My worst experience of the cashier. The workers were friendly. However, the cashier a tan skin man was so rude and aggressive. It was my first time there as soon as they opened, 10am who is angry in the morning? The lack of customer service, I asked him did they wash the fish he got an attitude and ask me " am I okay? I accidentally leaned on the counter he said aggressively, " Don't lean on the counter" They are ONLY friendly to their people not to Africans, I didn't pay and left I will NOT spend money where I am not welcomed. Listen, this place is the TRUTH. I love fish but basically didn't eat it for a decade because I don't buy fish from commercial grocery stores in landlocked states. Sue me. I moved back to the DMV last year and tried a few places until I found THIS SPOT! It's now my spot. We have fish Wednesday's (hey my family isn't Catholic ) and the fish we've gotten here has consistently been fresh and AHMAZING. Their branzino might be the best I've ever had. No smell at all, fresh, fluffy and as an oily fish you never have to add much by way of seasoning. Nick remembers everyone by name and order, they also offer a TREMENDOUS variety of fresh seafood and their prices are exactly in line with what you would expect to pay for scrupulously fresh seafood. It's far better than supermarket quality, so don't expect supermarket prices. That said, anyone can fit it in a couple of tiles a month, especially if you have meatless Monday's and Taco Tuesday's ;) Seriously, try it OUT! He also sells almost anything you'd need to cook the fish so if you have salad and a bottle of wine at home already, it's one stop shopping!!! I LOVE THIS PLACE! Upon arrival we were told that they do not, they could not/would not open and shuck clams for customers. Then told that the website could not have been When placing my order for a bag of clams a Caucasian male walks in and orders 3 dozen clams and I am then told I can have whatever amount leftover from the gentleman who ordered after myself and my partner. My mom in Michigan loves Maryland crab cakes. It's been a tradition for over a decade for me to bring her crab meat and make her traditional crab cakes with Old Bay of course. Well, this year there was no Maryland lump crab meat to be had. [sad face]. The guy here directed me to the refrigerator where there were cans of pasteurized lump backfin meat from Columbia (the country, not the city). He assured me it was really good. It sufficed. I mean, it was really good, but not as good as the meat from a Chesapeake Bay crab. If I had to do it again, I would buy it again. It was cheaper than the usually local variety. It's awesome because it's right next to Giant and I got everything I needed for Mother's Day dinner in less than 10 minutes. The place is clean and today it wasnt crowded. Learned about this little gem a week ago from just surfing for crab legs. So it was my Mom's Birthday and she said she wanted crab legs dinner with the family. The best seafood place I've found in all of DMV! I simply aghast this place doesn't have more reviews. Could it be a best kept secret? Apparently they've been around for 34 years. I've been living down the street for a about three years and had no idea they were there. Everything is fresh there and they have a big variety: Snapper, Grouper, Halibut, Salmon, Shrimp, Oysters--you name it, they have it. Did I mention they did an amazing job with the cleaning? Not only did they remove scales they also cut it into fillets at my request at no additional charge. It only took 12 minutes to get dinner finished that night. I was also grateful they had juicy lemons there for purchase as well. This place IS tucked away in a corner so you do have to pay attention. Once in the parking lot go all the way to the back and there you will find this little oasis (complete with salt water smell) for fresh seafood.
