My girl and I came in to Gyro Stop cause we heard they sell pizza & they did not disappoint ITS THE DELICIOUS ! The rumors are true, great pizza for our area! Cheese and sauce were tasty, the pepperoni side was fantastic. The service was great! I WILL BE BACK!

BOY!!! When I tell you this is a hidden GEM! I have driven by this place everytime I head over to Ben Barber and finally decided to check it out! Why did it take me so long???? Gyro Stop is a sandwich shop in an unassuming mini shopping center. They offer gyros, Shawarma plates, Italian beef, Chicago-Style dogs and a number of other options to serve the masses. The service is top notch and with only 2 gentlemen working in the shop, the wait is non existent! Kind, efficient, and well seasoned food with mega portions is what you can expect from this establishment. My andras ordered the Gyro Combo. When I tell you it was PACKED with fresh, hot meat? That was the largest gyro and fries combo I have EVER seen for under $15! With a can or bottle drink to boot! The meat was tender and juicy (Yes, I did the squeeze test for the juice check) it ran down his bread! It was SEXY (Thank you Father for marriage). The fries were fresh and hot and was enough for two people to share. I ordered the Chicken Shawarma Combo, no bread (ya'll know I'm trying my BEST to be faithful in the Gluten-Free Game). I was expecting the chicken to be served up on a bed of lettuce, that sort of thing. It was so much more. It came in a 20oz bowl that was JAM PACKED with the most seasoned, juicy, chicken thigh, Shawarma (put your hands up for the dark meat) topped with sweet onions, pickles, and (enter in the violins) the best garlic sauce I have ever had! There was so much chicken, I made a rice bowl out of the leftovers and STILL had some leftover! I haven't even gotten to the leftover fries yet! If you are ever out in Mansfield or live in the area, do yourself a favor... CHECK IT OUT!

Stopped in for a quick lunch to go as it has been nearly a year since my last visit (which we really enjoyed). It took just under 10 minutes from placing my order to it being ready which was faster service than I expected. I got a gyro combo meal and my husband got a hamburger combo meal. The combo meals come with a bag of fries and you pick a drink from the fridge. Drink options were sodas, bottled water, tea, & strawberry lemonade. The gyro combo is enough for two. The gyro was STUFFED full of meat and I really enjoyed it (4 stars). Couldn't finish it. The fries were large in portion and thick cut (3 stars). They could have cooked a little longer to our preference however my husband had no problem devouring all of his. The hamburger left something to be desired (2stars). My husband only ate a few bites. He said the patty was dry and overcooked and the tomato wasn't ripe. The floor was sticky. The staff were pleasant.

Overall the falafel and gyro sandwich were good. Wasn't out of this world good but better than most you can find locally. They had my order ready pretty quick and was still hot after driving home with the food. I will go back again. read more

Ordered carryout through yelp. Was ready when i got there. Customer service was good. Restaurant was clean. I ordered 2 chicken shawarma wraps and a chicken shawarma platter with hummus and a salad. The wraps were great. I really prefer these over the thicker bread you get at a lot of other gyro places. It was stuffed with a lot of chicken and the sauce is really tasty. The shawarma platter was good, next time i will ask for extra pita bread and extra sauce with this entree bc it wasn't enough. I really like the spices they use on the chicken. No burnt peices, no chewy inedible parts of chicken like you sometimes get at other places. Very tasty and fresh. Hummus was excellent, loved the green pepper in tge middle, not too hot just right. Super convenient location right across the street from a job site I was working on. Good enough to go back the second day and get the same sandwich, the gyro wrap. Very tasty, healthy portions of meat, and cut off the spit right in front of you. I will definitely come back when I'm in the area. I took off 1 star just because it was a bit unorganized on a busy lunch rush. But hey, on Yelp 4 stars is still fantastic. read more

Delicious! my new spot to get my Gyro fix! I enjoyed the chicken shawarma the sauce I enjoyed and I usually like more garlic but this was just fine. Best Gyro Place in Mansfield by far!! Everything is delicious down to the French fries the combos come with. It's extremely clean inside and the guys working there are usually the owner and his sons and they always welcome you with a smile and a sincere greeting! You won't regret coming here!! The meals here take me back. They take me back to an authentic Greek restaurant that I used to haunt in Stroudsburg, Pa. Olga's Greek Food is now defunct, but Gyro Stop is a fine replacement; especially since I am now 1,000 miles away. The meat portions are hearty, and is tender, moist and delicious. They have all of the yummy extras that Greek-food lovers crave, including seasoned rice and hummus. I only miss the grape leaves, and I hope that they will add it to the menu soon. The have things that would entice people wanted more standard fair; they include hamburgers and french fries. I can't wait to recreate the taste of Olga's Greek right here in Texas. read more

I think we just found a new favorite place. My hubby and I both had the Gyro Combo(Gyro, fries and a drink) and an order of their hummus. The Gyro was amazingly delicious, my hubby actually tried to steal mine after he finished his. The fries are very fresh and crispy, just the way I like them and the hummus is also freshly made with a beautiful presentation. We are stuffed and very happy. Service was mediocre, the guy that took my order was not very friendly at all. This place was terrible. I ordered a Chicken Shawarma plate to go. It took about 25 minutes before I finally received my food. Every other customer even people that came in after me got their food. I didnt get any kinda of explanation as to why it took so long. The chicken was dry as sand paper way over cooked. I could barely choke it down without water. My 1 yr old wouldn't even eat it. He'd just toss it on the floor. I definitely will not be coming back here again. read more

Ofc I built my own, a thin crust with chicken and Alfredo sauce, and it came out hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious. You can tell everything is made fresh, and they definitely don't hold back on toppings. We also tried the mozzarella sticks and calamari, which were both great. Service was friendly and attentive. I didn't get to try the thick crust pizza since it takes about 45 minutes, but that just gives me a reason to come back!

While dining in there are tv's often playing sports, and there's also a handful of arcade options. Driving by saw the " now open" sign. Decided to skip Canes and give it a try. Clean and accommodating Menu is just enough items I went with a number 1. Gyro combo. I figured best to go with the namesake. Omar at the counter was fast courteous and polite The combo was out in less than 5 minutes at the perfect temperature The meat and pita were great. Fries good. More than enough food. All around a grade A. Recommended for a quick bite if you are nearby sams club or lowes Next time I'll try the Chicago style sandwich read more

This is my new favorite gyro place! The gyro platter is always hot and delicious. They give you ample portions. The gyro meat is tasty and better than any I have had anywhere else. The main thing I like is that they are not stingy with the yogurt sauce or red chili sauce. You ask for it, they hand it over no problem. The guys who work here are always friendly. I have been here twice and they always say hi and smile and come over and ask how the food is. I would definately recommend this place to anyone who is a fan of gyros. read more

The Gyro platter was delicious! The gyro meat was perfect and everything else on the side was on par. The guy who took our order was very nice, and told us if we needed anything to just let him know. They greeted every customer as they came in, which was really nice. Will come back again and again, especially during weekday for lunches! Omar, the owner was passing out flyers by my job and asked us to stop in that they were just opening. Alot of places advertise "Chicago style food" but this place Delivers the real Chicago style food. I lived in Chicago for 28 years, I know the REAL thing when I taste it. Well done Gyro Stop! I ordered the gyro combo, Italian beef combo and chicago style dog for less than 20 bucks and I will be back soon. read more

This place just opened the other day so i figured id give it a try. Got the gyro combo which comes with fries and a drink and a large hummus which came with pita bread. Everything was VERY tasty and fresh! Great prices and i left full. Also tried both desserts. The baklava was AMAZING! I will definitely be coming back here and looking forward to trying other dishes on the menu! read more

My husband and I stopped by for lunch today. We were really hoping this could be our new local spot to get a good gyro. We were not disappointed.
