Small corner store on Broad avenue. Small foot print for sure. Maybe the smallest H Mart I have ever been actually. Fruit, produce, meats and poultry and seafood. Had big and small bottles of drinks, but nothing in stock as far as my favorite corn tea. The ready made Kimbap looked a tad too mature and aged for me. read more

Like other reviewers stated, this is a small H Mart. It has a good selection of produce, ready made meals and products and I was able to get what I needed. It doesn't have a food court like the big H Marts. I love that they sell the sushis at a great discount! read more

We needed to buy a few groceries for our AirBnb so we were able to check this Hmart out, and I was pleased with this hmart! I know there are a lot of Hmarts in New Jersey, so I wanted to check out as many as I could. This isn't your biggest Hmart -- it's medium-sized, but it has all the things you would find in your typical Hmart. I don't think there was a food court, but there is a prepared food corner where you can pick up things such as banchan and kimbap. The hmart is also part of a plaza and the plaza had a Starbucks and other stores so you're able to get what you need here. I've been to this Hmart before maybe 3-4 years ago, so it was a nice little refresher being able to see this Hmart! read more

I absolutely love Hmart. I bought some Onigiri with kimchi and seaweed salad on the inside. They were really good, and I always wanted to try some before. I've also always wanted to try the onigiri with tuna or some kind of fish on the inside. I bet that is delicious. I also really love the different assortment of candies, fish, noodles, and rice. I love trying new things, and I should really come here in the future to look for some fresh new ingredients. I would love to see if they have tarot root that I could stir-fry with some vegetables. read more

Hmart in Leonia Compared to the Hmart in Ridgefield, this is very small, but it does serve the Asian population well in the area so that we do not have to go to Ridgefield, Palisades Park or Fort Lee. The main reason we do not frequent this Leonia one is ... due to its size, the "produce selection" is limited. Other than that, we can definitely get most of our grocery here. Due to the size again, the aisles are very narrow and can be very uncomfortable to move around in the store. read more

Used to go here on a regular. Produce was great and reasonably priced, meat selection pretty good and convenient. Now, after a remodel, the selection is half what it was and the prices have doubled, and EVERYTHING else is way above market price. To top it off the new layout is much less conducive to customer convenience . Whoever's idea this all was couldn't have made the place less appealing to customers if they had tried. Not my favorite H-Mart (I prefer the one in Little Ferry) -- but it is serviceable when you need what only they are likely to have. Smaller then it's siblings and from what I gather -- the oldest version in NJ, this location has fewer choices in the produce and seafood aisles -- but plenty to choose from in terms of fresh meats and poultry. If you shop H-Mart for prepared/desiccated/preserved Korean foods -- you will find them here in abundance -- along with freshly made sushi. Not sure I care for the parking situation -- sort of counter-intuitive -- you almost need an algorithm to access the place. Just sayin. read more

I dropped by for one thing and left with two bags stuffed with goodies. Surprise surprise. Haha. I just had to try the matcha bubble tea ice cream bars my friend was raving about. I also wanted to pick up a few produce items while I was there. Let's talk about how Trader's Joes is so unreliable with scallion and cucumbers... Yes, I love you Traders, but you gotta work on your supply chain. It is literally ALWAYS in stock at every Hmart I've been to, including this smaller location. And the produce at Hmart is much higher quality and freshness. Any non-Koreans should seriously get on this bandwagon. You're welcome in advance. If it weren't for the convenience of buying groceries all in one spot, I would get all my produce here. Also picked up basically a cilantro bush (haha) for $1.99. I bet you I would get a teeny bunch at another store for that price. Also I grabbed a red onion here in 1 second, whereas I'm usually digging for like 5 minutes straight only to end up with small and slightly questionable looking one at most places I purchase this item. Who ever is in charge of the produce buying department at Hmart deserves a raise. Highly recommend this local Hmart location. This H Mart is apparently the first in the Northern NJ area, and unlike the other three H Marts in NJ we've been to (Fort Lee, Little Ferry, and Edison), this store is not as large, and the product offering didn't seem to be as great. Nevertheless, my family was looking forward to visiting our fourth H Mart. The food court, which is really one stand, offered options for very reasonable prices. My sister and I shared a marinated beef dish with white rice, a side salad, and some ban chan. Dad and Mom shared a octopus in hot pepper sauce dish. They got ban chan and miso soup. Each of the orders cost $8. Service is always good at H Marts, and this was no exception. From the seafood section to getting samples to the registers and customer service. everyone is so polite and courteous. i like when they bag groceries. Unlike other Asian grocery stores, *cough* Kam Man, they do not throw your food down to you to bag yourself. The customer service rep even took the effort to understand my request to purchase gift certificates. They speak English and Korean mostly, but many of their signs are offered in those two languages as well as Chinese. On the outside, this is not a particularly impressive storefront, and the parking lot entrance and exit is riddled with pot holes. Nevertheless, I prefer H Mart for their variety of produce, housewares, and good service. I also like the prepared foods they have, and their seafood is super fresh. Plus, it doesn't hurt to try free samples. :-) read more

Ok, not only i come here for Good selection of fresh produce and seafood, its the Food Court. Small, run by a Korean couple. Look at menu board, pay at cashier, give receipt to old lady, and she will make your order. Shop while waiting, best kind. We had spicy octopus/squid, kimchi soup, tofu/seafood soup - all came with rice and side dishes of what's in season. Pickled radish kimchi, anchovies with green chili, bean sprout, cabbage kimchi. Yummy! Good service. Delicious food every time. Prices gone up - $8/$10 Considering the portions, (big), worth it. Now that I'm in Cali I miss all my korean food. I loved this place and didn't know it until now. Man, when i go back I'm going to eat a ton...And bring some back too! lol..man oh man, do I miss this place. they've got everything korean you can think of. even sushi & sashimi! and after 6 it's half off or buy one get one free! awesome awesome place. If you need more info, just go and see for yourself. they also have a little bar you can order food from. not bad at all.. if i do say so myself. then again, i am talking this way about it because I miss it so much. I've been coming to this location long before it was H-Mart -- back when it was Met Foods and every other market it became over the years and H-Mart doesn't disappoint! It's right in the center of town, basically across from me and is so convenient when you don't feel like going to a larger supermarket. Their deli is superb. I get the same sandwich every time- Ham & provolone with lettuce, tomato, mayo, oil & vinegar on a round roll. Their deli staff is amazing. They have a decent amount of groceries and household supplies for being a smaller H-Mart than usual. They have a variety of spanish, asian, and American foods which is great. They're very clean as well. Their fresh produce is the best. The reason why I can't give them 5 stars is because they are pricey. You can expect to almost always pay more for items at H-Mart than a larger supermarket. The extra money you'll spend may or may not be worth the convenience of shopping so local -- but if you are a stickler for getting the best deal on stuff, this probably isn't the store for you. read more

I found myself in New Jersey and decided to check out the Hmart in Leonia. . Upon my arrival I realized they don't have a parking lot, so you have to park on the street. This Hmart was highly disappointing. The store is small cramped and they don't have a great selection of produce or fresh fish. The store also didn't seem so clean either. I've been to the Hmart on Central Ave in Yonkers which was like the roles Royce of grocery stores. Yonkers store Which was huge spacious had an amazing selection of everything. read more

Really happy with this place! I couldn't find the right cut of beef to make gyu don at home, and this place has the PERFECT cut. I can also choose the amount I want by scooping it into a container. This place is super clean and organized compared to the one in Bergenfield. I found everything right away, the people were friendly, and it wasn't freezing cold in here. I love Mitsuwa (especially if I'm going to eat at the food court) but this is closer to me. This will be my go - to Asian market from now on! :) read more

Locals are warming to this fairly new iteration of a long-running corner market and my loftiest praise goes to the two Joses who run the deli counter. Jose the older (or at least longer employed) makes the best heros in north Jersey. I know it, he knows it, anyone who has bitten in to one of his sandwiches knows it. How many deli guys use jalapeno pepper in the mix? A fully stuffed large hero--meats, cheese, lettuce, tomato, roast pepper, seasoning, oil and vin, etc.-- goes for $6.99--try to find that anywhere in the region. Long live Jose I and Jose II! It's only Okay. Keep in min that the parking lot has tons of potholes, is kind of tight when you back out and you have tons of Asians driving in and out all day. They are terrible, horrible drivers. So look ALL ways when driving here. They do have good fresh sea food. read more
