plastic found in salmon poke
Chara C.

This location is really nice, large (much more spacious than Bellevue's), clean and bright. Lots of free parking. Employees are nice. However, the deli section - we got kimbap and salmon poke - was not up to par. The kimbap was mid tasting and a bit dry. The salmon poke was promising but... found a piece of plastic in my food which was really unfortunate

H MART @ REDMOND This location is HUGE compared to Bellevue's. It's easy to find parking in the plaza and it is free. Entering the place is very spacious, I really enjoy how they label everything to produce, fish, etc. All the products are fresh and so well organized. The service is great especially when you check out. It goes by quick and the workers are kind. I really like their sashimi section especially if you're looking to make sushi, this is the spot. There's even a whole section on just pure instant ramen! Another great feature is that there is a bakery, Tour De Les, that's hidden to the right side of the cashiers, super cute little bakery/cafe.

I'm so happy I don't have to go all the way to Bellevue anymore for some of my favorite childhood snacks! Conveniently located in the RTC and near the Red Robin, it's a great place to stop by after running errands. The staff are always sooo helpful whenever I'm having trouble finding stuff (their selection is pretty big) and are very kind. I've been having trouble finding Buldak noodles at QFC since they're always out of stock, but H Mart has a giant selection! Much cheaper as well. The produce section is another one of my favorites, and it's well organized and clean.

Wide selection and of just about everything Korean. Prices are a little too steep compared to some smaller Korean grocery stores in the north end. The store was pretty hard to navigate through due to how the floor plan is set up. I found myself constantly having to find a way around carts left unattended and people strategically placing themselves in the choking points. However, if you like to try new foods and appreciate a wide variety, this location got something for everyone.

Brand name

Rude employees. I asked for exchange of rotten fruit in accordance with their perishable food return policy, and they told me to leave. When i asked to speak to the store manager, the security guard told me he will call the police. When i said i will post on redmond neighborhood groups, he said "we will delete the post", "we will report you to facebook", "we will block you".

Fermented Black bean paste to make jjajangmeon (Korean black bean noodles)

This H mart is so much larger than their Bellevue store! You can actually maneuver a shopping cart around with no traffic jams. Seems like a lot more variety to choose from. I like veggie shopping at this store. It's not as good as their Lynnwood or Federal Way store but much better than Bellevue. Employees are courteous and helpful and several of the Korean employees speak English well so I was able to ask questions. I finally found the fermented black bean paste to make Korean jjajangmymeon. There were a few different brands to choose from. So happy. It was worth the drive r to Redmond to get it.

- plenty of space, lots of options - I'm a fan of this grocery store because it's bigger than the Bellevue one, and it's never as crowded as the Bellevue store. I also like the Paris baguette here as well to look at cute pastries, whether I want to enjoy them or not. They recently started selling general household stuff on the 2nd floor, and you can find pots, blankets, skincare products, or stationary there. They just started, so there was still plenty of space. It's also a good spot to buy cute stuff as well since they have a lot of keychains and plushies.

Dining area for their hot foods

Finally made my way to the newly opened H Mart in Redmond. It is located directly across from the 24 hour fitness, and also has a bakery attached. The space is huge, with tons of items. In comparison to the Bellevue location, this is like the DIsneyland of H Marts. I would say it rivals the location in Lynwood but, I also noticed that this location has a lot more Chinese/Japanese items which makes sense to align to the demographic they would find in Redmond. There is a dedicated room for ramen, their hot foods bar was clean and well stocked with a ton of options, they have a Korean iced coffee fridge section with the pouched iced coffee and viral cups of ice. They have a Tou Les Jour bakery attached which has it's own dining/sit down area (so cute and perfect to grab a coffee and pastry while catching up with a friend) They also had the most impressive alcohol selection I've seen at an H Mart, all locked away at the front of the store in front of the registers. The cashiers were all super friendly and they seemed happy to be there which is always a nice added touch to the experience. If you're in the East Side, this is an answer to your prayers when it comes to Korean groceries, no more having to make the 30 miles trek to Lynwood or settle for the small Bellevue location!

The much anticipated H Mart in Redmond is finally open! Woohoo!! Some logistics first: - This is the old Bed, Bath, and Beyond location, very near the central Redmond Town Center. - Parking is plentiful. Most shoppers know of the large Lynnwood location and the claustrophobic Bellevue location. Size wise, this one is in between. They have a very, very small non-food area but added a dedicated liquor area. There is a roomy deli area. But it was understandably closed or completely sold out when we arrived at 8pm. The usual suspects are well represented - a very large seafood area (much, much better than Bellevue), dry goods of all kinds, produce is abundant, even tofu and seaweed are 'extra'. Teas and drinks of all types are well stocked. Snacks and sweets are ready to tempt you. I was disappointed not to find any cute socks to buy. Even the tiny downtown store has the socks. Otherwise, I am satisfied. We went to a normal checkout line. The checker, a young man, was good. But another lady who might be a bagger tried to ignore my request to wipe the surface that had a gooey residue, upon which the checker was pushing my purchases. I do not want to bring home items smeared with goo. She tore a dry scrap of paper towel, gave it a "toddler" wipe, then told me it won't be cleaned. I stopped the checker for a second time. This time, the checker went to get a cleaning spray to properly wipe the surface before continuing. Thank you, young man! Hey lady, that's what customer service is. Lastly, being the opening weekend, they are giving away free prices when you buy $50+, $100+, etc. The free prices vary. I bought just over $50 and received free chopsticks.

H Mart, inside of Redmond is exactly what the area needed. I visited on the opening day, and for a place that just opened. I thought it was incredibly well stocked, really organized, and the produce was looking extremely fresh. I will be visiting again, I will be purchasing some hard to find items, and I will continue to support H Mart in this area. I imagine that as they stay open, everything will continue to get smoother. I noticed that there was quite a bit of diversity amongst the employees there, and it seemed like a few different languages being spoken. Overall well organized though. I hope the bakery and hot foods area opens soon. When I visited on opening day, I didn't appear to be fully running yet.

Finest selection of fresh produce we have found in Seattle. Well-organized and the choices!!! My!! The stocking staff are extremely helpful. I like you can park on either side with easy access. Prices are always excellent. The selection of tofu (including pudding!) is delightful and the meat department is fresh and clean.

It was really good, the short grain rice was soft, the cabbage was sweet and crunchy, and just was generally just good. I recommend it.

Ask the Community - H Mart

Does this location have a food court?

No it does not. It is in the old Bed Bath & Beyond building. It only has a small in-house deli with a few foods. No food court with multiple vendors like the Lynwood location or like the Seattle Uwajimaya.

Is this location only open on the weekends? Store hours are listed as closed Monday-Thursday.

I suspect the reduced hours apply temporarily. The business has claimed this page, so they have better control over the business info, including hours. They opened last weekend. As others reported, it was chaotic to some degree. I suspect they are…

The first T&T in the USA. Located in Factoria Mall where the Walmart used to be. Flagship sized…read morestore with big bakery and cooked food selection, and a decent sized seating area outside the cashier lanes. The mall has lots of parking, but this Bellevue location gets pretty busy on the weekends so you might need to park further away. The US version looks and feels the same as the Canadian stores. Only thing is that stuff is more expensive compared to Canadian locations, although food being expensive is a general Greater Seattle area issue. I also feel like the Bellevue store has less discounts for food items compared to the smaller Lynnwood store, which makes sense given the Bellevue store is busier and is in a wealthier area. T&T is not going to be the cheapest Asian supermarket, but they are bright, clean, and a good selection of cooked food and bakery items of decent quality. Not perfect by any means, but T&T is the best Chinese supermarket chain in the Seattle area.

I cannot wait for them to build more T&Ts in the East Bay. This is the first one we've been to in…read morethe US, and it did not disappoint. Our visit there was similar to other Asian grocery stores, but pretty much in all ways better. In my opinion, the biggest differences are: Made to order food - we had Jian Bing (Crepes) and Sticky Rice Rolls that were both delicious. These could be standalone food stands and I would easily give them 5 stars for the quality and value. Hot food to go - this was self-serve and a large area. Most Asian grocery stores either don't have this or it's not self-serve Ready to eat refrigerated items - savory side dishes, but also dessert items (parfaits, mochi, cakes, pastries) A soup/congee station I think I could wander this store for hours snacking on things and finding products I've never seen before. The footprint of this store is massive, which allows them to carry more SKUs than typical stores. All of the ready to eat or made to order items gives you lots of options to eat at the store or have a quick meal at home with little to no prep. The store is extremely clean, everything is nicely labeled, and check-out is a breeze with a ton of cashiers as well as self-checkout. If you want to completely ruin your expectations for future Chinese grocery stores, visit T&T! Brendan's Rating: 5.0 Charlotte's Rating: 4.5 Shanying's Rating: 4.0 Winston's Rating: 5.0

Compared to the Bellevue (Crossroads) location, the Redmond store seems much more organized and has nice bright lighting. While Daiso is not known for high-quality items, it's the perfect place if you're looking for cute and cheap goods! My favorite part of the store is their aisle of stickers and stationary with the most adorable characters. I have to control myself otherwise I'd buy all the sticker sheets even though I don't even have a true need for them! The kid in me also has to browse their Sanrio merchandise each time. They have items for the kitchen, bathroom, office, storage and MUCH more. Their various dishes in the back are beautiful, but I'm not sure how durable they actually are. I've visited a few times so far and have been able to control myself enough not to fill a whole shopping basket. I merely just enjoy strolling down each and every aisle in case I spot something of interest. At checkout, the cashier reminded me that sales are final on all items... no returns or exchanges. Just something to keep in mind before you buy!

Prices have definitely increased in the past year (as they have everywhere), but they still have a solid selection of affordable snacks and convenience items that I don't see sold a lot of other places. Keep in mind the self checkout is card only, so if you're paying in cash you'll have to go through regular employee checkout. Bags are also more expensive than at most stores.
