They have plenty of gear for all sports. You can do online buy with instore pickup. We needed a present for family bday and snagged a pair of Hokas, also ordered a pair online because they didn't have the size and color we wanted in store.

At this point, my shoes were hurting my performance more than if I were to run barefoot, so it was high time I got some new running shoes. Went in to the store and was immediately assisted by an amiable employee who walked me through a gait test and brought up three pairs of shoes for me to try. Used their test socks (yes, they have test socks!) that match the ones they sell in the store so you can try them on with your shoes. Got useful feedback and recommendations for other brands of shoes that would be a good fit if I wanted to run longer distances. All in all, I left the store with some new socks (Balega silver), a foot roller (Nano X), and a brand new pair of shoes (ASIC Gel-DS Trainer 24) for under $200. Money well spent, and will definitely go back when these shoes are dead!

Strongly recommend against buying hockey or goalie gear from these fine folks. Normally, I wouldn't…read morebother to leave a review but I've now had two negative experiences with Dedham and I'm happy to provide some feedback. For context, I've now purchased almost $1700 worth of goalie gear from Dedham over a few purchases. At first, things were fine. Respectful, decent service, fair prices - no complaints. My last two purchases have not been fine. I purchased a pro level catch glove that ended with an aggressive employee getting worked up when I offered $20 less than the $300 asking price. I was slightly surprised then but everyone has a long day now and then and communication isn't everyone's strong suit. Today, I purchased a used Bauer chest protector online. As I wasn't able to physically look at the piece I asked their staff to verify that there are no rips or tears in the unit. They responded with "Great shape, no issues." and so I purchased. I received the CA today and it's ripped. It's also single-handedly the smelliest piece of used gear I've ever received. These two little hiccups aren't huge issues by themselves. Offer a minor refund and I'll proceed without a concern. Instead, when I reached out for customer service to right this wrong - they called me a liar. That ticked me off enough to wander over to Yelp today. They replied that the "chest protector was sent out in pristine shape" and was "inspected by two goalie employees". That pissed me off. First, the unit is used, smells, and has a tear from wear under the arm - even though I specifically asked them to make sure it didn't before I purchased it. Second, if your first instinct in customer service is to call your customer a liar for your own f*ck up - you probably deserve to be fired or demoted to toilets until you learn how to speak to people. Third, don't tell me you had "two goalie employees inspect the gear", as if you forced them to line up and independently verify the quality of this used gear as if it were headed in to the Smithsonian. YOU. DID. NOT. You're lying to me and calling me a liar at the same time. The CA has a tear, you didn't see it, you don't know how to behave toward a customer from there. This really could have been a small issue for us both. Now I'm here, writing a novel, about Play It Again Sports in Dedham - because you guys suck.

All was not lost as Sylvia was helping us and offered several different options for my mom to try. She was super helpful, even helping my mom get the shoes on and lacing them up. I can't remember the last time I've seen that level of assistance in a shoe store. She was absolutely fantastic with my mom, answering questions and even showing her a special way of lacing her sneakers to help prevent heel slippage. My mom ended up getting two pairs of shoes that she said were so comfortable, and raved about Sylvia to the woman at the register. I took a star off as I'm a size 11ish and can rarely find shoes that fit me-most shoes only had sizes up to 10 available, but I'm so glad my mom had such a great experience today.
