Poor customer service. Purchases a few jeans for my son. One of them did not work had tags attached and brand knew but when I purchased from Valley Fair they did not note that price tag was missing from Jeans. Provided receipt and all other tags attached but store manager Juan refused to take it back or used on in the store or look up the number on the jeans. Instead he wanted me to drive back to Valley Fair to return. Needless to say I'm out all the other items I was shopping for back. Item was full price and purchases 10 days ago with proof of receipt. Associates discriminate against disabled people and provides terrible customer service. Mystik, an employee in the store was extremely rude to me when I said it was a dumb that you have to order online to get the discount. Called me rude and proceeded to take it personally and act like a child. When my mother asked for clarification the employee shooed her away and refused to talk until we got the manager involved. My family and I are big H&M fans and this place is no exception. Every time I am in the great mall this place is a must stop as with the Santana Row location. There is less people here which makes the location good. Not cramped like other locations. Like every other H&M the prices are very affordable and this is a place for everyone to get some nice clothes here. I am super shocked they have clothes and even shoes in my size. Who knew. Every other location is just too bland but this one does the trick. Drawback: I could appreciate it if the employees are not so absent minded and actually act professional. Some of them are not very considerate of customers who are opting to try on clothes. Excuse me but those clothes are not yours, you don't own them just yet. read more

H&M serves a purpose in the world. These are not high-end clothes but are well styled and look good. It makes sense especially if you are one who likes new styles and new clothes on a regular basis. On the con side, the store is not well organized and you need to be ready to spend some time finding exactly what you are you looking for. I buy most of my clothes from this H&M location. I love the return policy and haven't had any issues with returning my items and getting refunds back. The employees have all been great each time I've visited. I went yesterday and the fitting rooms were open and the store wasn't too busy. I found several items that I really loved and walked out with some great purchases. H&M and F21 are where I buy most of my clothes, but I overall prefer H&M bc the prices are better and the return process is quick and easy. I'll definitely continue to come back here. read more

My go-to store when I want to Ball on a Budget. This is the best H&M in the bay area, especially for guys/men's wear. They have the best quality and bang for buck. And luckily they always have my sizes (Large & 34 regular). This store is super tidy. Every time I come here it's never a hassle to find anything. And the service quality is exceptional. I've shopped here so many times that I made friends with the staff. The best part of the store is the sale rack where you can find hidden gems. (I once got a dope-ass sweater for $4, size large and a button shirt for $6, size large). They also have the biggest Girls/Ladies selection you can find in the South Bay. I usually get my Christmas shopping done here for my family and friends (And throughout the Great Mall). Today I'm here shopping for new wedding clothes. Not my favorite H&M location but I was at this mall today and came in to browse. Store was pretty clean and everyone was keeping a Covid distance including the check-out area. The issue I had here was one employee cleaned their card reader after each customer and the other employee didnt. While I was being helped by the guy who didn't clean his station he was texting on his phone the whole time, phone right there for all to see. Kept looking at it pretty much our entire transaction. When I was going to leave he hands me my receipt and bag without looking at me or saying thank you, kept talking to someone else behind the counter. I get it's retail, can't expect much but do expect at least a thank you and some acknowledgement. I'll make sure to go my my usual location from now on. read more

STORE: Yes this store is big with messy customers and not enough staff to keep up with organizing and go backs from what people try on. STAFF: I must've gotten lucky because the guy putting go backs back was super nice to me and asked his manager and found me again to let me know what she said. The cashier I got was nice too! She was cheery. ITEMS: like someone else said the clothes are like a step up from Forever 21. They obviously get their clothes in bulk made from a factory overseas, which is why they're able to keep prices fairly low. I do find stuff I like here as far as styles, colors, and prices. Prices aren't super cheap but they also aren't expensive. I'd say in the middle to low range. Anything I've bought here or for my significant other has held up and looks good and not cheap. Able to pair it with other clothing for a classy look. OVERALL: Overall it's an ok place to shop but compared to more organized H&M's I have been to I gotta dock them a below average score. read more

Thank god for NERISSA!!! The underwear is DECEIVING. They're not ALL 9.95 yet they mix and match the boxes to make it look like they are. Almost lost out on using my Wrapp but she made the return process so frills-free. THANK YOU!!! If I could give 0 stars, I would. I will never visit this branch again. A couple weeks ago I took my daughter to return her online purchases and not only did the manager lie to me, she made me exchange the clothes (not even a gift card) b/c she said that is policy and when it scanned the sale price (my daughter had paid full price) she said that was store policy. It was late, we were tired and we went with it. Lost $7 per jean maybe even more like $9. Fast forward to today when we had to return what we hastily bought that day, I chose to go to Newpark Mall H&M; there the manager told me everything I experienced was a lie. There were no such policies. Fool me once shame on you Great Mall H&M. I plan to call corporate and complain about the branch. read more

I've been a fan of H&M for quite some time and this location is very convenient for me, being that is is just across the street. The store is always tidy (which is great, because some stores look like a hurricane hit it) and they have a pretty good selection of merchandise. The check out line can be long sometimes, but it does move fairly quickly. The prices are also pretty decent (about the equivalent of the regular stores). Tip: if you don't like crowds or lines, it's best to get there when the store is first opening. read more

This hm has the best selection for kids clothes, maternity and clearance items. They also have 2 cashier areas. The fitting rooms have a very bright light, sometimes blinding. I scored a ton of maternity clothes here as well! I really like the fit of the clothes I get here. I guess I dress in a lot of basics and for comfort. Most people rate this high because of the quality of goods, not the services. You can find the same goods online or in other H&M stores. So I'll judge based on the bad reviews I already see here and compare to a few of my own experiences. People here lack professionalism and even an semblance of respect for customers. Understandably, this is just job (that I assume they don't really have to try hard for: stock, cash out, bag, repeat.) that just adds money to their bank account. My advice, don't expect much, if not, anything at all from these employees. You'll get the same run around as any other badly managed retail store as far as customer service goes (from ground level employees, to the corporate level). Buy what you need, keep to yourself, ask the very simple questions, and leave. You won't find even the commodity of a 3 star bed and breakfast at this store. Manager refuses to exchange my items. Items are in prestine condition. Manager claims it is store policy when clearly the policy online for in store purchases states "RETURNS WITH ORIGINAL RECEIPTS We offer an exchange or refund, by the original payment method, on garments, swimwear (with hygienic seal) and beauty products, with a receipt within 30 days of the purchase date. After 30 days, merchandise may be exchanged only.  Discounted "Final Sale" merchandise is not eligible for refund or exchange. Undergarments are Final Sale for hygienic reasons. We cannot offer refunds on swimwear if the hygienic seal is not in place or has been broken. All Merchandise must be returned in the original selling condition." These items were not on final sale. I have receipt. I took off tags but have them in my possession. Go to another H&M. read more

My sister needed to buy a couple of pairs of pants for work. I had to exchange something at Forever21. We walked into H&M to browse since we saw some items on sale through the window. Lots of great stuff for under $20 on sale. Love their men's clothing items. My husband likes to buy dressy shirts at H&M and I don't blame him. I walked to the back where the kids clothes were located and SCORED on a dress, romper and shirts for the kids. The prices are reasonable and comparable to Forever21 along with the style. Besides paying $5.95 for Hello Kitty t-shirts is the BIZ! It's cheaper than Forever21 & Target. The store can be unorganized at times but the staff is always friendly and helpful. I will be back to buy some more clothes for my kids :) read more

If I could, I would give 0 star! I love this brand but today because of an employee who claimed to be the supervisor and she said her name is Amy, A Chinese-American probably! Can't tell. You lost a customer H&M. This employee of yours have zero skills to be a supervisor, a supervisor solve a problem but this Chinese-American kept repeating "I don't care". You can't say that to a customer! if you come to my company I wont even hire you as detailer. The ONLY reason why I'm giving "2 Stars" is because I love H&M for their goodies! A majority of my clothes and shoes are from H&M. BUT, this Great Mall location SUCKS with cleanliness & customer service! Every time I shop here, NO TYPE OF CUSTOMER SERVICE AT ALL! All the Employees are "too good" to greet or assist anyone. I've noticed if you ask for assistance, they give you attitude like they don't want to help you at all. I've been meaning to leave this feedback, because of the most horrible experience I had recently. I walked into the store and saw NOT 1, BUT A TON OF RED PANTS underneath a signage that stated "$5.00" so, of course I screamed "WHAT AN AWESOME DEAL!" As I was rung up by the Cashier - I brought up how I saw a sign that said "$5.00", BUT the tag stated $10.00 so, he gave me an attitude and didn't want to go have the signage double checked, ask a Co-Worker, or have a Manager to review the sign, instead, I said "Um, ok? Never mind, I'll just buy it". I then, went to the pants with the sign, grabbed a Manager, and all the Manager said was "Select styles only. This sign isn't supposed to be here". I then said "Can you grant me that price since it was placed there?" and he said "Unfortunately, no". OKAY! FIRST OFF! I work in Retail also and if a Customer were to see a sign like that WITH NOT 1, BUT A BUNCH OF ITEMS PLACED WITH THAT SIGN I'd GLADLY grant that Customer that price, simply apologize and state "My apologizes, but this was placed here by mistake, BUT, I will give it to you for this price". INSTEAD, HE SAID NO. COME ON! WHAT IS $5.00 GOING TO DO TO YOUR SALES?! Smh. I just walked off, because I said "You know what, $5.00 isn't worth it", but I thought I'd spread my joy to you all. :) PS. I don't like this H&M. The way they have the register set up?! The way the store Looks CROWDED too much stuff going on. Had a few bad experiences here. A rack of black & red dresses that I liked had a sale sign on it, so I picked the red one & Went to the register & it wasn't on sale & told the cashier & he said it was for the Black one?! WTF?! My second bad experience was when I came in looking for work pants. I found one kinda pricy $35 but I needed it. So I got one. Went home & the freaken METAL DETECTOR was still on it! Daymn! Best H&M in the South Bay. Good H&Ms can be found in SF, Pleasanton and Walnut Creek but the Great Mall offers the best store in the South Bay. Park near Neiman Marcus outlet. Women, Juniors, Men, Baby and kids departments all hold plenty of inventory. Clearance racks do it for me. Recommend for shoppers looking for some kind of wallet preservation. read more

H&M is always there for me when it comes to work clothes... I have work clothes from this store that have lasted me for 5+ years! I recently visited this H&M again to get some new black work pants. I found a pair that fit me well AND had a price tag of less than $20! I was actually able to try on about 5 different types of black work-appropriate pants during my visit; it was great to have so many options! It was unfortunate though that the dressing rooms weren't the best quality though. My dressing room had a bunch of dust on the floor and the lighting was poor. I've actually been in this particular dressing room during another visit to this store and I had the same dusty and poor lighting experience at that time too. It would be great if H&M could make the dressing room experience better for their customers. I just started a new job and needed to get some work clothes within my budget. I had a strategy - get there when the mall opened, before the crowd converged on the store, find what I needed and get out. Well, I didn't get there when the mall opened (got there at noon), got sidetracked by some other stores, and then I finally made it to H&M. The store was in pretty decent order, at 12 noon on a Sunday. Not a bad selection of clothes for work, casual, dress-up. There was never a line for the dressing rooms. Much of my time was just spent looking for my size and the particular style that I liked. I ended returning capri pants that day after finding cheaper prices at the GAP outlet store, a few doors down. This store is much better than the one located in Santana Row. It's got clothes for both guys and girls and offers casual style clothes - hoodies, cargo pants, tank tops, cotton knit shirts. Good prices. Just avoid the crowds by either going early or on the weekdays would be my suggestion. read more

Located in Great Mall. It's a pretty big store and it's usually pretty crowded. I think they keep it fairly organized with the amount of people that come through here. So that's pretty impressive. Although I must admit that the customer service can be friendlier. Couple of times now, I experience a rude cashier who doesn't really give you the time of day. They will just scan your stuff, take your payment, and move on to the next customer without even a hello or how are you? It just makes you feel uncomfortable or unwelcome. I wanted to make an online return. Brought in my receipt, and tags attached to the coat I wanted to return. The associate pointed out it was the wrong size. I didn't even realize that. Anyhow, she told me she couldn't take it back...and that I had to call their customer service line...then....package my item and ship it by UPS. Ummm...so...basically, I wasted my time stopping by the mall during pandemic and all, to be told to jump through hoops to just do a return for something I rightfully purchased online?!?! The only reason why I drove over to The Great Mall was so that I can do this return...other than that...I would have no business going. When I got to my car, I thought...do I listen to this associate? Absolutely not! I did what any other person would do. I drove over to the H&M at Santana Row. I explained what happened, and they gave me a full refund. No questions asked, & no stupid rules and policies they made up. If you're able to assist someone with a return who has proof of purchase....please do so. Especially with circumstances given with the pandemic. Why would you turn someone away who took a 20 minute drive out there???!!! THEN make them do unnecessary steps to do a simple return that you can just point your scanner and...boom. Why all the neg reviews? I really love this place! The clothes are fun, better quality than you'd think, and the price is right. The have a lot of variety in their styles; casual, conservative, flirty, professional. It's for a different crowd than the young party kids so it fits my needs well. Today I went and spent less than 55$ on 2 casual summer dresses, a skirt and a shirt. My girlfriend completely updated her professional/work wardrobe for only 225$... and I mean she got a TON of clothes. We didn't even make it to the sale section in the back before I pulled the plug. We should start there next time... When you walk in, they have a great guys selection to the left and girls to the right and back. They carry great clothes, accessories, lingerie/under clothes, shoes, etc. My boyfriend has bought and likes many things, though he says their boxer briefs aren't the most comfortable. I... should stay away from that store. I don't get in the mood to shop too much but that is one store that can pull the shop-a-holic outta me! I haven't been to any locations other than the Great Mall but this store in particular, is well organized and as efficient as a busy GM store can be. I seem to end up there on weekends when it's crazy busy but I've been on the weekdays too which are much nicer - calm and more for browsing. They handle the crowd well though. Ready for an adventure? You most certainly have an adventure finding clothes through this disaster pf a a store. Try this store out, literally has no organization with clothes everywhere. I really do mean clothes everywhere, it look like a messy teenager tore up the place (which is probably true) but the employees should at least have the decency to 1. Um, fold the clothes. Clean the place up? lol or maybe hire someone to do it. Oh wait, isn't that basically one of the job descriptions? 2. Be respectful of both you and the customers. We all can hear your gossip and rude comments. Worst customer service ever. Before going to this store, think carefully because all the workers were rude especially in the fitting room. My younger sister was trying to try on clothes but instead of waiting for her to finish coming out of the room, one of the male employee tried to shove another customer in there. If you want good customer service, try another store. If you expect professional service, try another store because clearly these young adults that work here are not properly trained. UPDATE: I just wanted to mention that I have filed a complaint with the company about this store. As far as I know, they have resolved nothing. I went back the store a few times to try to see if anything has improved. I seen nothing but just a degrading store. Honestly the employees should be thankful that they work at this specific mall because with their attitude and service, they wouldn't be getting any customers. Great Mall is one of the largest and most popular shopping mall in the city. I like H&M clothing, but Great Mall particularly has the WORST phone service. They continuously transfer me to different locations of the store when I'm only looking for one product! It really isn't that hard to look if you have something in stock. This isn't the first time either that I've complained how terrible they are. To be quite honest, I just got off of the phone with a representative who was looking if they had a blouse in stock and behold 3/4 minutes later after listening to that awful "background-hold music" the SAME rep asks "Hi this is William, how can I help you?" UHM EXCUSE ME YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO LET ME KNOW IF YOU FOUND THE BLOUSE I WAS LOOKING FOR! Or did he just forget that he kept me waiting on the phone all this time? I live within walking distance to the Santana Row H&M but I drive all the way to Milpitas to go to this one because they have a children/baby department and the Santana Row H&M does not. H&M has super trendy and reasonably priced clothing for my toddler and it is really the only place I want to shop for him. However, it is important to know when shopping there for your baby/toddler that the sizes do run extremely big; I'd normally buy size 18 months for my son at other stores but at H&M, I'd buy size 9 months. I also like that they have stylish maternity clothes at reasonable prices. Maternity clothes are usually ugly, outdated and overpriced so it is nice to be able to go to H&M and get a stylish pair of maternity jeans for $25 and a super cute Christmas dress for only $15. Some things I don't like about the store: The customer service is not great, the price signs can be confusing, the checkout lines are usually very long, and it can get very crowded in there. read more

Not a disappointment compared to the Santana Row location. I've spoken with the H&M expansion team (people who help hire and open up new locations) and asked them how they would deal with this perception people would get being in an mall known to most as an outlet. And they pretty much admitted that the company didn't know what they were getting into... Although it's weird that this store that got popular for it's cheap prices and instant fashion is no longer that cheap. Watch the rising dollars people. Shirts that they would sell for 9.95 reaching to a 12.90... In response to Celeste B., the reason that prices are not lower than the Santana Row location is that the SR location is classified as a "boutique" concept store, with stock only limited to the "higher" end items. This complements the different customer demographic SR attracts. Plus, under new mall management, Great Mall is attempting to deviate away from the "outlet" image, by welcoming stores like H&M and Victoria's Secret, and failing. It's nicely divided, with the men's to the left and the women's to the front. The Divided area (the younger hipper section) is on the way back, with the children's area to the left. Accessories that they had in the grand opening were alriiiight, and didn't have clothing tooooo spectacular, considering it was the grand opening...but I'd say go here instead of Santana Row. The staff is a little more educated with their products than the SR location too. I'm all for consumer madness, starting crazy lines, but all I gotta say is that staying in line since 11pm the day before opening is probably not worth it, since the person who won the $300 card was the 80th person in line.. wahhhwahhwah. Possibly the most overrated store ever! As some reviewers have mentioned, maybe the H&M's in California just aren't as good as they are on the East Coast/Europe/elsewhere..when I went to the one in Boston a few years ago I remember the style being a lot different from the ones I've been to here, in SF, and in Santana Row. This H&M is actually one of the better ones compared to the others in the bay area in terms of selection. Service always sucks for me, but oh well. I like the inexpensive work clothes and it's not too hard to find some cute tops/jackets here and there. Extremely rude employees! Tall Asian male decided to argue about being closed but it was 7:45 pm, closing time is 8pm. Claimed they only had 2 people closing, sorry but that's not something you should stress customers about. I mentioned that the last 15 min before closing should be treated the same as the first 15 min when the store opens. The worker decided to argue with me, showed his emotions of frustration, totally unprofessional. He got upset because I defended my self in pointing out the facts (closing time). He showed his frustration about me being correct and walked away by saying "oh my godddd". The Employees need training period. read more
