Why deal with all the hassle when I could have a certified arborist do the job for around the same price or cheaper? (I didn't actually price out HD, but it should've been close) Plus he identified my mystery (mock orange) bush. The best part was I left for work in the morning and when I came home all my bush/shrubs were gone! Only a little bit of sawdust remained. Santiago came out to the house for a walk-through, and I followed up by email with a detailed scope of work for a yard project that needed old soil, a concrete block, tree roots, and shredded tires removed and replaced with new topsoil. They never provided the price estimate. I sent several follow-up emails over a months time, including a final direct request a few days ago asking if they were interested in the project. I have been completely ghosted and received zero response. If you need straightforward tree removal and pruning, they can do the job, but you may have to micro-manage the work if the job requires things done a specific way or custom instructions (in my case, roots removed to a specific agreed upon depth).
