I have been going to the HEB in Pflugerville for a long time . God blessed me with a great memory; I remember all the prices of all the items I pick up , so 9 out of 10 times I go to this store , I get over charged, either the price on the computer don't match the price on the shelves, or the cashiers are so lazy to look up the code for produce, so they end up entering the wrong code , or they are poorly trained, they rang tomatoes as peaches , or potatoes as papayas ! Also, the coupons which they provide at the store sometimes don't work ,or they are falsely advertised. So, I have to wait extra time to get my money back . It's so frustrating ! Also some of the employees at the customer service are so rude , and some of the shift leaders are so lazy to help. NEXT TIME YOU GO THERE, CHECK YOUR RECEIPT FOR MISTAKES AND OVERCHRGES. I discussed this issue with the management so many times but it is still happening !!! read more

Quality of service is ok. This is a high traffic grocery store at times. The parking lot tends to need cleaning as the day goes by, carts are fairly policed within the parking lot and moved inside, frequent food sampling kiosk with servers that wear serving gloves throughout the store, ok produce but can be pricey at times, full service bakery that specializes made-to-order cakes, customer service area well run with various services it provides, staff is helpful and friendly, family friendly environment with money bucks rewards for the kids, an A and B Redbox kiosk for movie goers, also has a gas station at this location. read more

I'm sure you've heard people say "MY" HEB, like it is their own personal store....well this HEB location is "MY" HEB. It's the closest to my house, and I am pretty much here a couple times every week. So, what's great about this HEB, besides its location? They have a gas station (although there's usually a few pumps not in service), the employees are generally cheerful and willing to help you out (if you ask), there's a Chase bank branch inside that is open late (if you still bank at big banks), they have a pretty large selection of all types of groceries (including a nice bulk/healthy isle), the checkout lines are usually quick-moving, and the prices/coupons/deals that you can find are definitely the best in town. Like Nicki said, it's not the place to go if you want organic produce - that's always a hit or miss here. I'm a fan of organic foods, but not if it looks like they've been on the shelf a while. You'll just have to be quite picky and careful. It's hard to get super excited about a grocery store that isn't Trader Joe's or Whole Foods, but for the regular, run-of-the-mill groceries that you need, this HEB is perfect. read more

This is my HEB. Despite getting ridiculously busy in the evenings and weekends, the store handles the traffic fairly well. The aisles are spacious, and they have several checkout lanes. I've purchased balloons and flowers from this store, and the staff was helpful and friendly, going above and beyond what I expected. The butcher and deli are good, too. When looking at items in the case, an employee will ask if I need assistance, instead of me having to get their attention. I almost always bag my groceries, unless a bagger is already there and taking care of it. When there is a bagger, they always ask if I need help to my car. They have a nice selection of beers and wines. I especially like that they offer Texas wines. Fresh produce. Fresh sushi and tortillas, made right there. I do wish they carried more organic items, but it seems like that's been improving over the past year. The only problem I have with the store isn't the store's fault at all. It's some of the customers. It doesn't happen often, but I've been cart-bumped while waiting in line at the checkout. I just lean back into the person's cart though, and that surprises them enough so that they stop and pull their cart back to a more comfortable and courteous distance. Generally most cashiers are great at this HEB, but just now Damien H. was much more interested being on his cell phone rather than engaging with me, the customer. He barely acknowledged I was there, and while I counted my money he decided that was a good time to check his texts. I then had to get his attention to take payment. His customer service is highly lacking. read more

Dont bother going to this particular HEB. They do not stand by their HEB coupon policy. I even pulled up their heb.com coupon policy on their website and they acted as if their website did not exist. H-E-B coupon policy based on their website it says that you are allowed to use a yellow coupon on top of the manufacturing coupon as long as it's on the same item. I've never had this problem before until now. So save yourself the two hours of shopping in this Pflugerville HEB and go to the HEB Plus that they built out on in Hutto or go to the H-E-B Plus on Parmer Lane. read more

They were out of chili meat when I was in the store one night right before closing. I told him I would be by in the morning to pick some up. We shop here because it's the closest HEB to our home and Pflugerville Walmart sucks (for lack of a better term) for grocery shopping. This HEB has been recently remodeled, so it looks a lot nicer. The problem is that they are ALWAYS out of stock on, in my opinion, too many items. The employees are all friendly and the store looks clean, but the stock issue is ridiculous. Another ongoing issue is the freshness of certain items. I have literally found moldy strawberries for sale on multiple occasions. They don't always rotate properly and occasionally, I have found expired products on their shelves. If you shop here, check your dates!! The bagged salads usually don't look that fresh either (wilted and brown edges). We have actually purchased rotten fat free half &half on 3 seperate occasions in a row here. The dates were good on those, but they curdled in coffee the day after they were purchased. I won't buy the HEB brand FF half & half now. Also, when the deli has items on sale or special, there's a 50%chance that they did not adjust the prices on the scale and they will charge you full price if you don't notice. For covenience to my home, this is, bar none, the best HEB. Unfortunately, they have several issue to work out before they would be worthy of anything more than 3 stars. read more

So this is what a trip to this HEB could potentially look like. I say 'potentially' because while all these things HAVE happened at one time or another I rarely see more than 3-4 of these issues per visit. Having said that I DO expect to one day experience a 'mother of all battles' trip to this location that will include all of this...so let's begin. On my way in I see your classic little old lady unloading her groceries. She no longer needs her cart...and I need a cart. I offer to take it off her hands. She hesitates momentarily...struggling to come up with the means of describing the cart's condition that would remain true to her dainty appearance... and settles on 'bird droppings'. I off course offer to take the cart anyways. When I get up to the store I have to dig through 4-5 carts that have bird $%#@ all over them before I can find one suitable to use. The produce section is first. I should mention at this point that our local HEB is a bit on the small side...so some of these issues are not entirely their fault...except when it comes to them doing a lot of easily avoided things that make things worse. I should also mention that I believe the individual employees are very likely doing the best that they can. When things fail on this level I attribute that to poor management. The produce section is my first encounter with the store's general 'we could run this place much better if it wasn't for all these pesky customers!' vibe. While I realize that stocking has to occur at some time I routinely encounter employees that ignore customer attempts to shop around them. I patiently waited for 2-3 minutes once about a foot from an employee that had to have seen me before finally asking him if I could have ten seconds of his time and space so I could get some cilantro and be on my way. I don't wait that long anymore. When I go in there now I act more like I'm a child reenacting Lord of the Flies... Next up is the seafood counter. Well maybe....if it's in the afternoon the counter may actually be open. Mid-morning? About a 50/50 chance lately. Maybe I'll just buy my fish somewhere else.I know....I know...first world problems... Meat and cheese is next. Or what I call 'the rapids'. By far the worst section of the store. Customers congregate here and the situation is made worse by the completely unattended stocking carts you normally find here. Luckily today they ARE attended so I don't have to push them out of the way myself. Strange that they have two employees working TWO huge carts in the same small area though. Wouldn't it help with traffic if they both worked one cart at a time? Through the rapids...breakfast sausage is to my right. I used to eat these...until twice getting home with packages there were multiple months out of date and full of mold. This despite making a habit of bringing this issue to managements attention. I guess this stuff isn't a very fast mover...maybe I shouldn't be eating it either? How about some low sodium lunch meat...whoops...sold out. I need some chips but the aisle is full of vendors and looks impassable. Maybe next time. Need some bread....whoops...maybe next time...also jam packed with vendors that seem to bring their entire inventory out on the sales floor all at once. I dodge an employee with a floor jack. Odd...twenty five years ago when I worked at a grocery store we weren't allowed to bring full pallets out on the the floor during business hours. Progress! What a wonderful future we live in! Almost done....heading towards the front. I almost collide with other customers that like me are dodging random carts full of junk like signage etc. I need a liquid soap refill for the kitchen. There seems to be overstock space available on the top shelf but it must have been easier to just put the excess on the floor...effectively turning a two lane aisle into a single one. Frozen food....I'm now buying the no sugar added popsicles that I'll use to satisfy my sweet tooth later. Little do I know now that they will have this freezer burned taste that is most commonly associated with them not being kept at proper temperatures at some point in their lifespan. Time to pay. Three deep at every line. Including the self check out. I see some employees milling around...maybe they'll open something...not yet...the store manager walks by...I ask her if they intend to open any more registers...I'm not proud of how how curt I am with her but in my defense this store seems to want a become a Omaha Beach theme park for some reason and I'm more than a bit cranky...she snaps back at me and an argument ensues. I pay...leave...and walk to my car. There are no birds circling at least...and I'm able to get into my car 'droppings' free. So why do I still feel a bit %$#$ on? read more

I noticed all heb are different pricing. I like this heb because it's close to my home and it has great deals most of the time. Cheaper than the one on Parmer that's for sure and more check out lanes with fast cashiers! The heb gas price is not overly priced compared to other gas stations. read more

I shop here weekly, almost everyone is super friendly, in particular Chameka at the deli counter. She is the most helpful and friendliest person I've encountered here. I don't know if this goes for all HEB's, but the sushi at this one is seriously next level. Growing up in the midwest with Hy Vee you learn not to go near grocery store sushi (if you can call it that), but this HEB sushi is different. It's by far the freshest tasting pre-made sushi I've ever had, and some of their rolls could compete with mid-range sushi restaurants! My favorite is spicy tuna but it's sold out a lot so their nigiri and San Antonio roll are my backups. If you go around lunchtime they even have poke bowls! I mean, yeah, the parking lot is always crowded and the closing of that walkway between the deli and bakery makes it less convenient than before the renovation (they put take and bake pizza there but don't buy it, it's always a mistake), but I really don't know what I would do without that sushi stand. love HEB, but I was getting ready to find another store until I went back to Pflugerville. The Techridge store is a mess.

I enjoy this HEB. Has the products I'm looking for, checkers and baggers are professional and friendly. If I have questions I can get answers. Great products in all departments; the deli, bakery, meat market, and seafood have great options for meals. The layout of the store changed after the remodel, so I still have to ask where some items are located. The new restrooms, I love them. They look better than the metal stalls they store once had. If I need help, I just ask an HEB partner, they usually go beyond good customer service. And about the coupon code policy for couponers like me, you can piggyback a coupon, but no stacking. I love MY heb. It's always clean and the cashiers are always nice. It's usually well stocked although occasionally they're out of a few of my favorite items but no big deal. Shit happens right. Do not go to this store to try and get your state inspection sticker! I tried in November and showed the, now I know incompetent employees, my paperwork that I passed the state inspection. Those idiots told me I didn't and I had passed an emissions test and they would not give me my inspection sticker. In December I had work done on the car and it won't pass because of not ready errors. Now it's January and my original dealer tells me it passed in November and I explained the HEB situation. The dealer has to re-inspect to clear the failed errors in the system and i now I must go to the DMV for the sticker. Thanks HEB 685 for wasting my three plus waiting hours and $18.50 times 4, for this long process. read more

HEB has always been my favorite grocery store I have always had great experiences with the staff and the customer service they gave me. I spent a lot of years in customer service management and in my opinion it was always best to give the customer the benefit of the doubt even if it meant losing a few dollars in the process. That being said I left my cigarettes and the receipt at the register when I left HEB tonight. I got all the way home after a long 12 hour day at work and called to see if my items were still at the register a self important manager named Sarah happened to answer my call and said that they couldn't find them but I could bring my receipt and have the item replaced. I didn't have my receipt, but decided to head on up there to see if I could find them. I couldn't find them and asked her to pull the transaction from her system she said that she was unable to do this and there was nothing that she could do to assist me. Maybe Im wrong, but maybe Sarah wasn't the best hire for a Customer Service position HEB. Hmmm I wonder if Sarah is a smoker and did she enjoy my smokes? Take it easy Sarah HEB does ok a $7 transaction isn't that big a deal. Especially with the power of social media! Keep Austin weird and Pflugerville pfunny!!! I shop here every week because it's the most convenient and there is a lot I like about it...but one thing that I just can't get over is if you go shopping early in the morning to avoid the crowds (8/9amish), you end up taking ridiculously long to check out since they only have 1-2 lanes open and no baggers.
