Wow wow wow! Is all I can say about Joel and his guys! We have had sheetrock work done a couple times in the past that was very messy and disastrous, so we weren't looking forward to getting the current sheetrock work done... I can't get over how extremely clean, quick, and professional they were! We had a small closet under the stairs that needed some new sheetrock and texturing. We were hesitant to do the texturing because of my health issues and needing to keep the air as clean as possible. He said he would keep it confined and it wouldn't be a problem so we had them do it, and I am in awe that there was absolutely nothing in the air to bother me and apart from it looking a bit wet there was no evidence that they had even done anything in the closet! I don't know how they did it but I'm so so very thankful! He will be our sheetrock guy forever! And after getting one quote before his, his pricing was pretty reasonable too. He gave me my quote from pics I sent and because he was between jobs he was able to come out the very next day and get everything done. I was in such a after they left I found myself asking, were they really men? Or angels unawares? Lol! Truly truly a Godsend for us and they've redeemed our perspective of sheetrock work, lol! I called Joel Guzman of Guzman Drywall in a panic after another company did a horrible job hanging drywall in small building (new construction) in my backyard. Joel came out quickly to look at the previous work and gave me a very fair price to fix what had been done incorrectly (the windows had been done incorrectly, all the tape was bubbling and the drywall was hung in a bizarre patchwork quilt on the ceiling creating a strange maze of unnecessary tape seams). The rescue team at my place was Joel and one of his employees Alex and they were both amazing! They did a fantastic job, they paid attention to detail and asked for my input in a couple of funky spots. They really managed to make my new space look stunning! On top of amazing craftsmanship in their work: they were quick and efficient, they are so incredibly nice and they did a great job cleaning up afterwards! Consider yourself very fortunate if Joel can do your drywall work. We had a big, whole house drywall repair project: small cracks, big cracks, high ceiling repair - lots of work. Joel and his crew were the best work crew I've ever had in Texas. Here it is in a list: 1. The quality of the work was exceptional - really. A beautiful level 5 finish on every wall. 2. Joel was hired to correct a poor repair to the ceiling of our home. He arrived at the time stated and explained thoroughly what he felt was required to ensure that the ceiling repair blended in well with the surrounding areas. When asked on a scale of 1-10 what he rated the repair that had already been carried out he gave it a 1, he then told us his would be a 9. Bragging he was not, in my opinion it is a 10! There is no way anybody entering our home can see that anything happened to the ceiling, it has blended in so well that your eyes are no longer drawn to the place where there had been the water damage and the replacement patch had been put in. His team work professionally and everything is well covered ensuring as little dust as possible gets over your home. They are polite and friendly and work efficiently together to ensure they get the job done quickly for you. Joel did a great job on a repairing a small drywall area, and I highly recommend him for any drywall repair projects. He responded quickly to my quote request by text, hopped on the phone with me and answered all my questions. He showed up on time, laid out plastic sheeting to catch all the bits and texture overspray, and the final result looks great. He told me beforehand that the repair job will always look like a repair job, but he'll do his best to match the texture, and he delivered. The repaired area still needs to be painted (which will be done separately by someone else), but I expect that the repair area won't be that noticeable unless you look closely. Joel was also happy to explain what he was doing and why, each step of the way while repairing the dry wall. Joel also shared that he and his team do much larger projects, such as sheeting entire rooms or homes. I will definitely give him a call for future sheeting projects, big or small. read more

We had Joel out to repair the sheetrock in a bathroom ceiling that had to be cut out to repair an HVAC duct. The HVAC company repairing the duct recommended Guzman Drywall and told us Joel did great work - and they were right! Joel and his team repaired the sheetrock and then textured and painted the ceiling. His work is the best I've ever seen - even before he painted, I could barely see the repairs, and after the paint dried, it's as if there was never a door-sized hole in our ceiling. Joel was very professional in answering my questions and worked around our hectic schedule. When he came out to do the work, he was on-time, kept us informed of his progress, cleaned everything up, and finished early! We were also really pleased with his price - he was half the cost of another quote we received. Mr. Joel Guzman is a first-rate individual---prompt, courteous and thorough. His crew is no less either. We had two sheetrock specialists work on three or four problem areas and they never did the job well. Finally, we lucked out when we contacted Mr. Guzman. Within two hours, he had our estimates. They finished the job on time. What masterful work! The paint store gave us a satin finish instead of eggshell. Unaware, the crew painted some of the problem areas with the bad paint. Next morning, when we saw the mismatch and told Mr. Guzman that we were getting the correct paint, he said "no problems." They redid the compromised area with the correct paint at no extra cost. I needed the area under a kitchenette sink repaired. I booked time with another company to do the drywall repair. I told Joel I'd pick him if the first company didn't work out. Both had good reviews. One cost less with a longer wait time and one was the opposite. Joel's rate was still good. The first company was not responding to my messages come morning of the time we agreed upon. I contacted Joel pretty fast because I didn't have time to wait. Joel responded right away and said he could come an hour later. He did what I needed and I'm grateful! He was mindful of any mess which I greatly appreciated. In addition to good work, professional and interpersonal communication and cleanup are important. They're all part of the work in my opinion and Joel fulfilled these. read more

If I could give 100 stars to Joel and his team, I would. I needed a job done urgently, he was super busy and he still made the time and completed the job in a day. He and his team prepped the whole place to protect it and did a fantastic job on the drywall. It looks great and they cleaned up so well too. He also got an electrician- Javier to redo some wiring, and the electrician came at a moment's notice and did a great job too. I can't recommend Joel Guzman and his team enough. And the price was less than half of what others quoted. On top of that- Joel is an amazing person, he's personable and kind. Excellent and quick work from the team! We purchased our current house last year. Two of the rooms had plastic paneling that was glued and nailed to the walls, as well as wallpaper. After removing all of it, the drywall was beyond damaged. Guzman Drywall's team came the same day I contacted them, gave me a reasonable estimate and started working on the repairs within a few days.
