I'm biased as I'm a fan of the chain and have been to locations in Seoul, NYC, LA and HK.
bbq doesn't stand for barbecue, it stands for best of the best quality. Lame, but at least the chicken is pretty awesome.
Golden Olive Chicken actually tastes like olive oil fried chicken. Hot Spicy has a good kick that just keeps building. I prefer this place to the long standing establishments in Toronto, but once again, I'm a biased fan of this global joint. I've been to both the Richmond Hill and Sheppard locations and can't wait for the one to open in Dundas!
This specific location is above the Grocery store. Most Korean Food stops at 7 PM. Korean Fried Chicken is made until 9:30 PM. Cup Chicken is a good size for 1-2 people, Whole Chicken is good for at least double that and then some. Ideally, Waffle Fries / Mac & Cheese (or Kraft Dinner for the Canadians here) from the US locations (but not Korea or HK locations) would be included on the menu, but I suppose that's not traditional enough for this true-to-KFC franchise location. If you get there before 7, I'd also recommend ordering the spicy rice cakes or the fish cake soup, that's what I usually get on the side when I order KFC.
I've ordered the Cup of Golden Olive Chicken once and a Half and Half of Golden Olive Chicken and Hot Spicy Chicken. Both times I left very satisfied. read more
