I have a watch that my Grandfather gave me. It is wound too tight and needs the spring released. I called them and he said it would take 4-5 months to look at it. I asked if they still had a watchmaker on site and he said, "the short answer is, I cannot look at that watch for 4-5 months. Customer Service.... This guy failed. The watch I have is worth upwards of $1200-$1500 and I was prepared to pay him what ever it took to get it running. His EGO and Attitude get in the way of him doing business. I'll steer clear. His knowledge isn't the issue; it's the ego and attitude that come with it. He was dismissive, short, and acted like answering basic questions was beneath him. If you enjoy being talked down to, this is your spot. He could really benefit from a crash course in basic customer service and how not to let confidence turn into condescension. ABSOLUTELY The BEST watch Repair shop I bought a solar radio control watches from Japan. I thought it will be easy for me to setup but it was not so I took it to other watch repair shop. I know they did their best but kept my watch for 3 weeks, tried to open or opened my back of watch, made a scratches and date changes to the next day after 5pm (Japanese date). I was disappointed so I decided to search and found Guyos Time. After inquired through Yelp, another solar radio control watch and in the few minutes, he corrected the brand new solar radio control watch!! Some of the work has been very complicated involving rare or unusual mechanical movements. One in particular was a Schumacher (sp?) Omega chrono that he went to unusual lengths to source the fix. First time patron here. Glad I found Guyos! I lost a critical internal screw while changing the battery on my wife's watch, so it wouldn't run. I thought I was "screwed," but never fear, Guyos is here! He dug thru his odds and ends to try to match the screw, but didn't have any luck. In the end he was able to find a matching movement (good thing this watch has a pretty "standard movement"! Haha!;) He replaced the screw, popped in a new battery and I was good to go! He did all this while I waited, enjoying some back and forth banter with Guyos who, as it turns out, is very entertaining! ;) Thank you for being an example of what every small business should strive for. This guy is a stud. Knows his stuff. I had a band I bought from Etsy and he said it was really nice but did not fit perfect. Instead of charging me to remove the other band and just install a band that was not perfect he talked to me about it. I ordered another band in the width he recommended and will be back to have him install it and keep it going. He replaced a couple batteries and did a couple bands for me. Watch battery lasted only about 6 months of use. Wanted to charge double to replace a second time when the first one didn't last long enough. Not impressed. Response to Guyos: the watch pin was pushed in for 6 months. So, respectfully, you are wrong. I stand by what I said. It lasted through 6 months of use even though the battery had been replaced earlier. The pin was out most of the time, so it was not draining the battery. You were rudely behaved to my husband and you are rude now. The watch is not from China. You also quoted double the price he paid initially to replace a faulty battery. read more

Guyos worked with me on two purchases. One was to restore a very old wrist watch that was my grandmother's. It keeps time by winding up. He did a great job replacing parts, getting it to work again, cleaning it up to shiny and lovely and explaining how to keep it in good condition for many years to come. Second, I ordered a Citizen watch with an expandable band. It's a beautiful watch, solar battery. I wear it for work, casual,- fits all occasion with its gold and silver color. He worked with me very patiently (I visited 3 times) to get the expandable band at the right sizing - adding and subtracting links. Finally perfect. I took in my SEIKO kinetic watch I was given... which was in a box for two years before it was given to me. It was not charging. I took it to a place, I shall not mention, and they opened my watch, messed it up, and told me they couldn't help me. I took my watch into Guyos he took a look at it and did a quick fix. He told me it could possibly fix the problem. He was not sure so he did not charge me. He told me that if it did not work it might be cheaper to buy a new watch. All because the watch is kinetic and rechargeable but it was a gift. I checked with SEIKO and they told me it could cost a lot to fix. So what he told me was accurate. However, the watch is working great now! Guyos told me the small fix he did would cost $10 before he said I owed nothing because he was unsure. When my watch was obviously working I went back and paid the $10 it would have been. I am extremely satisfied. While I was there I did notice that there is not a wide variety of watches to buy. But if you need a watch fixed he is a real professional! I would recommend him to anyone. read more
