So much to see... spent a lot of time browsing- Hot foods were being prepared and the upstairs section wasn't opened yet.. I know being on vacation I shouldn't worry about ingredients- but I focus so much during the week it's automatic- Mainly watching sugars and oils so it really limited a lot of the instant coffees.. I did buy one that was fairly better than the others.. I had a shopping cart and you can even take it upstairs to the housewares and beauty products. Picked up some Korean skincare and bowls for the furr babies.. Waited for the gimbap but didn't see any arriving.. Went with a roll and of course Korean potato salad. The footprint of this store is massive, which allows them to carry more SKUs than typical stores. All of the ready to eat or made to order items gives you lots of options to eat at the store or have a quick meal at home with little to no prep. The store is extremely clean, everything is nicely labeled, and check-out is a breeze with a ton of cashiers as well as self-checkout. I haven't had much luck with their produce; I skip them. (FYI: The business uses the Yelp photos to post the latest produce that has arrived, which is perfectly legitimate. But because they don't delete the previous photos, the Yelp photos suggest they may have a bigger produce section than they actually have at a given time. I was confused the first time I stepped in.) The shop is located in a strip mall with plentiful parking. The space is older, which I honestly don't care as long as it is clean. I don't require much service since I only need to pay and go. Compared to the Bellevue (Crossroads) location, the Redmond store seems much more organized and has nice bright lighting. While Daiso is not known for high-quality items, it's the perfect place if you're looking for cute and cheap goods! My favorite part of the store is their aisle of stickers and stationary with the most adorable characters. I have to control myself otherwise I'd buy all the sticker sheets even though I don't even have a true need for them! The kid in me also has to browse their Sanrio merchandise each time. They have items for the kitchen, bathroom, office, storage and MUCH more. Their various dishes in the back are beautiful, but I'm not sure how durable they actually are. I've visited a few times so far and have been able to control myself enough not to fill a whole shopping basket.
