It's amazing to shop in a brand new HEB and this one is huge with a seemingly larger selection than other locations I've shopped at. It even has a BBQ restaurant finally! Everything is sparkling and spacious, and I love just seeing all the new innovations including the refrigerated drinks case near the registers. Everyone was super friendly and helpful and at the top of their game since it just opened, so I think this will be a great shopping experience for a long time.

I love love love HEB... but the quality of their rotisserie chickens at this location is continually sub-par. I do get my groceries via curbside...I'm surprised that this was allowed to be sold. It sucks when you are planning dinner around it.

Well, it took twelve years of us living in Austin to go to this institution that's only a couple…read moremiles from our house. We came, completely on a whim (like, we were driving by and just pulled in), for lunch this past Saturday and had such fabulous time. It feels like "old Austin" has frozen in time here. The place reeks of fish (ofc!) and the whole vibe is this odd-like Margaritaville-hospital cafeteria-fish market mash up. Magically, it all somehow works. We ordered at the counter and happily sat at the table with our beers taking the whole scene in. If we're being honest, the food is just OK. The fried catfish that our daughter ordered honestly tasted like it had been refrozen and it was bland. Our fresh fish--the blackened drum and the grilled trout--were excellent, though, so that made it for it in the piscine category. As for side, there were highs and there were lows. We doubt that they make the hush puppies from scratch, but damn, they were good. We were also happy with the fried okra and the spaghetti squash that they had on special. Green beans are wet and canned, and the side salad is the usual bagged kind of stuff. Actually, they had this very unique mac-n-cheese situation that was made with spaghetti(!) and had a broiled cheese lid that we were not mad at. We're not going to pretend that this was any kind of A+ "quality seafood" situation. It's not. But there is a VIBE and we were there for it and there is a massive shark that is hanging from the ceiling wearing Mardi Gras beads. C'mon! This is the Austin we know and love! We will be back--whether to buy fish or for taco night or who knows, but we will be back. Four grateful stars.

It was grilled trout topped with crabmeat. Fish was cooked perfectly. The mac and cheese was creamy and hot. The fried okra was hot and fresh. The blackened catfish was perfectly seasoned. The collards were ok. The only negative is that the wine was $7 in a tiny glass. When asked about buying a bottle we were told it was $18 plus an additional $7 corkage fee. Quality is aptly named.

We absolutely love this H-E-B. It's our favorite supermarket and we shop here all the time since we…read morelive very close by. Almost all of our groceries come from this location. The store always has a great selection of fresh products, everything is well organized, and it's easy to find what you need without wasting time. The quality is consistently good, especially the fresh food and ready-to-eat sections. The store is clean, well stocked, and the overall shopping experience is always comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful whenever we have questions. For our family, this is our main and most trusted grocery store. Highly recommend.

H-E-B is basically the grocery store in Texas, and once you shop there for a while, it kind of…read moreruins other supermarkets for you. First off, it just feels better to shop there. The stores are usually clean, well-organized, and not chaotic in that "why is this aisle always a disaster?" way you get elsewhere. The produce section is consistently solid--fresh fruit, good veggies, and a lot of Texas/local stuff depending on the season. It's one of those places where you can actually trust that what looks good... is good. The meat department is another win. Decent prices, good quality, and the staff will actually help if you need something specific instead of acting like you're bothering them. Same vibe with seafood and deli--pretty reliable across the board. One thing people always mention (and it's true) is the H-E-B store brand stuff. A lot of it is just as good as name brands, sometimes better, and cheaper. Tortillas, chips, basic pantry stuff, dairy--it all hits. Once you start grabbing their brand by default, you stop caring about the national brands pretty quickly. The ready-to-eat section is also underrated. Rotisserie chicken, hot foods, sushi in some locations, quick grab-and-go meals--it's not gourmet, but it's actually good for what it is. Super helpful when you don't feel like cooking. Prices overall are fair, especially compared to bigger national chains. You can definitely shop cheap here without feeling like you're buying low-quality stuff. Only real downside is it gets busy. Like, really busy during peak hours, and parking can be annoying at the bigger stores. Also, popular items sometimes sell out fast because everyone else already knows what's good. But honestly, that kind of just comes with how popular it is. At this point, H-E-B is less "a grocery store you go to" and more just the default place Texans expect to shop.

I normally do not review grocery stores, but I felt like this one deserved a shout out. I love H E…read moreB in general, but this particular location is hands down my favorite and, in my opinion, the best one overall. It is not the newest H E B and it is not the most updated, but honestly, that is part of what makes it so great. Even when it is crowded, you can still move around easily and get down the aisles without constantly waiting for someone to move their cart. A lot of the newer H E Bs have much smaller aisles, which can make shopping feel stressful, especially during busy times. That is never really an issue here. On top of that, the customer service is always great. The staff is friendly, helpful, and consistent every time I visit. Parking is also usually ample, so you are not circling the lot forever trying to find a spot unless it is right before a major holiday like Thanksgiving. Overall, this H E B gets it right. Great service, great products, and a store layout that actually makes grocery shopping easy and stress free. This location definitely deserves the recognition.
