This is one of the cleanest nicest HEB I have been into. The produce is amazing and the meats and fish were fresh with a great selection. The whole store is easy to navigate and I love how clean and new the store feels. We will probably drive a little farther to shop here from now on. Service was good and there were lines at all checkouts but they moved extremely quick.

Do I recommend this business? Hell yes. They really really support local schools with money, in-kind donations and executive involvement. As the adopt-a-school coordinator for my daughter's school, I experienced this personally. I love their Organics line. I love their annual celebration of Hatch chilis and other Texas traditions and foods. When Covid hit, they were the first to provide curbside shopping. They were among the first to provide the vaccine. Their pharmacy has been so careful with my mom's meds. I'm fairly confident that they've saved her life. The quality of their food is outstanding, comparatively speaking, and Central Market is a delight. Their flowers! Long stemmed roses for $1 on Tuesdays! Most of the HEB's I've been to have been very sensitive to the needs of their specific community. For example, in an Asian area, the Asian aisles are full of new and interesting choices; in a Jewish area, they have a kosher deli. They carry a great choice of Hispanic brands, too. The wine department is super well stocked, too. I've had several conversations with the wine buyer, and he really knows his stuff. And the number one reason why I love HEB? They really pay attention to what's going on and they get ready before everyone else does. Bad weather coming? H-E-B has all the supplies. Another wave of Covid coming? HEB offered self testing kits before anyone else in Austin. My local H-E-B is one of the smallest I've seen, and yet, I rarely have to go shopping anywhere else.

Me and my family always go to a different grocery store when we are in different states because we believe that we should experience new things including grocery stores! We needed to pick up a few things like water and fruit. The fruit was super fresh. We went through self check so I can not advise you on how the service is. It was super clean and nice. Next time I am in Texas I will come back here.

Humanely raised eggs on the endcap display! You rock HEB!

This HEB stocks Grandma's Hummus! If you have not tried it, TRY IT! Austin faces a dearth of grocery store choices. But that's okay, because we have HEB. HEB hits a sweet spot between price and quality. Prices are good, quality is good, the store brand is good. Thank you, Howard E. Butt. At this location... - Produce can be iffy. - The cheese is at the deli, not in the dairy section! - There's quite a large kosher deli. - Sells bulk nuts, dried fruit, flour, spices, etc. - Recently started carrying eggs that are "Certified Humane", which are impossible to find at any mainstream grocery store. - Nice beer/wine selection. - Baked goods are mediocre. I usually hit HEB on weeknight evenings to avoid the crowds and headaches.

    Picked up some lillies tonight!

HEB is a local grocery store on a larger scale. They have their own coupon program that offers free items. This grocery story is reasonably priced while also offering some higher end foods. This is my go to spot in Central Texas!

There is 2 hour validated parking under the building so you can shop without worry. I consistently come here for the TJ brand of Greek yogurt with fat and honey flavor, and for their canned sparkling wines which I just personally find fun. The staff are always friendly, true to the TJ culture. And the little area around outside is cute and nice to get a snack or some dessert nearby.

Well, this is probably the best TJ's in the Austin area due its size and variety of healthy, eco-friendly products, so if you've not yet had the pleasure to visit, here's why you should: 1. Yes, it's in downtown at Seaholm but you get 1 hour of free, validated, protected garage parking right outside the basement doors. When you come in the garage, go forward and loop around to the left side to reach the marked TJ spaces. In 2025, you validate by entering your license plate number in the Metropolis kiosk - it's a breeze. 2. Bring an insulated bag for frozen items. TJ's has an impressive selection of high quality frozen seafood and prepared meals, appetizers, sides, and desserts that you won't find anywhere else at these prices. Lately my favorites are the assorted dumplings and other dim sum fare. Oh, and get ready for some fun on the freezer aisle, where you'll be tempted by all manner of sweet treats stored at eye level above the freezers. 3. Seasonal, limited edition items. Early summer was lemon season with lemon pasta, lemon pesto, lemon body care, lemon candles, and so on. My most recent visit, it was strawberry everything: tiny pies, mochi, dry cereal, etc. At Christmas time, my friends go wild for the kringle pastry selection. There's always something that will only be around for a few days, so you feel like you've struck gold when you get there before it's all gone. 4. Seasonings and sauces. TJ's has some of the best spice blends and prepared sauces that will punch up your home cooked meals. I am obsessed with the crunchy chili onion oil and dry crunchy chili onion sprinkle shaker, living in anxiety that they will be retired. 5. The nicest people! Everyone working seems to have a PhD in customer service. I always leave with a smile on my face after dealing with the friendly checkout counter staff person. There's even more to love - fresh flowers! awesome skincare dupes! great produce & cheese! excellent low cost wines! - but you'll need to come in & experience it for yourself. Bring your reusable bags!

I love that they have a parking garage so if it's pouring down with rain, one doesn't get drenched trying to get one's vehicle with a basket load of groceries. On the escalater, there is one side for you and the other side for your trolly of groceries. I have abandoned my neighborhood HEB and now patronize this one at 2400 S. Congress Ave.

Got a parking spot on the first row as your drive in. So nice that regardless of weather you can park and walk out to your car comfortably. Loved the murals as well. As you enter from the parking garage you can take the elevators or escalators. Well ya know I just HAD to try the conveyor that takes your shopping cart up ha they have attendants that help you place the cart on the conveyor going down and up. Such a cool little experience. Once we got to the second level it was indeed quite packed as expected, but nice and shiny brand new. We were greeted into produce by a wine tasting and then sausage sampling with a live cooking demo. Lots of sampling going on. I enjoyed the new store and can't wait to go back when it's not as busy. On the way out I stopped to check the BBQ restaurant menu. I'm coming back for the Dino Rib!!!

Contrary to another review, they usually have fresh fruit on hand; bananas in a basket and prepared fruit cups. They have a fair selection of beer, wine, soft drinks and coffees. They have sandwiches and other prepared food (e.g. giant $4 burritos) in the cooler. One time I had to ask for toilet paper and the guy brought it out from the back room. I suppose it took up too much space on the shelf. This is the alternative to Royal Blue, which has even higher prices, although Royal Blue makes some food in-house. On the whole, I prefer Second Street because Royal Blue has a weird vibe and some weird brands and this place is a regular store.

Honestly unremarkable. An independent convenience store that knows it can charge more because of where it is. The staff were friendly enough, but the stock was kind of limited. That might be due to so many people being in town that week but they seemed to run out of drinks fairly quickly. It's also no fault of the store but it's worth mentioning right in front of their doors seems to be a popular hangout for Austin's homeless. I don't think we managed a single visit here without being asked for change. If you need a quick snack they are in a great location, just don't expect an overly pleasant visit.

I picked up the ranchero bisteak and chicken Tinga and for my two sides, I decided on the plantains and nopales. Both of the meats I decided on were extremely delicious in flavor and the beef was exceptionally tender. I got red and green salsa and it appears that the red salsa is a tad bit creamy, which is not something I've had many times before. It was unique and extremely tasty. As for the green salsa, I have yet to try, but I am sure it won't disappoint. I do want to give this place praise because I have passed it up before, but it is not a place to be looked over. There's so many other goodies in here that you won't find at a regular grocery store so it's definitely worth coming inside and checking out especially if you just want something to do. The people were so nice exceptional customer service. There is seating if you want to eat inside and they were playing good music. I almost forgot to mention how exceptional the sides were.
