Finally a Nice HEB here in Round Rock! Ample parking! Huge produce department that offers many choices of Organic food along with the regular brands! On the same aisle! No special hidden aisle for organic, gluten free, or healthy options. Huge area for Fresh produce that doesn't look like the truck backed over it! Great selection of meats! All fresh! Huge selection of cheeses, beer and wines! Always food samples going on, that actually looks okay and taste great! No out of date hot dogs dipped in funky sauces that is forced in your face! Can always find a friendly and knowledgeable employees in their sections, should you need assistance. Sushi taste great and is affordable! Tons of open check out stand, with little to no lines! Offers a dry cleaners, salon, at the front of the store that will seriously cut down on my weekly errands and are affordable! The best part about this new HEB is, THE DAMN STORE LAYOUT ACTUALLY MAKES SOME DAMN SENSE! After the past 3 years of living in this area and the only choices for grocery stores were Walmart or 79/ Palm Valley's ghetto ass HEB, this new location is a God Send! Go ahead. I dare you. Go try and shop at the old 79 HEB, and tell me if that damn store makes any damn sense!? Dairy section in the middle of the store next to clothing, and on the other side is Lawn and Garden. In order to shop there, I would have to crisscross several times all over the store in order to get my family's basic groceries. Small aisles that 2 buggys can't pass. Stupid huge kiosks that harass you on the way in and out of the store trying to sell you cheap cell phone accessories, and whatnot. No matter what time or how busy it is when I go to the new University Dr. HEB, I still can get what I need and be in and out with no stress. It's graceful really. Like ballet with a grocery buggy. And not the busted up buggy with a dirty diaper left in it and that goes left when you are trying to turn right! I really don't understand the other reviews on my Heavenly new HEB over some rack of shirts being the reason to lower their reviews. Really people? Sometimes you're frantic, in a hurry or just not feeling 100% and not realizing that your cell phone may have gotten stuck in the basket or you crazily accuse anyone of just stealing it...that happened to me yesterday and the manager in charge Stephanie was there to save the day. Dawn on the cooking Connection Booth is always creating stuff and pairing them with great drinks. I am a long time HEB fan - and I like this one a bunch! They have really done a great job with this selection! The store is huge. Pros: I used to have to go to a specialty store for certain items - I still do for some but they have really improved their offerings with this store! For example, they have a whole isle dedicated to gluten free and vegan items! They have items like Banyan Tofu, Daiya and Veganaise. It's very convenient too that there is an expanded area of 'gifty' items in this store. For example -You can pick up a pretty scarf or sparkly tote bag and gift wrap while your in there. The fish counter is nice too - tried both cod and salmon and both were very fresh. We got sushi a few times recently as well and we were quite pleased. Generally my few interactions with staff have been positive. The checkers seem like a happy lot. People have been very friendly and helpful when asking to help find things. The parking lot is massive! I was totally put off by the opening week crowds - not a parking space to be found. Thankfully that was short lived! The only con: The lady at the back of the store who is cooking and talking over an amp - she is seriously annoying. She acts like a bad cliche game show host. She calls out to people as they walk by and is very pushy when offering food to children (and adults) loudly. I cringe each time I walk by hoping she wont talk to me. I have heard parents tell her no several times as she doggedly continued to push her sample (again over a loud speaker). There are those who seek out samples and those who seek to avoid them she really need not desperately call on passers by! Over all it is a great store. I love that it is a TX owned company too. That is great for the economy. I just try hard not to make eye contact with the pushy chick at the back of the store and it's all good. read more

Used to love Curbside but this location has gone downhill the last few months, forgetting at minimum of 2 up to 7 items per trip. It's gotten so bad I have attempt to get out and check each item (which is nearly impossible with a large order) otherwise I have to call, explain, listen to their excuses and go all the way back and get them. This location used to be open until 1am but now they decided to close at midnight. But guess what, corporate? Your Yelp hours still say you are open until 1am because I just looked!! What a joke! I will post a pic of this so they can't change it after reading this review and try to deny it. 2 idiot cashiers tried to argue and claim they were NEVER open until 1am. Yes, you were. A manager came over and confirmed that yes, they used to be open until 1am. Just go to your local 24 hour Walmart. That is what I will do from now on. HEB has the monopoly in this area and therefore they feel entitled to close early and damn the customer's needs. If we had Kroger, Publix, Albertsons, Trader Joes and more choices, they might decide to cater to the customer a little more. read more

I love the way this HEB is set up, I really feel like they put a lot of thought into the layout & flow of the store. It isn't too big & I love that I don't have to trek across the entire store to get from the produce to bulk foods section. Everything is labeled really well, it makes it so much easier to find the natural & organic products. This new style of HEBs is great, bigger isn't always better! The other night I forgot one of my bags & an employee chased me all the way to my car & insisted on helping me put everything away. The cashiers are so friendly & helpful, they act like they actually like their job! I wish they had the electronic scales, it's a bit annoying to have to do math to figure out how much your bag of apples is gonna cost, but other than that this HEB is definitely my favorite. read more

Need cheese? They have 97 kinds. Need wine? Why not join them in a tasting. Need a gift? They've got plenty of unique items to choose from. Don't like skin on your salmon? This is really more of 3.5 stars, but I'll round up since I like grocery shopping, and I like HEB. This is a huge, brand new location in the now unrecognizable Massive University IKEA Shopping Center right off I-35. I'm so hipster, I remember when there was only an IKEA out here! This is probably the biggest HEB I've been to, and while I didn't need to or have time to go around the entire store, I mostly liked what I saw. Very open and wide aisles (hooray!), great meat selection (hooray!), and a surprisingly large selection of beer/wine (hip hip hooray!!). I feel like HEB is trying to get a little more crafty with their selection of craft beers, and, here in Austin, that is an excellent choice. I was able to find a lot of different ciders, along with some really neat Belgian fruity beer (which is exactly what I was looking for!). We even had a nice employee come by and chat with us on what ciders he recommended, and which ones to avoid. Awesome! So why not a 5 star experience? I feel like this store is trying too hard to be like a Walmart...there was a very awkward clothing section in the middle of the store, by the miles of cash registers. Nothing high quality what soever. And then there was a small, random, interior decor section by the exit (???). Maybe I'm just part of a small crowd here, but I like going to HEB because it's nothing like Walmart's idea of "you can buy anything and everything cheap here, and our customer service doesn't exist." Just stick with what you're good at HEB - great food, great selections, great prices, great service. I don't want to see you turn into a madhouse of crazy, because you're trying to squeeze out a few more dollars. Let Walmart keep on doing that. read more

Ordered curbside pickup. Was charged $29 dollars for a $12.27 for a brisket. Horrible experience for this well trusted establishment.

This is my favourite store, however, this is my big bear and its consistent in that there's never the bread I want, on 79 they have allocated several shelves to this bread but here just 1 and there's never any on it, I suspect most people grab several at a time as I do on the rare occasion there's any there!! C'mon it's clearly popular so make more room for more.... It is NOT cool to go to the store for your food shopping and see lap dogs riding around in the carts infact it is GROSS!! I guess y'all wouldnt mind me bringing in my 100lb pit huh? Get this sorted HEB... I get service dogs are allowed but the others is quite disgusting!! read more

This HEB is HUGE. But does that make it better? I'm not so sure. When I first went in to this HEB it was about two months old. There were a lot of groups of 'suits with clipboards' walking around - HEB corporate I'm guessing... checking things out. Back then, I would've given this store a four star rating. Unfortunately, my experience this week on Wednesday was a two star experience. 1. The seafood counter's seafood didn't look great. I passed. Part of the reason I went to this store was because I thought the meat and seafood counters would be better than my usual HEB, (and because I was visiting my Mom's house, so I was close). But no, and then...... 2. While I appreciate the notion that they were actually cleaning, the fact that they had completely dismantled their Organic chicken section, leaving me to the regular chicken section kinda sucked. I wasn't able to get my usual whole chicken. Instead, I had to get a non-organic whole chicken, all of which were "on sale" - meaning they expired the NEXT DAY. 3. The disappointment of selection continued - nothing new or looking any better than any other HEB in the produce section or the floral section. Tsk...... 4. The reason I don't like a huge store, (and this wasn't just Wednesday's visit, but this would've been a kicker on my last experience as well) is that they don't necessarily have more stuff, (to my knowledge) it just takes longer to get to wherever you're going. My usual store, on 1431 is pretty compact. And sure, that leads to a pretty packed store if you don't have the leisure of going in the middle of the day on say...Wednesday..but I can get in and out in 30-45 minutes now. Whereas this store it takes me over an hour. Now sure, I'm not used to where everything is exactly, but I know from reading the signs on the ceiling what's going to be in an HEB aisle. 5. The layout of the parking lot and entrance/exit for this store is a little perplexing as well. They have the fruit/veggies entrance where I think most people like to come in. But when you check out, the easiest exit is near the pharmacy - the fruit/veggies exit is kind of masked by the floral section and around a corner. The natural flow of the exit doesn't let you choose. Therefore, when you exit by the pharmacy, you're walking along the main thoroughfare in front of the store for a bit. I'm not a fan. So yah, I was kind of unimpressed. I thought this was supposed to be the big new fancy schmancy store with all the bells and whistles. And I guess it was, while corporate was visiting. But now, the produce, seafood, flowers, etc. etc. are all just the same as any other HEB. At least now I know. read more

I came into town to surprise my parents. When I got to the house they were not there. They were out Christmas shopping. I was starving and needed to kill sometime so I thought I would wander the grocery. I had to go to the new fancy store in town. As I was thinking about what I wanted I was having a hankering for sushi. I first walked through all the prepared foods to see if there was anything else that might satisfy my appetite but I really wanted sushi. When I walked in the store everything seemed clean and in order. I picked up 2 different types of sushi and grabbed myself a sparking flavored water. They store wasn't too busy for a Friday evening. I was able to get in and out. I got home and enjoyed my sushi. It was fresh and yummy. The sushi stations at the HEB are pretty consistent. I've never had any problems and have always been pretty happy. It's a good go to for a quick fix, inexpensive way for sushi. read more

This is my new HEB and it's super nice!! It's not quite and HEB plus but it is pretty close to it. It has a large produce section (not as nice as the one as Parmer and I35) mainly because the fruit selection isn't as nice but I can deal with it. The meat dept is really nice and there is a cooking connection there to help the ones who don't know how to prepare a meal. The bakery is top notch makes all sorts of goodies!!there is a huge section of healthy living so you will definitely be able to get your health foods there. The wine selection is quite large as well. They have a cafe on the run and a deli that makes sandwiches for people who want a meal on the go. Haven't tried it yet but when I do I'll update the review. Overall the whole store is really nice and clean, it's well kept and there are plenty of people there to help out. They have lots of parking to and the shopping center is a nice place with lots of food options as well. read more

I eat a lot of fresh fruit. It was very sad observing a produce worker jamming the bananas into the row. I remarked to him "Now I know how my fruit gets bruised". He said; "I am sorry". It's brand new! I love the location and the store layout. I think this one will work well. I am glad there is another on on my commute between work and home. It's your typical store plus a beer tap. This seems to be the flagship H-E-B for the round rock grocery locations. They have a large café that also serves draft beers and fills growlers to go. I haven't had a draft beer while shopping yet, but it might be tempting sometime. The produce section is well organized and has great stock compared to other stores in the Austin area. I really like to come here for the bakery and cheese selection. They have a great cheese selection that is larger than most H-E-B stores and you're lucky to make it through the store without leaving with some interesting beers or wines. Their selection is outstanding. This store is really easy to shop in due to the layout And they seem to make sure that no checkout line ever gets long enough to go into the aisles. read more

This Heb is My Heb! We Really needed this store in our area, I remember when it was just a field with trees wishing there was a store close by so we didn't have to drive all the way to Heb plus! I was so excited seeing this store built so close to home! I love this store, every time we go in a lot of the people know us from when they first opened when I was pregnant, and treat us like family. Like we went last night to pick up diapers for our Baby and we were asked how our baby was doing since they hadn't seen us in a while as we have been busy with life.Plus I love the Bakery here and the have beautiful cakes and homemade breads.Also we are always asked if we need help finding anything which really helps when I go by myself because I'm so short and I need help sometimes reaching stuff! Also anytime I go to help desk they are always so nice and helpful and talk to you and are just very welcoming.And they also have an Area where they have beer on Tap if you like beer while shopping.And Starbucks is close by if you like to pick up a coffee before shopping like me! And even Jamba Juice. And also if you are hungry before hand you can always go have lunch at averts or Pei Wei or Z pizza! So you don't go grocery shopping hangry! Haha. My Heb! I find myself sacking my own groceries every Friday. Where are the sackers? Usually most cashiers say thank you after helping them out, but this Friday a checker named Sarah C was under the impression that I was getting paid for doing the job. She threw an eyebrow pencil my direction as I was sacking the groceries at the end of the conveyor belt. I let out a yell and she said Oh, she wasn't trying to hit me just trying to keep the eyebrow pencil from getting stuck in the belt. She gave no apology or thank you for bagging my own groceries. I am thinking about switching to Wal Mart to do my grocery shopping atleast expectations there is for the cashier to sack your groceries or do your own. read more

Love this heb as it always has everything I need. I prefer to go to this heb instead of the one across the street from me. People are always nice and helpful. A lady in the beauty section helped me figure out the perfect make up for me. She did say she did not want to recommend a newer product (she didn't have an experience/feedback with that new product) so she gave me a card to try it out for free. Turns out it was a great product and I appreciate her taking the time to help multiple ways. Also the pizza at south flo is awesome!! read more

This review is for the girls working in the deli on Monday 10-9-17 around 8 pm. I was greeted by all of them first off. I got my lunch meats & as I was about to walk off to finish my shopping my newborn started crying. I took him out to feed him & sat on the little foot prop thing in front of the cheeses to the left of the deli area. I'm not sure if they picked up on the looks I was receiving from others appalled I would do such a thing (covered at that), but one of the girls brought me one of their stools so I didn't have to feed my son on the ground. It may seem like a small thing, but it meant a lot to a new mom. read more
