for the price and I actually got the right amount of coffee and not just full to the brim with ice. I hate it when my drinks are mostly ice and you get like 2oz of the actual drink. I wish it was closer!!! I want to go again!! Wish they opened up a location in KC, MO. Like on Barry Road! read more

Love their coffee! Quick and typically have great deals if you ask. It's so nice they have so many sugar free flavors. The inside is small but there is some seating but a lot of the regulars were pretty loud. Definitely more of a grab and go or drive thru place. read more

The service was great! The burrito bussin and the coffee scintillating 10/10 would recommend

A cute little small coffee shop with lots of flavor options! I ordered one of their seasonal drinks - Luau in KC, which has coconut, macadamia, and white chocolate - and my mom ordered an iced Heath latte. The coffee is decent, nothing too special for a coffee lover, they mainly play to those who like flavors vs. the actual espresso - nothing wrong with that! We ended up getting the "night owl" special for going an hour before closing, which gets you a small discount on your coffee. The service was great and the barista was patient with all of our questions, while also being personable and laughing with us with some small talk. If you enjoy more syrup forward coffee, this place is a great stop! read more

Papa's Coffee Express is nothing short of amazing. So amazing, that I have been two days in a row! I am an iced latte girl so I tried two different Iced Lattes. I tried the "Love Maker" iced, which is a latte with vanilla and caramel. This drink was incredible. Although it was a sweet drink, there was still a very strong coffee flavor - I was impressed! Next, I got a latte with caramel and butterscotch. I found my new favorite coffee drink. This latte is going to be hard to top. I was very happy with the service and coffees from Papa's Coffee Express. I am happy to have found a great local coffee place in Liberty. The best part, there is a drive through! read more

Skip this place and go to Overflow Coffee instead. The coffee is a BILLION times better. I have tired it twice. First time the coffee was burnt AF and watery at the same time. Second time I got a simple ice coffee and it tasted like the milk was on edge of spoiling. Went in a while back. The owner was very nice. Chatted up a bit. Told me the history of the place. Coffee was a pour-over because he was no longer serving from the carafe. Problem was he didn't weigh the water. He just guessed on the ratio. The coffee ended up being rather diluted. I sat to get some work done. There were a bunch of old ladies sitting in the main room gossiping about the prince of England, his wife and their new baby. After they left, the owner all of the sudden turned off the lights overhead! I asked him about it. He said he only kept them on for the women, otherwise he was saving electricity. No concern for the fact that I was a paying customer, sitting in the room doing work, and needed the light. Then he came in, sat in one of the chairs, turned on the obnoxious television, and fell asleep! I had to keep my earbuds in and turn up the volume just to drown out the show he was watching. I won't be going back. read more

Papa's is a locally owned shop where you'll probably always find the owner. Papa's has been open since the last couple weeks of last year and if you ask a lot of folks in Liberty, we're thrilled to have an option over Starbuck's. This is a place were locals can have a conversation over coffee and maybe a pastry. After several visits, I don't think the intent is to be the best coffee in town. They use Roasterie beans and give The Roasterie very visible billing on signage and Roasterie branded cups. The coffee is good but add the local factor and the score goes way up. I trust "Papa Jeff" and I like the fact that my $2.44 for a large Americano is staying in town. Papa offers locally made baked goods and they're petty damn good. Papa's is a friendly place, the more time I spend there, the more I like it so I'll do my part to help them stick around. read more

Really enjoyed the coffee from this little gem in Liberty! They serve Roasterie and do it well - flavor was strong and temperature was good and hot. The drip coffee was solid. For those who love the many coffee creations inspired by Starbucks, Papa's has plenty of that too. I believe there is even a "candy bar latte" option, or something similar. My vanilla latte was a little too sweet for my taste, so I would ask for less syrup next time, but it was still delicious (and exactly what I used to love before developing more of an appreciation for regular coffee). There is a drive thru and the cup sizes runs true to Sbux too - so if you're in the area and haven't tried it what are you waiting for?? We zipped in and out while there was a line in the nearby Sbux drive thru at least five cars deep. love having a great coffee option when I'm in this area of the city. read more
