Amazing doesn't even begin to describe Hugh! At 4:00pm on a Friday A forklift was driven into our commercial roll up door. I was panicking thinking I wouldn't be able to get it closed and we would have to figure out what to do through the weekend with a 1/2 open warehouse door that won't close. I called and messaged multiple people. Hugh reached out right away and asked for pictures. He showed up 30 mins later and performed some sort of magic. Made it look like nothing had even happened to the door. And his price was very very reasonable for last minute on a Friday!! I can't thank him enough. he truly saved our weekend!! read more

I had the pleasure of having Mr. Daniels repair my garage door. He and his son quickly analyzed the problem and immediately went to work fixing the door. They worked in tandem like the professionals they are. He's from the old school: he knows his trade, only repairs what needs to be repaired, and takes pride in his work. His rates are VERY fair. I would recommend Mr. Daniels without reservation read more

I had an unreliable electric gate at the entry of the driveway as well as a nonfunctional garage door opener at the house. I messaged Hugh the week before the new year and he replied that while they were on a short holiday break, he could schedule me first week of the year. I was worried that I wouldn't be able to find someone who could do both gates and garages but Hugh said that wouldn't be a problem. True to his word, he scheduled a date/time that worked and did a fantastic job fixing both. Since I couldn't be there at the time of the repairs, he sent me photos of how to disconnect the gate in case of being snowed in, and showed me how to override the garage opener if there was a power outage. The price was reasonable and he was so polite and easy to communicate with! 5 star service! read more

Hugh came out and serviced a box truck roll up door of ours when we had trouble finding other company's that could. He was responsive, diligent, and had fair upfront pricing. We plan to use them again for our other vehicles. read more

Hugh and his son Joe came to my house to fix my opener. After a lengthy inspection they decided to install a new receiver on my opener. They felt that this would solve my problem of the remote not working the motor. They felt that this would save me money rather than installing a new opener or reader board. The part was ordered and Daniels installed the new receiver , tested it and by the next day it stopped working. I called them and they came back out within 30 minutes and extended the receiver antenna, voila, it works like a champ now! They are efficient and honest and did not oversell me, keeping the cost down! Do yourself a favor and use Daniels for all of your garage needs. read more

I can't thank Hugh enough for coming to my rescue today. As a part time mountain dweller, scheduling an appointment was challenging, due to my unpredictable availability. After several years, my garage door opener refused to open. Hugh was able to guide me through the process over the phone and I couldn't be more grateful. He responded immediately to my voicemail and was extremely professional and personable. I look forward to meeting him in person soon for a scheduled maintenance check, to ensure no other problems exist. And he didn't even charge for his kind phone service. It doesn't get any better than that. read more

Sent out a request around 5:30 AM, Hugh responded right away. I sent pictures of the damage to my garage. He gave a quote, dude is upfront no BS. He came after his first service call, took him around 30-40 minutes and Boom! Done! Even fixed what the builder of my house screwed up on. My go to from now on. Thank so much Hugh! read more

Hue did an awesome job recently on installing my new garage door opener. Not only did he not pressure me into any up sales, but explained everything very clearly & gave me options which I like. Hue serviced my existing door which I kept, and installed my new LiftMaster in under 2 hours. I've never imagined my garage to ever be this quite. I love that it's on battery backup, I can control it via wifi from anywhere, I've even set up a schedule for it to close every night in case I forget to close it. Thanks Hue read more

My door was repaired by speedy service in the area previously due to the door being off the track the garage guy/service who repaired it did it wrong over charged me by a ton & in less than 30 days it was broke again and Hubert came out, fixed all the mess that was previously done & when it needed to have a Minor adjustment when I go home late from work quess who was there at my house before I got home?!?! Highly recommend Hugh's work & service not many times in today's world do you run across an honest small business man here to help you vs over charge you during a time of need! read more

I called this company for a 2nd opinion, and so glad that I did. I received a quote from another local company that suggested a new garage door motor for a cost of $450. Hubert was out for an inspection, quote, and finished the job all within a couple of hours of my initial call. Final bill was a repair at 1/4 of the cost from the first quote. It pays to shop around. I definitely recommend this local company to anyone that needs quick service and great communication all for a great price! Great job read more

Quite simply an outstanding company. This was my second experience with them and both have been excellent. Our garage door wouldn't open after the recent power outage. Hugh came, right on time, did a complimentary service including replacing the weather stripping which had been chewed by mice, and fixed the electrical problem. I just wish all service companies operated as well as this one. Total confidence in their work which quite honestly was beyond the call of duty. Anyone considering repairs to their existing door or indeed a new one should contact HJ Daniels you won't regret it. read more

We had a semi-unique situation. We have two two-car garages on either side of the house (both doors visible from the curb.) The one door had been giving us problems, and we thought it would need replacing. Due to the age and the Midwest manufacturer of the door, we were unable to find a local company that could match the other door. Several businesses suggested replacing both doors, obviously expensive. No business I contacted (which all had numerous 5-star reviews) said they could repair the door. When we contacted the manufacturer's rep in SoCal, they suggested H.J. Daniels. I still figured we would have to replace the door, but at least it would match. I spoke with Huge and at his request sent photos of the door and the damage. He said he could repair the door at a reasonable cost. For $225, I have a functioning door without two costly replacements. I so appreciate his honesty. I was prepared to buy a new door. He talked me out of it. He has my 5-star review and my future business for garage door repair or replacement. read more

Huge installed a new garage door opener for us today without any problems. I told him our major concern was how the door shook and the loud noise it made while opening and closing. Huge installed new rollers and hinges and readjusted the hinges. He also lubricated all the parts. It opens and closes so easily and quiet now. We are very happy with the job and would highly recommend him. read more
