This is a Korean grocery store with a decent selection of various foods and other grocery staples. You will be able to find most east Asian foods here, but there might not be a wide variety of brands. They have some decent specials on groceries that can make your grocery bill a little lighter. The live fish selection isn't that great but you can get crabs or lobster there. There is a prepared food section where you can get kimchi fried rice or sushi and sit at one of the tables in the store. If you want baked goods, there is a separate, but attached bakery that operates on the premises Overall, You can do most general grocery shopping here and be happy when you walk out the door. read more

I don't know why there are only 3 stars for this place. It's a lovely location. The produce is very fresh. The meat is fresh, with a large variety and selection of all kinds. The food at the deli is delicious and varied too. Staff were friendly - deli clerk asked if we needed help and to let them know if we had questions. Private parking lot. It is extremely clean and dusted in the store. I don't have anything bad to say about it and think the 3 stars is undeserved. read more

H-Mart has always been a favorite of mine throughout the years. It has a wide selection of Asian products (especially Korean) and also has Chinese, Japanese, and Thai/Vietmanese/etc products as well. There's free parking and the location sells pre-made meals as well. The banchan sold is delicious and I've always liked coming back for more food. The only downside is that H-Mart's prices are a bit higher than other Asian supermarkets, such as Uwajimaya. read more

I was very impressed the selection of sashimi and cooked food they had. My salmon sashimi was fresh with good price. I was planning getting few items there but end of getting lots of food. Give it a try and you will be surprised! read more

I was excited to find out that there was an H Mart that opened in Bellevue so I do not have to drive to either Federal Way or Lynnwood. I really like that they had a deli unlike the other two locations. I didn't like that the isles were so tiny that you can barely walk through without hitting another person's shopping cart. The parking lot is horrible - the spots were tiny. BE EXTREMELY CAREFUL when you come here when you park your car. Other than the cons about this location. I would come here more often to avoid having to drive so far to the other locations. read more

I got charged twice continuously last month, first time I just threw the receipt and took it as a understandable common mistake, but the second time made me feel uncomfortable, cause everything time they charged twice I was with my young toddler, they probably know well that normally a mom with walking toddlers can't have time to double check the receipt... Sigh...Really love Korean food, but probably have to stay away. read more

Meat selection is bad. Cashiers scan items twice. It happened to me twice already. (I have a feeling they do it on purpose, like the other reviwer mentioned). That's bad business. The store has only a few carts with kids seat. When I get there there's literally only 1 or 2. Pokes are not fresh. You can tell by the smell. It smells very fishy. I would only go there if you're desperate for korean food. And don't forget to double check your RECEIPT!!! read more

I studied abroad in Korea for 1 year. I learned the language through Hanyang University, and lived with a Korean family for most of the time there. I've missed Korean food ever since I've come back to America. This store was so exciting to explore! They don't just have fresh Korean ingredients and foods, they also have Korean kitchen items, bathroom items, and other household items. It's like a mini Korea in the middle of Belleuve. The store manager personally escorted me around the store to help me find the right Korean ingredients, and was patient as I explained in Korean what type of (Korean side dishes) I was trying to make. Super friendly associates, good prices on fresh Korean imports, and a very clean and organized store. What more could I ask for? read more

I always love Hmart & this one is a bit different than most. Yes, it still has many of the usual fresh fruits, veggies, fresh seafood, meats, banchan, housewares, etc, BUT it has a few new additions not found at the other Puget Sound Hmarts. For example, deli counter with assorted food items to create a meal, a fresh salad bar (half is more traditional Korean/Asian foods, the other half is traditional salad bar for salads--lettuce, veggies, pasta salad, etc), hot chicken rotisserie (small, natural chickens, like I remember buying in Korea), hot soups are available by the cup containers. Additionally within the store you'll find fresh sushi counter, kimbap, bento box meals, & spring rolls too. There is a seating area to eat your purchases, which is nice. The store also seems to have a greater mix of Western foods to cater to the area, which makes a lot of sense, yet still has all the Korean favorites you'd seek at a Korean market/traditional Hmart. Pricing is FAR better than Uwajimaya with similar offerings. For groceries or a quick bite to eat...Hmart is a great choice! read more

Korean cashiers are very rude. They never greet to customers. No matter the customers are Korean speakers or non-Korean speakers. They need better kind customer service. read more

Ok, this place is located in busy bellevue area. This disappointing H mart is bit different than other H mart. Lets talk about parking... The people here park their cars so weird. They don't give a crap about line. The line is drawn diagonally because it's one way, but some cars are parked perpendicularly, some cars are taking 1 and 1/2 space. One couple with suv drove in from opposite side from one way and caused all stop situation until they backed out(after 3minutes of honking). Then, the girl gets out of the car and standing in the one of the open lot at opposite side from where they are until his man goes around the parking lot. That's just bad etiquette. people were shaking their head as she won't let other car park in that spot. Just park front of pet smart or office depot and walk there, that is more safe. Now we get inside.. The store itself is small but they try to cramp everything in there. No cart where your kid can sit. There is only tiny cart because that's how narrow the hall is. Don't expect people to move out of your way. They will jump in front of you to grab an item instead of wait three second until others pass the area. The cashier area is chaotic. Seriously whoever set up the interior and laid out this place is a moron. I am korean and love korean market, but I wouldn't go here. I rather shop at lynnwood or federal way H-mart, Uwajimaya, or whole food market for more relaxing grocery shopping experience with family. read more

I had the worst customer experience from a customer service lady today. I bought manila clams yesterday and I double-checked with Seafood dept that clams will be alive by today since I needed to cook them today. BUT the clams all opend up today and I thought died(clams may be alive or dead when they open). I was so disappointed and brought them back to H mart in Bellevue and talked to Customer service lady (Mrs. Kang). Her response: "Let me tell you common sense about seafood. Seafood will start dying as soon as you start buying them." My response: "But seafood dept said that they will be alive by today (for sure), and that is why I bought them. Since they confirmed, and the clams died I would need a refund." Her response: "The seafood dept is just trying to sell you, so don't believe everything they say. I will tell you common sense about seafood." My response: "I can't believe you say that about your seafood dept. When I returned dead clams to other store, they refunded it." Her response: "So you do this every time you buy seafood, huh? " My response: "No, I don't. QFC has fresh seafood, so they last at least 1-2 days. Do you always talk to your customer like that?" And she refunded my money finally.. I never had this kind of horrible experience. I am so disappointed and don't want to buy any seafood from them. I wish i could give zero star, but Yelp doesn't allow it, I have to give 1 star. read more

Why does this place have such a low rating?? Its meat/fish section is as good as Uwajimaya, sometimes even better. Veggie/fruit sections are always way fresher than Uwajimaya. I love it! read more

This review is specific to the seafood department. Twice now the guy in the fish section has charged me more than the price agreed upon. First time I asked to filet two types of fish for a total of $40. When I came back about 15 min later, he had prepared $80 of fish. He said he misunderstood me although we talked rather at length about how $40 worth of fish would be enough for two people. Anyway, I thought yeah that can happen so didn't make a big deal since he let me just buy $40 worth. The second time, I picked a fish and asked for a price. He weighed it and said $60. We again talked about how that would be enough for three people. I come back after 15 min or so, and the price sticker said $75. I asked him about the price and he said he never said $60, that he doesn't have any fish smaller than $70-$80 range. Hmmmm. I am wondering if both instances were truly a misunderstanding. I don't think so. read more

It's a smaller Korean grocery store, but I haven't had an issue finding what I need. I like that there's premade banchan (side dishes) and a grab & go deli. There's also a bakery onsite. It's got a better Korean selection than Uwajimaya, and much closer to me, so I end up here for all of my Korean or Asian ingredients not found at Safeway. read more

Obviously this location doesn't have the selection of a regular format but the convenience is undeniable and justifies its premium pricing. Packaged lunch box items are also nice on the go. Finally, I had some issues with some of the produce I bought recently, but the manager was very reasonable when I brought them back for return. Overall I'm happy with this place. read more

They expanded their deli section with more choice but they should expand their register line and create more space because I feel like a sardine but at least it creates some nice convo with your neighbors. Also, I suggest parking near Office Depot because asians can't park in their small parking lot especially during weekend peak hours. read more

Apple pay doesn't work at all. I happen to only have phone with me today. Before I started shopping, I checked that their machine saying it also supports apple pay. It is not true. I spent half hour trying to pay and also tried all the machines. The first tap go through but it has a weird second tap request which always fails. I also asked if they can enter my credit card number manually but this is also not an option. The cashiers were not patient or helping at all. They ignored me and took my cart from me. So I have to leave with no food after 40mins shopping and 30mins trying to pay. read more

I absolutely love this place....especially the deli section where you can find Japanese and Korean selections of both hot and cold dishes for about 2/3-3/4 the average retail prices of other stores such as uwajimaya. They have a great selection of sushi, poke, bulgogi, bbq, etc....and they are so busy during lunch hours that they pump our dishes fresh every five to ten minutes. You can get a bowl of 5 oz grilled salmon and rice for under ten bucks after tax.....you cannot find that anywhere else be it sit down or take out restaurant.... read more

Hmart is a great store if you go to other locations. This one is like the smaller, cleaner version of lynnwood. First I want to talk about the location. I think it was a bold move for h mart to plant itself into downtown bellevue but I feel like realistically it may not have been a smart move for h mart to do this. For one thing, if they chose to put themselves in a location outside of downtown bellevue, they are still going to draw the the same clientele. Korean people will drive the distance for a close Korean supermarket in bellevue. They could have gotten a larger location and stock all that they are normally able to stock in a different location. Otherwise, they definitely have more togo and pre-made items which definitely can cater to downtown location. If you don't want to make lunch there is sushi available to eat. A bar of delicious banchans available for you to choose from. On the plus side, they do get the Korean bakery that is probably going to be amazing. I've had tour de jours in California and it wasn't too bad. Probably won't be going back to this hmart. It was just too uncomfortable to walk around the space with small little grocery carts. read more

Well I used to go this store for a few months and I liked shopping here even though they didn't have too many options of groceries. But pretty neat place. read more

It was the second visit to Belleve H mart. My first visit was two days ago, I need a milk for my baby, a apple for my child. And I planned special dinner at tomorrow. The cashir recognized me and said "You shopping so frequently!" I didn't answer, then she said it again. She asked me a lot. After she know that I am taking care of my children alone, than said "You are not hard. I took care of my 3 children for six months alone! You are not hard!" The other cashir just smile and never stepped in. I just keep silence - I don't want to make trouble in fron of my kids. She doesn't know my job, She doesn't know I can't sleep yesterday, she doesn't know my kids are special. And I went to buy stuffs, not judging my life. I don't know why she was so mean to me, and not sure she will be polite to other custumers. read more

It's typical Asian supermarket, not as clean. The aisles are small and other shoppers keep on bumping their carts to ours. Perhaps it's cultural, no courtesy or apology. So, one would just need to understand. They do have pretty good selections of items. They also have ready to eat food which taste so so. read more

They have an efficient cashier system (FYI, for mobile payment app uses as of today, tap for payment has to be done twice, unique to this place), stylish bakery, and a mini food/deli cafe indoors. Grocery selections are great and many items are health conscious. Yes the good old Korean Dduk-bokke and Soon Daes are all here. Prices are decent and there is a free outdoor parking lot. I highly recommend this place! read more

Today, December 24, 2017 I try to buy trout for price $3.98. On the receipt I found price $5.98. At the same time instead of pounds (lb) there was "Total 3.34 items". Later I check it was 3.34lb. When I ask why they charge me $5.98 for lb cashier sent me to their host who recalculated, but instead of 3.34lb she charge me for "Total 4.37 items" or 4.37lb So be careful there worked TRIKSTERS and SWINDLERS. read more

Overall, this H Mart is A-Ok. It isn't as large as the ones in Lynnwood or Federal Way, but it is nice to have an alternative to Uwajimaya. The store itself it pretty cramped, as is the parking lot outside. However, the produce section is decent, and they have prepared food for you to take to go (or eat in their little seating area). You can get all of your thinly slicked meat for hotpots here, but the seafood section is pretty small. read more

I like this H Mart and I will stop it every time when I drive to Seattle. The beef and seafood is pretty good. I give a 4 stars because this store is too small and crowd. The Hmart in Beaverton, OR is much larger. read more

It's a smaller H Mart in comparison to the other ones in the further suburbs. I loved this new addition to the neighborhood! I go there for lunch to grab something that's premade and bring it back to my office. This one has one food place, and it can't be considered a food court since there's only one vendor. But I liked their premade food! I'd go there everyday if I could. They have most of the groceries I need so I can't complain much, the space between each isle is tighter, parking can get tough so I suggest going on off hours. They also gave free trays during their first week of grand opening when you spent $15 or more. read more

small selection with big price. food section is very limited and over priced. Taking account in good location in Bellevue DT, I would understand some price difference but it is beyond that point. Place is always dirty, and stinks. read more

Wish I could give a zero rate. We went to the one in Lynnwood as the Bellevue store had only limited items. While we were at Lynnwood store, we got a box of Korean potatoes. It took them about 20 minutes to bring a box from the backroom. We discovered 80% of the potatoes were the size of eggs or smaller. They just put some big ones on the top and sold a box with the ones they couldn't sell. Bellevue store wouldn't exchange the items purchased from Lynnwood although they share the same name. Bellevue store, again, didn't have Korean grapes, and we had to go to Federal Way store today. We got three bags of peanuts along with a box of Korean grapes that Bellevue store didn't have. Then we found a bunch of vermin and little worms inside the sealed bags, all three bags. We didn't want to go back to Federal Way, but Bellevue store again would not exchange or refund the items. We never had any issues with QFC or any other American brand stores as we do with Korean stores. Why do they share the same name if they don't act like one? This is the big difference between the developed country and the third world. Customers' convenience means NOTHING to these people from the third world. What a shame! read more

This store carries mainly Korean food. I would like to see a different variety of Asian food items not only Korean but Chinese, Japanese, and Southeast Asians. I am pretty sure Korean ex-pats feels the store like their home grocery store, but if you want to try a variety of Asian food, Uwajimaya has much better selection. The besides, the parking lots are so narrow that it nightmares. read more

This is not the only time I've ever been to a H-Mart I've been to the one out in Denver and I have to say this one is so much nicer and has so much to offer as well. Came here with my family on vacation and the local couple that we were staying with decided to take us here and I have to say OMG I was so happy. I really didn't expect to see a nice little ramen shop here as well and got myself a nice hot bowl of spicy miso ramen. I will come back here once again when ever I'm in town. read more

I really like this Korean/ Asian grocery store in Bellevue. They carry authentic Korean foods. Their little food court has Korean street foods. They also have a great variety of alcoholic beverages: some are authentic rice wines and Soju, of course! Cahsiers are always kind and I just loved looking around this grocery store! One star minus for a store layout. I wish it was a bit bigger. read more

I've never been to other H marts so I don't have anything to compare to. Prices here are better than Uwajimaya. But the downside is that the freshness of the veggies suffer. I've seen some pretty old looking vegetables and it made me wonder about the meat. It's a small store. I was expecting more deli food but I went at 7:30pm and they seemed to be all out. The pastry shop here is really good! I think for future purchases I will go to Uwajimaya's. Unless I crave a sweet pastry. read more

As the Duchess, I think I know quite a bit about this place especially since I work downtown and buy from them at least three times a week. They have a credit card minimum despite the fact that Visa and Master Card do not allow that. I can't believe they've gotten away with that for nearly a year when it is against the rules. The preprepared food is pretty good, but expensive. The bread tastes great, but both times I've bought it, the sliced bread was moldy on the inside!
