Nice international grocery store in Manassas. I came here after going to another local international grocery store. The previous store I went to (a couple miles down the road) was a mess, it was disorganized and didn't have what I was looking for (service was poor too). Upon entering the first thing I noticed was how clean and organized this grocery store was. I quickly found what I was looking for (galangal) as well as some other items I was seeking. Checking out was easy and the cashier was also much more friendly than the previous place too. This will be my go to from now on. read more

A somewhat newer location of H Mart, this one is located off of Centreville Road. As other locations, they have snack items, candies, produce, specialty items, houseware goods, as well as a bakery section in the back. The hubs and I stopped by a few times while in the area to do some light grocery shopping - we found some great items on sale, such as the trending brown sugar boba ice cream and Kewpie mayo - YAY! The staff here are always welcoming and friendly, and during these uncertain times, have always been conscientious in regards to maintaining a safe shopping experience for their customers. They wipe down carts/baskets, give you hand sanitizer, and disposable plastic gloves to wear. Thank you! The store is smaller, and the aisles are sometimes tight; the lines for checking out sometimes gets backed up, but the cashiers try to work as quickly as they can. Not well stocked. Empty shelves. Not worth the long trip to this H-Mart. It looks big but they have nothing. Chaotic inside. Even vegetable section is largely empty. No garlic! A Korean market has no garlic. And no Korean or Japanese potato chips (just American snacks). Other H-Marts have lots of marinated, ready to cook beef, pork, and chicken. Nothing here. Poor selection for the to-go food (lunch boxes). Mind you: we came just after lunch on a Sunday. They have logistics problems. read more

We purchased $15 of ground beef and pork for boy two days ago. Groceries were properly refrigerated. It's winter here in VA, so no summer heat. When we opened up the package tonight, the meat was rotten. I mean...It was stinking rotten! Obviously, even two days ago, we bought rotten meat from the store. The package sell-by date is still good for another 3 days. No biggie, right? My husband took the packages of rotten stinking meat back to the store for a refund. It's $15...and that's a lot to us. The store refused to refund. He was told my husband that refunds are given on meat only if it's been less than 24 hours after purchase. So Super H Mart- you win. You ripped us off for $15. But - you can bet that I will tell everyone. EVERYONE! It will end up costing you thousands in lost business, with my family, alone. Thank God we didn't eat that meat 2 days earlier...we could have gotten very sick. Don't ever trust the meat at this store. Don't expect to be treated like a valuable customer. All I can say is, they must sell a lot of rotten meat in order to have such terrible customer service. read more

Jesus H. Mart was a guy that founded a bunch of grocery stores which are now loved and followed religiously in Northern VA and other places. If Global Foods is good, H-Mart is better. I first came across H Marts in Queens (NYC), where they are primarily Korean and absolutely incredible. The one up there in Flushing with Namudol inside, is my idea of Korean paradise. Well, the one down here in Manassas is not far off, let me tell you. There's another one further north in Centerville or something, and I've also checked them out down in Atlanta - they all have the same thing going for them, other than the vast array of amazing and decently priced international goods: they all have an awesome Korean restaurant inside! The restaurants are owned by different people. The one here seems to be called K-Town and they make a hell of a Yuk Gae Jang, I highly recommend it! If H Mart were a little more affordable across the board I'd give it a 5. read more

The Manassas HMart is by far the worse grocery store I have ever shopped. I had to return rotten produce. The cashier was incredibly disrespectful and when refunding argued when I challenged that they needed to include the tax. The so called manager argued with me and the cashier gave me the snottiest look I have ever encountered in retail. Produce quality is horrible. For a store, which is supposed to feature asian products, 75% was latino. I could have gone to several other closer stores for that selection. In fact my local Giant had basic asian items, Which H Mart lacked. If you are looking for quality food, considerate staff or asian products, save your time. read more

Very rude customer service. Asked customer service if they had green onions, one of the most common vegetables at an Asian grocery store, and told her that the produce stocker said she didn't have any. Customer service lady tells me "NO! If she says no then no!" and starts to ignore me. It was strange. Even stranger walking back to the produce section confused, I saw the produce stocker coming out with a box of green onions. Huh? read more

This HMart is a solid three. Mainly because it doesn't have an Asian bakery in it and half the store is dedicated to Latin food. I'd brought a friend here excited to show them the wonders of HMart. We still had a good time and got some great items but I was disappointed it wasn't the HMart I'm used to from the DFW area. read more

Was in the area at about 9am on a Wednesday and the cutely designed banner on the building caught my eye so I decided to just walk around this place having some time to kill. They had a wide variety of products. Most of the produce looked to be of good quality and they had quite cheap prices. It is a Korean store so some things were not in English and I wasn't sure what they were. But seems to be a good place to get some unique products that might not be easy to find elsewhere. The place is an interesting mix of old and new. The signage and decor are quite cute but the floors are clearly very old and looked quite grimy and probably should have been replaced prior to opening. I made my way to the back of the store curious of what baked goods they had to offer. In the back was a deli with lots of seating in between the deli and the bakery. While they had been open for 30 minutes there were very few bakery items out. Most of the shelves were empty. But I picked out a couple of what they did have out. What appeared to be a cinnamon and sugar danish and a coconut cream danish. They were incredibly cheap and I only paid $1.03 in total. Unfortunately both danishes were incredibly dry. I assume they were not fresh and they were maybe leftovers from the day before? At least that's my hope, as I have no idea how fresh made danishes would be so dry at opening. They were inedible and I threw both away. But I plan on making a return trip and hopefully be able to update my review. Wegmans and Whole foods are the only places I've been able to find coconut cream danishes. Wegmans no long sales them. And Whole Foods are I think over $3 per danish. So I really hope the ones here were not fresh and I can manage to come by and get some fresh ones. And maybe buy some produce. It also seems to be like a great place to get a quick meal so I look forward to trying that as well. read more

The place is a mess, unorganized and can't trust the cleanliness of it based on my first impression. Everything is uncovered in the seafood displays and who knows how many customers touched the meat before I'm buying it. Went to see what the hot bar has to offer for lunch and nothing was labeled in the trays. All they had is the price by the pound or the price if you eat there. I live in DC but whenever I'm in Virginia I stopped at the supermarket. They have h Mart's that are closer to my home and yet they pale in comparison. The only one that is in the league of the Centerville location is Chantilly. I digress. When going to Spa world I always stop at the Centerville h Mart.a lot of the gloves and soap and product that the body scrubbers at spa world use can be purchased at a fraction of the cost right at the supermarket. Up until now they sold a version of the scrubbing gloves they were little square pockets. However, yesterday I went and they had the full fledge mit. Super psyched that H Mart has now opened in this area! We went this past weekend during the grand opening on April 25 and they had a promotion going on - sign up for their loyalty customer card and receive 2 free gifts! I was impressed by the huge variety and selection of products available at this H Mart. Not only was there every Korean and Japanese item imaginable, there were also many Latino products as well. The Peruvian section was my dream come true! The only thing lacking was Chinese products - if you are looking specifically for Chinese items, your best bet would be to go to Great Wall instead. The produce and seafood sections are quite large, and items were bountiful and fresh. There is a deli section which has salads and hot food for sale, and an area called Ktown that sells Asian meals. You can create your own bibimbap with any toppings you want for just $4.99! Also worth mentioning is the ham & cheese counter and the BBQ section, where you can buy marinated cuts of meat to cook at home - bulgogi made easy! The supermarket is huge and brightly lit. This location was formerly a Giant, and while the interior has been updated, we noticed that the floor was a bit worn and dirty, so this H Mart did not look as "brand new" as it actually is. This post is about the H-mart asian grocery store in Manassas, Virginia. A female Korean manager on duty this morning-5/5/2023 at the customer service department was very rude and totally unprofessional. I tried to purchase a box of radish and the radish box was about 1/4th empty since it was the last box to sell. I explained the partially empty box issue and asked the Korean service manager-"was it ok to fill up the box with some more radish from the shelve". The customer service manager told me she had to ask the produce manager for a solution & called the produce department manager to handle my request. The produce manger gave his permission twice to his clerk to fill up the box as I requested over the phone. The female Korean customer service manager was all there to watch all these processes. I loaded the refilled radish box to my cart and brought it to my car at the parking lot. Suddenly the store clerk who refilled the radish box approached to my car at the parking lot and asked me to bring back the radish box inside to re-weigh according to the female Korean customer service manager. The clerk told me he was so sorry. I could not believe what I just heard and totally frustrated at the stupid customer service manager's action. I just returned the radish box for a refund. (I am a korean myself and a fluent bilingual-Korean & English). I think this Korean service manager is not a right person for the customer service department due to her poor customer service capabilities and irrational behaviors. Look for other Asian grocery stores in Manassas area for much better quality grocery items and more Rational Customer Services!!!! read more

I have seen the commercials in the past and didn't know if and when I would ever been in the area. This is a place you could truly spend a lot of money at, buying snacks. I was able to purchase some Thai tea, which I like. A nice size bag, for under 5 bucks. I just wish they had tapioca pearls. That's what I wanted. Clean store, wonderful selection. It's grocery shopping time! I went to there their grand opening. This store offers a large variety of Korean, Japanese, and American foods. I like their selection of fruits, meats, and seafood. Make sure to get your H Mart card to get the deals they offer. Besides their deals they have good prices on their fruits and vegetables. Also, if you're hungry while shopping they have an in store eatery that serves combination fried rice to bulgogi. This store was formerly Giants. The H in Hmart in this location should be renamed "Hispanic Mart." I suppose if you were looking for Hispanic and latin American foods and groceries you'll hit a homerun. I suppose there were plenty of far east products, but they were not very apparent to me. The BIGGEST DISSAPOINTMENT was the lack of an Asian-style bakery. I was looking for buns and mochi, but the Hispanic-ccentric bakery did not pull through. TLDR: Come here if you're looking for Hispanic groceries. "How many people in you family", I did not answer and proceeded to finalize the check out process while her and another co-worker laughed it off. Excellent selection of vegetables and most are from the US. It only cost me $45 (cooking for 1) for a week's worth of vegetables, pupusas, beans, a pork roast, tortillas, milk, chocolate, etc which is much cheaper than what it would cost at another supermarket. Never realized until now how boring my diet had become buying the same thing every week from other stores...also never realized how limited the selection actually was at those other stores until I walked in here. I would knock off a star for presentation if I cared about that, but it probably helps keep prices low not to dress the store up like a Harris Teeter. read more

One stop shop, please add a bubble tea so I don't have to go anywhere else! They have everything you can think of seriously as far as grocery wise. Also, the little restaurant inside is such a treat. They said don't go food shopping when you're hungry well not in this case... I purposely go there hungry so I can eat. They have Peruvian chicken and latin food also, Korean and Japanese. It's a cafeteria style food so don't expect a gourmet but great considering it's inside a grocery store. One complain, please renovate the disgusting public restroom. I have been shopping here for my groceries for probably 5 years. I gave it now a 1 star because of my experience with one of the cashier name Wendy. Management should send her to customer service training course. This is the second time I was in her register and she has some really serious attitude. When my friends and I go shop here, we tried to avoid her. The last time she did prompt me from writing this review. I gave her my payment and want to make sure that I gave the right amount. She threw it on the counter back to me to count it again. So rude! I told her that I want to make sure I gave her the right amount so she don't get short at the end of her shift or maybe I gave her to much. Clean clean clean! This is probably the nicest Korean store I've been to yet. The much-maligned seafood counter is sparkly clean and well organized. No mystery smells here! Another cool thing about this store is that they have different sized produce. That might not really matter much, but they actually have one bin for big cabbages and another bin for plastic-wrapped small cabbages. So convenient! They do the same with Napa Cabbages, melons, etc. Their produce prices simply can't be beat! read more
