Therefore, imagine my understandable great dismay and dissatisfaction when I brought in a common Casio PRO TREK to have its rechargeable battery replaced. The initial associate whom I'd handed the watch and described the issues (battery not holding a charge; ABC features causing recovery mode; no beeps; etc.) to was a moron. He cluelessly inspected the watch with a puzzled look and repeatedly asked about it features and the problems, then suggesting that I should leave it overnight. My fair interrogative inquiry to the idiot: "There've been many other customers coming in here for the same thing. Why are you acting like you've never done this before!?" That was when another employee (boss or manager?) came over with an attitude. However, this one did show proper knowledge and promptly, correctly diagnosed that my Casio should get a new battery installed, BUT would cost 75 fucking dollars(!) and take a few hours. Again, "read the numerous reviews" as I suggested to the second individual, who faslely argued the rechargeable battery for my watch cost more, while also stupidly implying that in all the years the shop had been operating--with many customers visiting--no one had ever brought in a watch with a rechargeable battery. So, having enough of the bullshit from the two dumbasses, I curtly left. Subsequently, I ordered a $15 rechargeable battery online, watched a 5-minute video, and proceeded to replace the battery and reset the watch myself. No pointless, useless watch repair shop necessary. read more

NEVER NEVER NEVER BRING YOUR WATCH HERE!!!! I brought my higher end stainless Swiss watch in for the second time for a battery. They advised me I would also need some routine service including a new gasket.... OK.... I picked my watch up a week or so later. I went skiing a few days later. It was a sunny day with no new snow. I noticed in the evening I had condensation INSIDE the face of my watch. I have never experienced this with this watch and I ski a lot. I called Mt Olympus and they gave me some bogus answer. I asked to speak with the manager, and he too told me I did not know what I was talking about. He even laughed out load at me along with someone in the background. He was trying to MANSPLAIN to me how because my watch was older etc.......I told him I have never had condensation in my watch. He laughed again. I hung up. I called Morgan Jewery and they recommended a watch repair person, who I went to the next day. I left my watch there for him to look at. When I picked my watch up, he stated the case tubing showed some wear and possible rusting, and he had repaced that along with damaged caseback gasket, that he also stated was the wrong fit. WOW OMG! These guys never let me down! My pocket watch that I've carried for years and years suddenly it started running slow, even with a new battery. I took it to Mt Olympus and they fixed it right up; now it keeps perfect time. I'm a repeat customer; my first experience with Mt Olympus was when I took a priceless, antique cuckoo clock to them several years ago. They had to special order the parts so it took awhile to repair, but when my clock was finished it was as good as new. It's a fascinating shop to visit, by the way. I brought in seven watches to have the batteries replaced. One didn't need it and another watch didn't work, but I wasn't charged. The TAG Heuer divewatch was left so that the watchmaker could put in a new gasket and pressure tested for leaks while scuba diving. Very reasonable pricing. Amy worked for 45 minutes while I waited to replace the batteries and the other five watches. Very friendly and just a fun shop to go into with all the cuckoo clocks and products from Germany. I was very pleased with their service and attention. I brought in several watches that needed battery replacement. I was told by another shop that 2 of them needed to have the mechanics replaced and the others beyond repair. They checked them all and replaced the batteries. Two needed to have more extensive work but not worth doing. They only charged me for the battery replacement and nothing for checking the others. Honest and easy to work with. Have used them in the past. Took a perpetual calendar watch to have the battery changed and reset. Charged $9 for the battery but couldn't reset the month/day/date. They said they'd have their watch repair guy look at it. He came back with a quote for $250 for a factory service. Seemed unneeded so I took the watch back, looked on YouTube and reset the watch functions in about 5 minutes! I called and complained. They told me that they can't be expected to know how to reset every watch. Ok, but they could have told me that rather than tell me it needed $250 of repairs. Seems like incompetence at best, fraud at worst. Beware if they tell you your watch needs a "factory service." read more

I took my wall wind-up chiming clock there because though it kept good time, it consistently chimed at the wrong time. I'm annoyed after visiting this place. I called in advance and let them know what I was looking for. I need my mechanical pocket watch repaired so that I can use it again. I use it as my daily time piece and I'm pretty sure that it just got magnetized because I didn't realize that could happen so easily. I was told that they could repair it so I drove 400 miles and brought my pocket watch in. When I got there, what I assume was the repair specialist wasn't listening to me and could only focus on telling me that it's impossible to use it for daily use because "people don't wear watches like they did back then." He also wasn't listening to me when I was trying to explain the issue, and would immediately talk about how I couldn't wear it for daily use. I get that you think you're the expert in this situation, you've been repairing watches for a long time that's why I came to you. however, I didn't come in to have you tell me it can't be worn because I know it can. it's rare to see someone who would want to because cellphones are so much more convenient, but there are plenty of people who do wear these watches for daily use. what I needed you to do is leave the wearing to me and do what you know best which is listen to what's going on with it and tell me how it can be fixed. read more

The worst customer service I've ever encountered. I bought a defective German pyramid Christmas decoration last spring, and at Christmas when it was taken out for decorating, it wouldn't spin. I returned it and they said they would fix it. It has been on their shelves untouched since late November. When I went in, they said it hadn't been worked on yet. I left it and when I returned again they said it was fine, but it is not. In this day and age, I don't understand how they can give such horrible customer service and stay in business! All I know is that I will never go there again, and I will certainly tell all my friends about them. One review said the sons were running the business into the ground.
