the front of a store on a cloudy day

Not well stocked. Empty shelves. Not worth the long trip to this H-Mart. It looks big but they have nothing. Chaotic inside. Even vegetable section is largely empty. No garlic! A Korean market has no garlic. And no Korean or Japanese potato chips (just American snacks). Other H-Marts have lots of marinated, ready to cook beef, pork, and chicken. Nothing here. Poor selection for the to-go food (lunch boxes). Mind you: we came just after lunch on a Sunday. They have logistics problems.

I have an H in my back

Jesus H. Mart was a guy that founded a bunch of grocery stores which are now loved and followed religiously in Northern VA and other places. If Global Foods is good, H-Mart is better. I first came across H Marts in Queens (NYC), where they are primarily Korean and absolutely incredible. The one up there in Flushing with Namudol inside, is my idea of Korean paradise. Well, the one down here in Manassas is not far off, let me tell you. There's another one further north in Centerville or something, and I've also checked them out down in Atlanta - they all have the same thing going for them, other than the vast array of amazing and decently priced international goods: they all have an awesome Korean restaurant inside! The restaurants are owned by different people. The one here seems to be called K-Town and they make a hell of a Yuk Gae Jang, I highly recommend it! If H Mart were a little more affordable across the board I'd give it a 5.

Great selection of asian products, mainly Korean with some latino goods. Extensive selection of fresh vegetables and fruits. Outstanding offerings for fresh fish, seafood and shell fish. Open 830a to 11p 365 days a week. The H stands for: Han Ah Reum, a Korean phrase meaning "one arm full of groceries

Very dry coconut cream danish. So sad how dry it was! Inedible

Was in the area at about 9am on a Wednesday and the cutely designed banner on the building caught my eye so I decided to just walk around this place having some time to kill. They had a wide variety of products. Most of the produce looked to be of good quality and they had quite cheap prices. It is a Korean store so some things were not in English and I wasn't sure what they were. But seems to be a good place to get some unique products that might not be easy to find elsewhere. The place is an interesting mix of old and new. The signage and decor are quite cute but the floors are clearly very old and looked quite grimy and probably should have been replaced prior to opening. I made my way to the back of the store curious of what baked goods they had to offer. In the back was a deli with lots of seating in between the deli and the bakery. While they had been open for 30 minutes there were very few bakery items out. Most of the shelves were empty. But I picked out a couple of what they did have out. What appeared to be a cinnamon and sugar danish and a coconut cream danish. They were incredibly cheap and I only paid $1.03 in total. Unfortunately both danishes were incredibly dry. I assume they were not fresh and they were maybe leftovers from the day before? At least that's my hope, as I have no idea how fresh made danishes would be so dry at opening. They were inedible and I threw both away. But I plan on making a return trip and hopefully be able to update my review. Wegmans and Whole foods are the only places I've been able to find coconut cream danishes. Wegmans no long sales them. And Whole Foods are I think over $3 per danish. So I really hope the ones here were not fresh and I can manage to come by and get some fresh ones. And maybe buy some produce. It also seems to be like a great place to get a quick meal so I look forward to trying that as well.

They had toilet paper during the great toilet paper shortage of 2020. Lol. For that reason, they get 5 stars.

Don't eat at the korran restaurant in the back of the Hmart. The staff is very rude and the food is not good.

Their menu is focused and concise, which I always appreciate - it suggests they do a few things really well. There's counter seating inside if you want to watch the action, and some high-top tables out front for enjoying the neighborhood buzz. I took a chance on the pork sausage with sauerkraut, and it was spot on. The portion size was definitely satisfying. Pro-tip: Definitely add jalapeños and spicy brown mustard for a fantastic kick! I'll definitely be back to try some of their other offerings and would absolutely recommend this place if you're in the area. Just a heads up that their hours are a bit limited, but its location right next to a bar makes it a perfect stop for a tasty bite before heading in for happy hour.

AYCE kbbq in centreville!…read more I went here with my family who was in town to have some kbbq that was relatively close to where I live. The pricing was a little expensive on the kids side ($20 each) for my toddlers and they definitely did not eat $20 worth. They measure according to height and my 3 year old is on the tall side (thanks to her dad) Other than that, the options were simple. they have limited options and I'm not mad about it! It was focused on flavor and quality rather than 200 things on the item. The buttered squid was sooooo good! I ordered a few of those. Our waiter also was super sweet and accommodating and attentive. It's a very chill atmosphere and has loud r&b/kpop music Def a place to chill and drink with friends

Tonight, it was our usual outing as a family to Meat Project for their all you can eat meat and great affordable price. However, our family was very disappointed in the overall service, quality of side dishes and meat, and the owner and server with how they treated us. We ordered couple different meats like pork belly, brisket, and gopchang. We decided to order some lettuce wraps for our meat, which is a common and delicious Korean tradition and combo to wrap with our meat with a special Korean sauce called ssamjang that make the perfect bite everytime. However, after waiting for 45 minutes, while we were eating our meat, our lettuce wraps were being delayed. Now we are fine with waiting but the issue was that our main server told us multiple times when we questioned about the extended delay that our lettuce wraps were "coming out soon" and "the kitchen was preparing it". After the 45 minutes, we decided that since we were basically almost full with our appetites, and coming to a Korean traditional meat BBQ restaurant, we couldn't miss eating it the way we expected, the owner was called so that we could try to get a better explanation and figure out why this was a first time issue for us. The owner who was a Korean woman, advised to us that they had run out of lettuce and they had deliberately rushed to buy more. However, when the "lettuce wraps" we ordered finally came out on our table, it was romaine lettuce which was cut in very thin strips, clearly not suitable for wrapping meat and other veggies and sauce included. The owner then explained to us they had accidentally bought the wrong type of lettuce and apologized the inconvenience. additionally, our main server/waiter was also very delayed in bringing us other side dishes and meat that we requested at a suitable time for us to enjoy, which added to us losing our appetite even further, which we decided even then to let this slide as we could see it was a busy night. After all of this back and forth, the service manager, our waiter, our host, and the owner of the restaurant never managed to apologize to us for making a mistake on their ends, and how they had been informing us incorrectly that the lettuce was "coming out soon". The owner then decided to let us know that we were free to leave, advised us that we didn't need to pay our bill, and never come back again with the most utmost horrendous and unprofessional attitude, making us look like we were the in the wrong. This was clearly a bad night for us after this outcome, after coming here regularly as frequent customers. We warn all of those families who frequent this location. I promise you that I would never go this far , and I guarantee you I am not the type of person to be a Karen, but this simply could not just slide. As a Korean family, we are truly disappointed.

This is not an exact translation of the above, but I just want to express my appreciation again to WOW (Centreville location) for a truly impressive presentation of Korean food for my grandson's 1st birthday party. I chose the set menu, which was extremely convenient. I knew I could count on the food being delicious as I have ordered their weekly set menu in the recent past (roughly 4 servings included with a different menu each week). The food arrived ahead of schedule. WOW also prepared a warmer set so that the galbi would be warm when it was served. All the serving utensils were provided and the labeled containers were set out on the table by their staff. I left the dessert portion to the discretion of the owner and she matched her selection to the occasion. Everything was not only aesthetically pleasing (I received lots of compliments and questions about where to order) but also the food brought back childhood memories of my own mom's cooking - that was the best! Thank you again for your excellent service and for helping me to express my love to my daughter, my son-in-law and my grandson through your deliciously prepared food!

However after recently going, they raised their price of the meats by $7-8 which does not justify the 1-2 pounds of meat that you get in the bag. Moreover, since there's no price markings, I was even more thrown off when my total came out to $32 instead of $24. Meat also tasted different than usual. Not sure what's been going on but I don't think I'll be coming back again.

We went on a Sunday for lunch, so it wasn't packed and that's how we like it. Our waiter was so nice. He gave us a gadget to press a button whenever we needed him. We started with miso soup, kimchi and salad. Then we tried most of their sides, fried vegetable dumplings (crisp to perfection), corn cheese (the cheese pull on this), rose deokbokgi, kimbap, japchae (clear noodles). Now the cooking begins, we ordered fresh thin sliced pork belly twice. It was soooo good. If you want that crisp, you need to let them leave it a little longer. I know we ordered more meats like bulgogi, but I stopped taking notes. It was that good. Overall, the food was great. It was a little pricey, but you're getting a lot of food options. The meat alone pays for itself. Overall, I would recommend this place. Afterwards, you can walk it off at the mall.
