The pad see ew and green beans also stood out for us. Wish there were more eggplant in the holy basil eggplant dish, as it was so good. Brussels sprouts were good too, but probably wouldn't need to get them or the masala fries again (also good flavor, just not that crisp and the sauce distribution was on the top). The only dish we didn't care for was the rainy Rangoon, but I enjoyed trying it all. Overall, amazing flavor, and will definitely be back, but wish portions were a bit heftier- though, between our party or 8, 4 apps and 4 mains were good enough.

Since it was my first time, I asked the staff for a recommendation. They suggested the bibimbap and mentioned it was on the spicy side, which I was totally okay with. While their cocktails looked really tempting, I ended up getting a Mexican Coke, and I loved that they had it. The bibimbap was absolutely delicious. It had so many different flavors and textures, and somehow they all worked perfectly together. The waiter also suggested mixing everything together before taking the first bite, which I really appreciated. The ambiance was super cute, with a cozy little tiki-bar vibe inside, and they also have a few outdoor tables. The service was exceptional throughout. This is an easy 5-star review from me.

I also really enjoyed the mami noodle soup (GF), especially the locally handmade rice noodles. The broth was delicate, comforting, and almost rejuvenating. One thing I learned after my first visit is that I much prefer the soup without the generous green onion and crispy garlic garnish. I had those omitted the second time, and it made such a difference! The subtle flavors of the broth really had a chance to shine. The Wood Ear Mushrooms were another pleasant surprise. Served cold, they're packed with an incredible amount of rich, savory umami flavor. Definitely worth ordering! The Five Spice Carrot Cake was the only disappointment. While beautifully presented, the cake itself was quite dry, and the texture just didn't work for me. With so many other delicious options, I'd probably pass on it next time. Overall, Jade Rabbit offers a unique and enjoyable plant-based dining experience. There's clearly creativity and care behind the menu, and I appreciate the variety of flavors and textures. The dumplings alone are worth coming back for, and I'm looking forward to trying more! Service was impeccable and the atmosphere so calming.

Oma's is definitely a staple on the list of restaurants I take people to when they are in town --…read moreesp for a fun little jello shot here and there :P I first tried Oma a few years ago; saw the sister restaurant Gado Gado but wanted to start here because I'm vegetarian and Oma's seemed to have more options/flexibility. Food wise, the things I usually order are the salted egg yolk curry fries and the roti canai plus minus another vegetable dish as available. Omnivore friends definitely love the ayam goreng berempah aka the Malaysian fried chicken. This place is quite consistent when it comes to taste/flavor; this, plus the ambiance, and the service move it from a 4 to a 5 for me. It is quite popular so highly recommend making reservations online, esp if you have a small group vs solo/2 person dining. Drinks wise, they have cocktails, a cocktail for a cause, slushies, wine, beer, and zero proof options (mocktails, sodas, teas). I have tried cocktails, jello shots, and the slushies -- all of which have been pretty tasty. Price wise, this is on the higher end but you do get a quality meal with fresh tasting ingredients. Save this spot for a special or fun night, but absolutely come check it out!

We made reservations for a Friday night just a couple of days beforehand with no problem. They had a separate allergen menu, which made it much easier to identify the vegan options. We ordered the few vegan dishes they had to share, and WOW, this food was something special! Definitely going down as one of those memorable meals! Their menu is seasonal and changes, but one dish we had was the Crispy Eggplant Chaat, and YES, get it even if you're not the biggest fan of eggplant. And the Roti?! SO good! Annnd the drinks! I'm always happy to see a solid NA/mocktail menu, and the Scorched Reviver did not disappoint! I also heard nothing but good things about the Ube "Emo" Margarita (with alcohol)... so good that THREE were ordered! Fun atmosphere, disco vibes, great service, and seriously delicious food. What more could you want?! Highly recommend! This was easily one of the highlights of our Portland food adventures, and I'll absolutely be back!!

We also received complimentary mango sticky rice, which was extremely delicious. The mango was honestly some of the best I've ever had. The Wonton Soup is AMAZING!!! Drunken Noodles and Panang Curry were a little too sweet for my preference, but they were still so delicious that I didn't really mind. I also wish the Ocean had a bit more shrimp, but it was very good overall. These are just minor critiques because the experience was still easily a 5/5. I am in complete shock right now. Where do I begin?…read moreI came in on Monday for the first time. I was super excited to try somewhere new that we might be able to frequent regularly. We ordered chicken wings, potstickers, chicken lo mein, and shrimp fried rice. We picked up the food and when we got home we noticed that the food was very bland, as well as no accompanying sauces. We went back out to the store and got soy sauce & sriracha. We came home to cold food, but nonetheless we ate. My partner wanted to give a bad review but I asked him to delete it, to give the benefit of the doubt. Welp that's when the trouble began! Starting around 11p until the next day all our stomachs were torn up badly. We did not sleep well at all due to this. When the restaurant opened I called to speak with someone about it. The google phone number was incorrect so I had to do some digging to find a working number. After 3 tries, a gentleman picked up but said he could not help and someone would call me back later that day (Tuesday). No one did. Bowie, the store manager just called me 2 days later. She refused to give me a refund because I was the first call she has had about a bad experience. She said if I was really sick, then I should've gone to the hospital. When I asked for a refund, she laughed at me and said I can call my bank and stop payment. I am horrified by this experience. Patrons Beware
