Very disappointed in return/exchange policy! I've been a loyal Children's Place customer for many years, but this recent experience was incredibly frustrating. I purchased about $75 worth of items in-store, only to realize once I got home that the same items were significantly cheaper online. Three of the items were for my son to wear to school the next day, so I couldn't just bring them back. I tried calling customer service, but they were already closed. The following day, I returned to the store to ask about a price adjustment. I was told that they don't do price adjustments--instead, I would need to return and repurchase the items, but only if I had them with me. Unfortunately, my son was literally wearing the clothes to school, so I was only able to return and repurchase one item. That means I lost out on the savings for the others, which is really upsetting. It feels unfair and honestly like I got robbed of my money. Moving forward, my new rule of thumb will be to either order online for same-day pickup or price check at the counter before purchasing anything in-store. read more

First time receiving dry and unpleasant customer service from this store definitely won't ever return let alone call this store. I had tried ordering for pick up and waited 45mins in line to just pickup order. Hi, I see why they have 2 stars cuz bad service most of customer . I bought two pairs of boots for my daughter keeping in mind that boots run diff size for the holidays and kept one tried to take another one back they wouldn't take it back cuz it did not have sticker ( sku or stock number ) but i had my recipet. it was under 45 days according to their policy . the girl who was ther refused to give her name . store manger or DM name. Another girl spoke to Dm sain only way to reach him via customer service only. finally i left the store come home and wrote an email to Children Place customer service expailing the whole incident now 4 days went no one got back to e . Then call the customer service explain my self again and asked Do sales rep should give store manger and DM name to customer ? reply was yes. I spoke with manger today said it's California privacy Law that they not suppose give there name but staff wear their badges but at that time i did not see her wearing badge. I am sure as a store manager or a DM they always can make exceptions . I can write on and on buy the issue is once you spend money at Children Place and don't have STIKER for returning item you can not get your money back rather sticker is wet i. the rain , you don't like the Item , your children took it off and, or misplaced. You Can't get STORE Credit , Exchange nor Refund now you stuck your money there which never get it back . My thing is why wouldn't you take item back if i have my receipt? Sticker is to locate the stock number of the item and price which is also on the receipt as well . So strongly suggest you guys if you going to shop there think twice buying the right Item keep STIKER with you to exchange . Children sizes changes pretty quick . We already going thru a lot cuz pandemic people have financial issues and someone keep your money and lift you with item you no long want it's is pain full. I'm 4'11" so I come here sometimes. They have a good size selection and I like their tights, shorts, and sandals. I came in yesterday to buy a pair of shorts for $12. After leaving the mall I looked online and found the exact same pair of shorts for $7. They also have free shipping. I do not live near a Children's Place so I won't be able to return the one I already bought. I wish corporate was consistent in their pricing because it was really annoying and inconvenient to pay more for the same thing. Maybe I should have checked online first. Their dressing rooms are also disgusting. Size stickers everywhere on the floor and walls. I'm not sure if they can price match but it's better to come here just to try things on. Now I've done it. I got The Children's Place credit card today. As if I wasn't already making a certain big bad corporate bank happy with my propensity for travel, half-marathons, and clothes, now I've decided to spend even more on the best-dressed person in my household: my daughter. This "outlet" doesn't really seem like an outlet: it sells the same clothes I'd find at the mall even if there is a sizable clearance area. But it's located in an outlet mall which means it's not disorganized and messy like the branch in Hayward nor sold out of everything like the store in Pleasanton. Added perk: the down-to-earth women working as cashiers(I'm sensing a few were cholas back in the day so you know they are super cool.) The kid may be wearing a uniform at school but she will continue to have the best outfits. read more

As an employee for the Children's Place Milpitas, im really surprised a lot of people like comming to my store! If only i had kids i would totally be shopping here 24/7 many of our employees as well shop here. Not to hate on other stores, especially in valleyfair where our store is right downstairs where there are several other kids stores, our prices are very hard to beat! Especially since our store is an outlet, we have deals as low as .99! Im sure if our manager saw everyones positive reviews she would be very proud. But as of today we have a new store manager :\ not too exciting. Ive shopped here only twice, i noticed a lot of our clothes are more appropriate versions and child-like versions of styles alot of teenagers and adults are wearing today.We have different sales and promotions every week kinda like old navy. Also i loveeee our newborn collection! the bear suit onesy i cannot get over, ive seen immitations at GAP and TARGET but doesnt compare to the price and softness of the version we carry :) The only downside to our store is that since so many people come in and shop and it is an outlet it gets super packed and messy, also we get an unbearable line. The staff at this place is pathetic. They have no idea about the product they are supposed to sell and are outright clueless. Shopping for school uniforms here is a pain. One employee answered a question with 'i am new here i have no idea'. She couldn't even bother asking someone else or pointing us to a person who would know. Cashier lady argued with us for 10 minutes about something she had no idea about. They seem to pick the worst possible people to staff this shop. The only thing I don't like is since it's considered an outlet store, you can't exchange/return and use their coupons at other children's place stores like at Oakridge mall or Valley Fair. read more

So I bought something's online for my son's birthday. I get to the Mall and it is packed. Took us almost 30 minutes just to park. After finding parking we walk in and there is a line to the back of the store. There is a bright pink sign that says "Online orders, pick up here". So I stand there. The cashier ask did I have a question? I tell her that I am here to pick up an online order. She then say's that "due to them not having enough people I have to stand in the line and wait". Absolutely NOT! So Children's Place has my product and my money ? I am so frustrated. Every store that I have EVER purchased items online has a separate line and does not make you stand in the line to "purchase" items when you have already done so online. I love shopping here for my kids but I will NEVER spend another dime here ! You do not inconvenience the customer because "you don't have enough people working". Which makes no sense because if I stood in line one of the four cashiers would have to leave the register to go to get my online order anyway so how does me standing in line change the fact that you don't have "enough people." Yes I know I am only one person but I refuse to spend my hard earned money here again. I'm looking into getting a refund for my product. read more

I am very sorry for this review. But I can say this store is one of the world worst store and worst policies it has. I purchased recently few dresses for son and the size was wrong and I lost the receipt. Since 3 months I am roaming different stores to make even exchange. But nobody is accepting. Initially said that bar code should be same but then latter I found that if size changes then bar code also changes then i orgued with them then they accepted to make even exchange. But one of the dress barcode tag was detached and it's there in dress, because of that they were not accepted the even exchange. This is very bad and I never seen this type of service in any store. This is very bad. In the same time kohls, Walmart will accept even exchange and returns with out receipt. Why should we prefer children's place. This is my final visit and I don't refer it to any body. read more

I have to agree with all the previous reviewers. This place is DA BOMB ! it's THE best children's store I've ever been to. And the prices are outrageously affordable. There are ample walking space, the clothes are always neat and organized for an outlet. IT's a huge store with everything under one roof. The girls and guys working there are super nice. You just cannot get a more positive experience. This place knows how to run a business and they do it exceptionally well. I've been meaning to give a girl working there a positive review but I am not sure where to do it. Although every single one of the employees were outstanding and helpful , there was a pretty girl name Kat who made a very memorable impression on me. She helped me to find the right clothing size even if it means searching the whole store and in the back. I feel so guilty because the price is so low yet these people went out of their way to greet customers, bring me shopping bags, offer helps to find merchandise, and never once did i ever seen them being upset or annoyed at anyone regardless of your race or gender. I've been to stores where the employees are only nice to a certain type of people. I never sense it here. keep up the great work. I wish i can give this store 10 stars read more

Whenever my kids needs clothes, we'll take them here. This is the only place I've been to, where the waist of the pants are adjustable. I already spend time adjusting the length of the pants, why spend more time adjusting the waist? This past weekend, we were here to buy pants for our son and for our daughter. We couldn't find the pants size that my son wears so I asked an employee for help. She immediately checked their inventory and I was able to get the colors and sizes that I needed. Whenever I ask an employee to check inventory at other stores, they will give me the same line, "If you don't see it, we don't have it." Also, when it was my turn to pay, I noticed that 2 customers behind me, was standing too close to me. When I turn my face, one of the customer's face was literally close up to mine. I politely tell the cashier that I'm not with them and she immediately took care of it. I respect everyone's privacy and I hope other people respect mine. I don't want people to hear all of my private info while I'm telling the cashier or even when I'm paying. I will definitely be back when my kids' need more clothes. read more

Extremely bad customer service the most pathetic shop i would say. They left the security tags on a dress and a hand bag twice and I had to come all the way just to remove that. Once I took a dress and after purchasing I entered Tommy and Hilfiger and the beep started and they have checked all my bags as if I have stolen something from their shop. Ufff so embarrassing experience it was. If you buy so many stuffs from a store we generally don't check whether the security tag is there or not. Though tommy people knew that i didn't buy anything from their shop and it was their courtesy to check my stuffs and they asked me to go to children's place to get the tag removed. When I went there they didn't even apologize for their mistake and simply removed it and gave it to me. Today again the same thing happened I bought few clothes and a hand bag from the store and was standing in a line waiting for my turn. There was a lady ahead of me talking to the cashier lady searching for her deals coupons on her phone. She took a hell a lot of time in searching and we all were standing in the line. The other lady was just roaming even though she saw me waiting for a long time i asked her are you open she said no. Finally when my turn came the cashier left the security tag in the bag again and i saw it when i came home. Why do they switch off the beep alarm? How ruthless, uneducated, impolite these people are? I wonder how do they get recruited for such bad customer service. They don't have any appraisal policy for the store. I received the email on Sunday from the children's place it said: "get $20 for every $20 you spend" without expired date. So next day, Monday I went to shopping to buy clothes for my kids. When I give coupons to customers services at Great mall in milpitas, they told me this is useless because this email was yesterday, not today. For my opinion it is misleading of advertising. They should include expired date, so customers know when it will expired. In addition, it is hard for customers to use the coupons in one day without telling them the true about the promotion. read more

First of all, I must preface that I have been to Children's Place at Valley Fair and Oakridge on more than one occasion and have always had exceptional service without any issues. I went to the Children's Place at the Great Mall today thinking I would find the same thing. Especially since it was a Monday morning between 10 and 11 am. I found several good deals right away. Navy Blue school pants for my son were on a rack marked 50% off. I also found a cute onsie "bodysuit" for my daughter on a shelf marked "All body suits $6.99". When I got to the register all of the sales I thought I found were ringing up as full price. When I mention this to the saleslady she rudely wants to know where I saw that price. When I showed her she talked to the manager and did give me the bodysuit for $6.99 while the manager hastily changed the sign to "All bodysuits $9.99". As for the school pants I was told that they could not honor that 50% off even though they were on a 50% off rack. I spoke to the manager and suggested that maybe they should fix the merchandise that are on that rack so as to not disappoint customers. He quickly brushed me off without any apology for the disorder of his store. I will not be going back to this Children's Place ever again and suggest you do the same. I found the sales clerk and manager to be rude and none of the sales that were posted in the store were actually true. You're better off visiting one of the more reputable Children's Place stores. read more

There were four employees in the store. I'm assuming one of store manager. There was only one cashier ringing. When I left the store. I looked back to count how many people were in line and there were 20 customers with one cashier. One employee was slowly folding clothes at the entrance of the store.
