Han Nam Bunsik - Korean Near Me - Fort Lee, New Jersey

Great find inside large Korean supermarket for bargain soups. We ordered one spicy seafood soup and one dumpling and rice cake soup. Skip the dumpling and rice cake soup and just order the spicy seafood. It had tons of seafood plus veggies and they can adjust the spice. The only thing we would change is either skip the noodles or replace with rice noodles. Brought a third home for a second meal. read more

The food and service is decent enough for a food court but I did have an issue. I found a piece of plastic in the salad that comes with some dishes. This is unacceptable in ANY food establishment. Check your food carefully before consuming. read more

Went for Weekday Lunch Special Food - 5/5. Jajangmyeon noodles had good bite to them and the sauce was rich in stir-fry flavor. There was a good amount of noodles and plenty of sauce to cover it all. Vegetables and meat amount was generous. Service - 4/5. Food came out quick and pickup was easy. Value - 5/5. The food quality is good, portions are nice and it cost $5. Great lunch location! Han Nam Bunsik - Korean Near Me - Fort Lee, New Jersey

It's a cafeteria like atmosphere but the food is pretty delicious. It's probably the best value to quality ratio in Fort Lee. It's really impressive how many dishes they can do very well in from one kitchen. read more

They're a no frills (cafeteria style) and more affordable option for Korean food, and their variety and flavors are great. Our usuals... jjamppong, jeyook dupbap, dduk mandoo gook, beef fried rice, donkkatsu. We've tried other things and they've all been delicious. (Actually I find their kimchi fried rice too spicy and pasty for my taste, but my family likes it). Their tables/chairs can use some updating and cleaning, but other than that, I'd recommend. read more

Where would you get your lunch fixed for 4.99? I shared the black bean noodle (jjajangmyun) with a friend during lunch on a weekday. The portion is big for the money you pay. In addition, it was probably one of the best tasting jjajangmyun I've had in the east coast- very close to what I used to eat in Korea. Too bad this place is not close from my work. If it was, I would be a regular during the lunch hours. read more

I ordered Tang Su Yuk through Uber Eats for $19.95 and there was NO white rice included. Just the sauce and fried pork. Total rip off and rather cheap of the place if you ask me. Most other Korean or Chinese places will include at least a pint or side of white rice and it costs less overall. Whatever money they're saving by not including rice, I hope it's worth it. I'll certainly never waste my money here again. Food wasn't all that great anyway. read more

This is a must stop after doing the grocery shopping at Han Nam, well unless you want to go home and cook after shopping. The noodles in black bean sauce is very good (although in general I wished this dish had more pork and less potatoes) The spicy brisket (jook gae jang) is my absolute favorite dish. Large portion that includes noodles and rice, perfect for two meals. read more

Small food court located at the entrance of the Han Nam supermarket. It shares the small space with a bakery and there's limited amount of seating. Food is above average and very affordable but they have a serious garbage issue. The trash bins are not covered, located very close to the utilizes and milk station, and leaves a very foul odor. I thought they remedied this issue on previous visit but it was only better because my visit was very early in the day. Odor gets more pronounce as the day goes on and is probably the worst in the evenings. read more

Han Nam Bunsik - Boiled dumplings - Korean Near Me - Fort Lee, New Jersey

This place is absolutely disgusting. I was looking at the menu and asked the cashier a question regarding a plate called japchae rice and this lady was so rude. She looked so annoyed that I was asking questions. She was just sooooo rude. I ordered yuk game jang and japchae rice and one of the side dish included was this pickled jalapeño pepper and radish thing and one of the radish was bitten in half. It has a teeth mark and all. So digested. And both dishes turned out bad also. The rice was soooo sticky, it almost felt like I was eating mochi. I will never order from here again. read more

Went here to buy Korean food after yelping for jajangmyeon, the older lady who took my order confused it with jambong. Fine. I ordered again and paid for both. She seemed very rude about the miscommunication although when I first ordered I already clarified twice I want jajangmyeon. She also seemed extremely reluctant to give me take out boxes for the food I didn't finish considering I already ordered a lot for 2 people. Overall the spicy squid was okay, the other dishes could've been better, but the clincher was the older lady. I've read the review (see below) about bad customer service and usually will try the restaurant just in case it was a one time thing but clearly bad customer service is consistent. Save yourself the trouble and go to a restaurant that serves the same food with better service. ‍ read more

Will definitely order from here again! Good dumpling soup and seafood scallion pancake :)

If you want real Korean "Seoul" food (see what I did there?) then this is the place to be. I ordered their spicy pork dish & Donkatsu and it just hit the spot. It has so much flavor and tasted so incredibly good. Huge portions and not expensive at all... Highly recommend checking this place out! read more

A small casual korean eatery nestled inside Han Nam Chain a large korean grocery. Hands down the best deal for food with most items $10 or so. Lunch can get even cheaper with some specials under $10. No frills, self service counter but definitely my new place for weekday lunch read more

A Korean restaurant located inside the HanNam Mart. On the weekdays, they have different specials, but unfortunately it was on the weekend I came here, so no deals. We ordered the jjajangmyun and regular udong. Both were great. The jjajangmyun feels full and flavorful, and the udong had plenty of seafood for seafood lovers, and you can get a couple of side dishes and the place also has a water dispenser, akin to what you'd find in a restaurant in Korea. The servers behind the counter are friendly, and there's also a table with a bunch of different utensils, including scissors for cutting up noodles. The portions are large and generous, and the pricing without discount is acceptable. If this place were close by, it would be hard not to come here on weekdays for lunch. They didn't have any kimbap available yet at the time I visited, which seems odd, and they also have a sushi offering which I didn't sample. But I'd definitely recommend this location if you're in the area (or even not!). read more

I'm surprised no one has made a Yelp page for this food court! The food court is located inside of Han Nam Chain, which is a Korean market like H Mart. A convenient spot for those who go grocery shopping late and need a quick bite to eat. Here you will find a variety of your most popular Korean food plus sushi. I believe their most popular dishes are their jajangmyun and jampong. I'll have to try that soon since everyone has been telling me how delicious it is! My current favorite item on the menu is their mool nyengmyun and I personally think that it is much better than You Chun or Choiga Naeng Myun. I've also tried their cheonggukjang, tonkatsu and sushi which were also all very good! I would say this place is a little bit like Totowah so come hungry and share a couple of different dishes! read more

It was definitely weird eating dinner inside of a grocery store, but they do a great job. The seafood pancakes had an amazing texture, and the bulgogi tasted like we were at a high end restaurant. Han Nam Bunsik - Seafood Pancakes and Bulgogi. - Korean Near Me - Fort Lee, New Jersey

HanNam Bunsik is located right inside this Korean supermarket to the right. It's food-court style and service is quick, but don't let that fool you into thinking it's cheap quality! The chef is simply a master of his art. I've basically had everything in that menu and love it all. There known for their jajangmyun and jjampong. They have a weekly special so all the people go crazy. I love their udon which is a non-spicy version of the jjampong. Jjampong is spicy!! Don't get this confused with the basic nengbi udon which is the simple Japanese version I ate as a child. They have an assortment of meats over rice: spicy pork (fire), stir fried squid, spicy chicken, and bulgogi. All delicious. Portions are HUGE. Jolmyun is probably one of my fav noodle dishes here. Noodles are so chewy and I love the consistency. The donkatsu is perfect. My sister loves this one. Seafood haemulpajeon is delicious and ginormous. Great for sharing. Chungookjang is delicious but stanky. Super healthy for you so I opt for this a lot. Yukgaejang is dope but spicy AF so beware. read more

I come here at least twice a week for their delicious JjamPpong (spicy seafood noodle soup). Hands down it's the best you can get in the area. Their Jjajangmyun (brown paste noodle) is also good but sometimes, they skimp on the sauce. Spicy beef soup and their fermented soy bean soup is also very delicious. I'm a huge believer in "good, fast, and cheap---choose 2", but man... this place does all 3. It may not be "cheap," per say, but it's affordable. It gets filled up quick during lunch time so try to be there a bit early to avoid the crowd. What are you waiting for?? Go try it!!! read more

Extremely rude. The girl working at 8pm. Called me after I placed an Uber Eats order at 7:55. And told me that they close at 8 and to cancel the order. However, the app, or the restaurant confirmed the order, so I couldn't cancel it on my end. There's no way for me to call Uber on MY end. So I told the driver, the driver couldn't cancel it either. She called me back, and asked if I cancelled it and said "well the driver is here, so I'll just make it." But then proceeded to blame me, and make it seem like it's my fault I didn't cancel it. When Uber DOESN'T GIVE ME THAT OPTION ONCE UBER/RESTAURANT CONFIRMS IT. All while Uber said they won't process refunds because of the virus ordeal. So rude. I don't have uber support number to call, and doesn't give me the option to cancel once it goes through and the driver accepts it. Once the driver accepts it, I can't cancel it. She kept talking over me, and basically blaming me. When this isn't my fault. So rude. Have some manners. Won't be ordering/coming in like I normally do ever again, based off of her reaction and wanting to get off early. Some people don't have jobs right now. Be thankful. read more

I go there only for jjambbong. Jjambbong is really good. But...other foods are not good.

Hands down one of my favorite places to eat in the bergen county area. Normally, I'm not a huge fan of eating at food courts, but Han Nam Bunsik is really something else! Their dishes are generous in portion and extremely fair in price! My mom and I leave the establishment extremely content, paying around $20. Had I order bulgogi dubbab and ddukmandoogook anywhere else, I would have dropped at least $30 + tip and would not be leaving as satisfied as I do when I leave Han Nam. The bulgogi dubbab and ddukmandoogook are my favorites - both NEVER disappoint! It seems that jjajangmyun is also a hit! After ordering her dish, my mom never fails to mention that she should have ordered the jjajangmyun instead - creepily eyeing it being devoured by hungry customers. When friends visit the area, I bring them here simply because the food tastes better than those of the many Korean restaurants around the area. You know it's good when the place is constantly busy and people are always waiting for seats! You also know it's good when you don't have to do groceries but just come for the food! read more

Came on a weekend because the wife and I were craving soup. I got the dumpling soup and it was very hearty. It defrosted the ice that is my heart. The soup was actually the star of the meal. Their food court is a hidden gem when you're craving quick Korean food. I've come here many times when I crave korean noodles but didn't want to go to a sit in restaurant and pay tip. The food comes out pretty quick as well and the price is good for the value. They have a credit card minimum though, I think it was $10? Not sure on top of my head. The food is a bit salty, however, but I consider the place like fast food korean so I'm perfectly happy with it. read more

I been eating here everyday since last Wednesday since I been working in fort lee area. First day I went in, I ordered spicy pork which was 5 star good. Portion was big for the amount of money I paid. Next day, I decided to try something else and ordered pork intestine soup. This was just okay. Not enough flavor and not enough pork intestine in it.. but I was okay with it for $10 meal. Next day, I went back to spicy pork which I loved but it tasted different. It was just alright... it wasn't as spicy as first day and not flavorful. Today I went in and got gamja tang and this was just horrible. This dish is only available on mondays and it's only $7.95 but I felt like I wasted my money on this horrible dish. There is absolutely no flavor to the soup. I understand it's a pork bone soup so soup itself will be bit oily but it was way too oily. I will probably come back and tr read more

My go-to place for a quick and delicious dinner after a long day of work. I normally get jjambbong or jae wook bokkeum. And sometimes the jjajangmyun and dumplings. Those are my favorites!
