gray, sad, unseasoned sandwich Steak Sando. that was all the meat in it as well.

got the lulu sampler. Katsu was good, but 2 of the 3 pieces were almost all breading. the steak and egg however.. absolutely terrible. somehow the egg had negative flavor, and the steak almost seemed boiled. even for the money it wasn't worth finishing. oh abd 25 minutes with 3 people in the restaurant.

Went on a Friday morning and the line was out the door. It took a while to order and then waited some more for the food to come out. You order at the register and then seat yourself. There's some seats by the register and more seating in the back. Ordered the spicy chicken katsu sando and the flavors were balanced. The spiciness of the chicken and the coleslaw worked well together.

nothing out of this world, but this was a good spot! kept seeing all over social media and thankfully we came before the lunch rush hour. ordered the steak sando (it was nicely cooked, mebbe needed more seasoning) + spicy chicken katsu sando (my personal favourite i lov the spice and texture from cabbages) and both came with its respective sauces so cute ! i would also say the breading was a little too much also the owner was very attentive and friendly so we appreciated that ! interior design so prettys

We came to grab lunch on Friday, and waited about 20mins to order and another 30mins to receive our food. Ambiance: 4/5 Pretty chill setting. They have high tables at the main area where you order, outdoor seatings, and in the back of the restaurant. Service: 4/5 Cashier was really sweet and friendly. 30mins is a long wait though but that's how you know they're making it right out of the kitchen. Food: 3.5/5 Lulu sando box actually gives you 9 pieces in total, not 3!! Beef was kind of tough and had no flavor. Egg was ok. Spicy chicken katsu was also ok. I was expecting saucy katsu but it was the powder on top that made it spicy. Shrimp was really good! We weren't fans of the bread. Neither toasted nor soft and was kind of dry.

Loved my first lunch experience here! The cozy & modern fast-casual was spotless! The Asian male staff was super nice & took his time to tell me about the menu. I was HUNGRY upon arrival (I only had a small organic apple & black coffee for breakfast), and decided on the salmon bowl. The salmon bowl was DELICIOUS w/ generous portion of grilled salmon, seasoned perfectly. The rice was al dente with sautéed mushroom, as well as shredded cabbage. I can't wait to come back to try the egg sando.

We came at 11:00am, and they were already packed out. The wait time was over thirty minutes, which we were warned of after we ordered, but we were okay to wait. The staff were attentive and gave out chips for the inconvenience. Unfortunately, I just cannot enjoy the food. The egg sandwich was severely under seasoned, and it literally just tastes like egg. I was expecting flavors I couldn't make at home, so was very disappointed. The pork bowl was also underwhelming and came lukewarm. For the price and the wait, this is outrageous. It seems like an understaffing issue that we ran into that day, which can't be helped, but the food should at least be good. A place famous for sandwiches should put effort into each sandwich; if not, take the egg off the menu...

Vibes & delish dishes! Friendly service & cozy decor. Definitely my new favorite! Had the chips & chicken katsu and I'm already planning my trip back!

This is the definition of taste of Japan. Took me back to when I was in Japan eating egg sandwiches daily! The staff was so friendly. The line went out the door when I was there on a Saturday during lunch time. Waited about 15 minutes and completely worth the wait. The staff would come in and out thanking everyone for their patience, in which I appreciate the acknowledgment in the heat! They were doing the fastest they can, and by the time I ordered, probably took 5 mins to get the sandwiches out! The boss, I presumed, came out and gave us our sandwiches. Super nice and friendly. Even came back around to see what are thoughts were on the food! The place looks small but there is a cute back with cherry blossoms and lofi music that makes the vibe of the restaurant, so don't be fooled that the front is the only place to sit! I love nothing more than amazing food but moreover people who care about the people who come through their restaurant and acknowledge their presence and such! I don't live here but Vegas is like second home to us Los Angeles peeps, but saw this place from a vlogger I follow, and this is definitely on the top of my list of places I'll continue to come to and highly recommend!

    Steak sando, delicious!

We ordered the sampler for takeout and it was absolutely delicious! Loved the little tube with sauce that you can squeeze, the flavor was great, and the steak was tender and juicy. The sampler sizes are still filling because of the thick bread, and are a great way to try a variety. Would highly recommend if you're in Vegas!

It was more of a B+ than an A+. Gyu Plus is a fun casual eats spot that also has a social lounge on some nights. I was here for lunch though, and the latest Las Vegas Weekly coincidentally had just run a feature on them and particularly their egg sandwich. It sounded a little more doable than the more famous steak version since I was in a Chinatown crawl of sorts, so I went for it. The Egg Sando ($11.99) does look and taste appealing. It's lightly sweet shokupan (Japanese milk bread) toasted on the interior-facing side, a thick layer of egg salad, and a jammy egg with vibrant orange yolk. Despite the obvious visual appeal, the flavors were a little on the bland side. I could've used a touch of mustard or something zesty to jazz it up. Fortunately, I also ordered their Togarashi Potato Chips ($5.99), which are excellent on their own or when used in every bite to enhance an Egg Sando. These chips are very crispy, fatty in a great way, lightly spicy, and even more complex when you can get a bit of rosemary into your mouth. The Passion Fruit Mango Juice (~$7?) was great when sipped around the same time as enjoying the sandwich (either hot and fresh or more room temp later that evening), but a little odd and bland when sipped for several consecutive strawfuls on its own. The mango stands out much more than the passion fruit, which I expected to add noticeable acidity. I would likely go with with soda or even plain water next time. Service was good, with the employees and even someone whom I believe is the owner checking on me multiple times during my visit. That gentleman also helped me pack my unfinished food to-go after I called it quits. I will have to come back to Gyu Plus to try out the Steak Sando, a rice bowl, or maybe even that night menu. They didn't hit on all cylinders today, but I know others enjoy them a little more than I did.

    Chef bowl w/ raw yolk.
    Tim K.

It was our first time here, and I have to say -- it was absolutely worth the 300-mile drive. The food was delicious, the Chef Bowl was packed with flavor, and the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. They even let me customize the dish a bit by adding a raw egg yolk, which gave the bowl an extra rich, velvety, and creamy texture that elevated the whole experience. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because there were no complimentary cups of water available. Having to pay just to quench your thirst was a little surprising.

    Egg sando
    Anabelle D.

I keep hearing about these sandwiches and I now know that it's not just a hype. The egg sando might be my new favorite. The eggs are so good and cooked very well with a nice and soft yellow but firm whites. The sandwich is very creamy and the bread is very soft. I will need to try their other sandwiches but the only advice I have is to get your own.

    Trio
    Kmaui K.

I ordered the three sandwiches special. The combo includes the spicy chicken katsu, steak, and egg sandos. You get a total of 9 pieces (3 boxes) for $46.99. Service was quick. Prices were fair compared to other Japanese sando spots I've had. The egg sando was a bit bland. The chicken katsu was a bit overcooked in my opinion. The steak sando was tender, but lacking flavor. Not worth the hype. I've been seeing other influencers review them and gave them great reviews. Maybe it was an off day when I visited.

There was about a 10 minute wait to order, which we didn't mind given how crowded it was. Unfortunately, the experience went downhill when it was our turn. The staff member taking our order said, "do you know what you want?" in an unwelcoming tone. Even though, his tone turned me off, we still placed an order (...probably shouldn't have). We ordered the Freckled Redhead burger ($16) and the Chicken with Mac Waffle ($17). After ordering, we were given a number and waited outside. The food came out after about 20 minutes and we took it home to eat. A different staff member served our to-go order and she seemed nice. As much as we wanted to enjoy it, the food was just OK. The chicken was seasoned well but it seemed over fried, which made it dry. The waffle itself was decent but only had a small amount of mac and cheese inside. I had seen previous photos where mac and cheese was also served on the side, so that was disappointing. My boyfriend had the burger and said it was just OK as well...nothing special and not really worth the price. Overall, the staff member taking orders didn't seem very friendly or welcoming, and should probably take a break or work in the back. The food wasn't exciting like we hoped. We give it 2 stars. Even though we live nearby, we probably wouldn't return for the food. Maybe the coffee and drinks are better, but based on this experience, I cannot recommend this place.

We always make a…read morestop in Vegas to stock up on groceries and grab brunch before heading to Zion for camping. The food here is incredibly fresh and absolutely delicious - but they really need to step up their dishwashing and make sure the food is served hot. There's nothing worse than ordering coffee and seeing purple lipstick on the rim of your cup. It makes you want to leave right away. Then comes the inner debate - do you say something and risk being that customer, or just wipe it off and move on? On top of that, getting food that's supposed to be hot but arrives cold is frustrating. You sit there wishing you were at home where you could just microwave it - because the food is that good and would taste even better at the right temperature. Our experience wasn't helped by our waiter, who seemed disinterested after the lipstick incident (same guy mentioned in previous reviews that comes off rude AF/ agreed!). We didn't feel like asking for much after that. On the bright side, one of the waitresses was amazing - she looked like she was carrying the whole place. The chef clearly knows what she's doing because the food coming out of the kitchen was fantastic. That said, attention needs to be paid to cleanliness and serving hot food. There's no excuse for that. Despite these issues, I gave it five stars because the problems are fixable and don't take away from how incredible the food is. For reference, we visited on Friday, January 3rd, in the morning. There was a nearby parking structure and no wait time. The decor is a mix of farm-to-table and modern bistro - nothing overly exciting or disappointing. We were just looking for a good brunch spot, and this place is truly a hidden gem. Hopefully, they address the concerns we mentioned because it's worth coming back for! __________ To the Chef, Your food is incredible - truly Michelin-worthy. However, the staff is serving it cold and sometimes on dirty dishes. This isn't the first review mentioning these issues. Also, the tall white guy with grey hair was incredibly condescending and rude. Hospitality doesn't seem to be the right fit for him. It's disappointing to see someone like that representing the amazing work and love you pour into your dishes. On the flip side, the waitress with long brown hair was picking up the slack and holding the place together. She deserves recognition - maybe even a promotion. I hope you see this because if the team can consistently serve food hot and on clean dishware, this place could easily become the top brunch spot around. We appreciate your talent and hope this feedback is helpful! - Vee & Mike

It has a rustic, darker ambiance and not your usual bright and sunny brunch spots. The menu not too big, but offered enough varieties that we decided to try the biscuit and gravy as well as the corned bee hash. We also got house coffee and they were from mother ship coffee. Food came out quickly, but they were lukewarm and felt like it was already made and just put under a food light to be kept warm. The biscuit was good and soft, but the gravy was a little too salty. The corned beef came in a smaller portion than I expected, and the beef was diced too thin that they didn't have great texture and flavor. Coffee was good, but overall food was not as good as we'd expect. Service was average, the waitress was nice but didn't offer much service besides bringing out initial water and coffee over. No one really checked in on us after the food was served. I'd most likely not be back as there are many other brunch places in the downtown area to explore.

We made sure to be on time matter of fact we arrived 30 mins in advance since we had to catch a cab and traffic seemed heavier today. Once we entered we were greeted immediately however we were taken upstairs 20 mins later from arrival (no big deal still before our reservations) but there were no available tables. I spied a table getting ready to leave on the first floor and asked if we could wait for it and the hostess happily agreed (thank you)!! Unlimited mimosa 10/10, music 10/10, our personal service 10/10 (she tried and I don't even think she was a server but was very friendly and accommodating) however customer service/wait times/morale 2/10 because I'm typing this right now and it's 3:39pm 11/16/24 and I just got my wings still waiting on my fries. Reservation made for 2:30pm made it at 2:00pm just now have wings no fries and my cousin still doesn't have her food at 3:40....and to Christopher I've read your replies and you're disgusting!!! So let me help you with your response...I'm NOT broke, I DON'T need anyone to sponsor or fund my activities when I'm on vacation...DO BETTER!!! However the lemon pepper wings and fries (second request first were cold) tasted delicious. Therapy has potential if the customer service from Chris was better and food arrived in a timely manner. Also witnessed multiple tables abandon their orders due to excessive wait time however ALL the staff is amazing!! Update: actually met Chris after our food came and he is a complete jerk in person too. Drugs are bad people! Save your money and eat elsewhere I will never support this establishment again.
