So buckle up this review will be biased. I found myself in Manor this weekend and decided to stop by their shiny new HEB to see what they had to offer. I was hoping to find the HEB Brand Store mystery keychains. No luck there, but I did see last years sold out HEB Shopping cart ornament. (photo evidence attached) The store sits right off Highway 290 in a new and growing shopping center. There is plenty of parking and several electric carts available for anyone who needs mobility support. Since the store is new, everything is clean, organized, and fully stocked. The employees were warm and quick to help, especially if you are wandering around lost like me. My only real critique is that the HEB app is not quite up to date yet. That might be because the store is new or because some of the frequently purchased items have been moved to end caps instead of the aisles for the holidays. All in all, it was a pleasant shopping trip. I live too far away to make this my regular store, but it was a treat to stop by while I was in the area.

Prices are what the typical HEB prices are so no surprises there. It's B I G. Did I mention there's a True Texas BBQ right at the left entrance of the store? You can order via several kiosks and order online for pickup or just eat and then shop. Lines aren't too long either. They have multiple ways to checkout: the usual self-checkout 10 items or less, self-checkout 25 items or less, and the usual stand-in-line conveyor belt style. They sometimes have sample stations just depends which day you go (idk their schedule). Overall a very new and nice place to shop-eat-chill. I love my local HEB

The Mac and cheese was as close to the version I make at home that all love. It was very creamy and hot and fresh. I also ordered the onion rings and was surprised at how crispy there were. I had low expectations because most usually miss the mark for me. These were very good and will get them every time I return. The wait was a little long at 12:30 but very much worth it IMO. The restaurant has nice seating and several TVs to distract while waiting for your food. I need to remember not to go to the store around lunchtime because it will be hard for me to not eat here every time now.

No name-brand foods to speak of, all store brands. No "great" prices but very limited assortments. I would rather skip saving 2 bucks and go to HEB where they have the brands I enjoy and the selection I need. I didn't notice anything great about the prices. Oh, and take a quarter with you, or you'll have to carry everything in your hands.........what an antiquated and inconvenient idea. Who carries coins around any more?

While the prices here aren't always the cheapest in the area, there are some notable winners that we've come back for more than once. First off, their bread and bagels have the lowest prices in Cedar Park. One loaf of bread or a bag of 6 bagels cost $2. Randalls easily charges $2.50 per loaf or $4 for 6 bagels. Next are their wines. Now I'm not a wine snob, but I can appreciate a Peju, Oberon, or a Sequoia Grove. Though the wines at Aldi's aren't anywhere near the caliber of wines those wineries produce, I did recently find a single vineyard Malbec from Argentina for $8. It surprised me. I would get it again. They do have some name brand staples and they're priced similar to other supermarkets in the area. I would stay away from their meats though as there are better deals elsewhere. Their shopping cart system requires a quarter to unlock the chain mechanism, but you get it back when you return your cart. They also don't have bags so you must bring your own. They do have empty boxes you can use to pack your groceries back home.

It can be a little bit much at first, but when you realize the pump can reach around the other side of your car, it makes life so much easier! No more waiting in long lines to get to the pump on your side. Just pull up to any available spot reach around if you need to and get on with your day! The gas prices are ALWAYS cheaper than any station around. Even if I didn't make a single in warehouse purchase, the membership would have paid for itself within just a few tanks of gas.

I hate the fact that I always seem to have some kind of avoidable issue when I am there. It is always busy so I can understand the staff trying to move things along, but they don't even give you a chance to breathe and start scanning things whether you want them to or not and on two different occasions, I have been overcharged. Then you have to wait for a manager to come to give you your money back and then you have to stand in line and show them your multiple receipts because the accounts don't add up. The whole thing is just really frustrating. When it happened the first time I kind of rolled my eyes and said OK it happened. The second time I was like this is crazy. I had gone to self check out with nine items and promised my 11-year-old that if he came with me to Costco, he could scan the items with the little scanner gun. Before we could even scan the third item, the self checkout guy came with his own and started scanning. I politely said we were almost done, and I had told my son that he could scan. He looked at me and kept scanning and then touched the screen so fast that I couldn't even see what all had been scanned. I had no option except to cancel the transaction or pay. I paid and then when the receipt came out, I had magically been scanned for 12 items. I only had nine which you could see right there. Watch your receipts. I've had this happen twice back to back. Also, why on earth are they so slow with their pizzas? Sam's Club has it down. They have a standing oven with many hot and fresh ones where you can just grab them check out and go. At this particular Costco it looks like a mosh pit of people waiting for their number to be called. I'm not sure if I will renew my membership. I may just suck it up and pay the Instacart fees and have delivery done because the headache, hassle, time wasting, and incompetence has really become a bit out of control .

They do have. a restaurant inside so you can order yourself some tacos. The meat market has a variety of meats. Their fajita was $9.99. You think man that is expensive. However, they are a dollar cheaper than Costco. They match with H-E-B prices with the chicken going for .99 cents a pint the day I walked in here with my wife. All the staff were friendly. They primarily speak Spanish here. But I do believe they speak English as well if you need to asked for something in English. All their produce look fresh and great selection I must say. Overall spacing between the aisles were tight and the store is small compared to the rest of the Mexican Markets in the area. But don't let that detour from shopping here if need something you cannot find at the bigger stores or if you're looking for a bargain with todays highly inflated meat prices. The store has a good selection, and there were some great deals on fresh vegetables. A few other items like dal and chana were also on sale, though overall, most prices seemed to be on par with other Indian grocery stores in Austin.
