They aren't reliable. They don't show up for appointments nor do they call you back. We've had a plumbing issue for well over a month. They've been out after Roto rooter was called and we've asked them to scope the drain, they just said the line is cleared and don't scope it. Now we have a huge issue with the sewer line broken and they never showed up for the appointment. read more

Just bought an older home in Savannah and the washer hookup was leaking and just funky looking. One plumber came and looked at it but then never returned my calls. I called Guy Boyd Plumbing, they came out, gave me a quote in a price range I was expecting. The work was scheduled, they did show up on time. It did take longer than anticipated once the walls were opened up and more issues found. I did have to pay for additional materials but my issues were resolved and I am happy with their work and I would call them again. read more

I did not have a good experience with this company. They did not come out when they said they would and I had to call several times to reschedule because no one showed up. Sometimes I didn't get a call back when I left messages. They had to come out a second time because the problem was not resolved. I had to hire another plumber. read more

We used this firm in the past with great results. A couple of months ago we needed a toilet installed. We called Boyd Plumbing and the office person said they'd come next Wednesday. Wednesday came and went and no Guy Boyd Plumbing. The office lady gave me the plumbers mobile. I called and texted and got no responses. They have apparently no need for my business. I will now offer my business to immigrants who understand how to make customers happy. read more

I recently had a new tank less water heater installed in my home by Guy Boyd plumbing. I also had them reroute my old washing machine plumbing to another room in my house. The owner (Guy) came to my home to do the estimate and was prompt, friendly and extremely professional. He not only gave me excellent advice but the price was more than fair. His crew showed up the next day on time. First there were 2 at the beginning to prep the job but before long, there were 5. Horrible experience. Was assigned to them by my home warranty. They made me wait over 6 hours, then the plumber who finally shows up had no clue what he was doing, was quick to misdiagnose everything because he was too lazy to even look at the problem. He then made a HUGE mess and flooded our entire laundry room, ruined our flooring and when asked to clean it up he sped away in his truck. Literally. Completely crazy experience. After being referred by our warranty company for a blocked drainage system they did not respond, several phone calls and texts sent and no response, informed our home warranty company and they could not contact them either. So I had to find my own plumber because we had sewage backed up in our sinks and bathtubs and toilets besides this being a huge inconvenience it was also a health hazard. We ended up paying out of pocket because the warranty company would not pay for an unauthorized technician. Never never use this awful company. read more

I had a leaking hot water tank. The plumber I was assigned through my Home Warranty company told me that they could not relocate the hot water tank in any place other than in my master suite closet. This was needed because the current hot water tank was located in the attic. The hot water tank was installed and the home was built around it. The attic access opening was 20.5 inches and the hot water tank is 23 inches wide so the tank couldn't be removed. Because of the HVAC duct work, we couldn't put another tank in the same spot. Brilliant builder design! I would have to pay extra for the relocation, which is to be expected, but I would have to find an electrician to run the wires for this relocation. I understand that their hands were tied because of the home warranty contract but finding an electrician and getting their schedules to match up would take some time that I didn't want to waste. The tank was leaking from the bottom. I didn't want 50 gallons of hot water pouring through the ceiling should it fail. So I looked at other alternatives. I decided to call other plumbers for a 2nd opinion. I called Guy Boyd Plumbing on Wednesday late afternoon. On Thursday morning, Guy called me and asked what help I needed and to gather some initial information. Later that afternoon, Guy came over to my house to see the current set up and provided some options. After discussing options and costs associated with each option, we settled on relocating the hot water tank into a closet on the main floor. This was the most expensive option, but made the most sense. He provided his professional insight on the pros and cons of each option and answered every single question I had. He was very pleasant to deal with, very polite, and professional. The quote was exactly what we were charged. He stated he didn't think he could get to us the next day due to the corona virus situation and that it was 3pm in the afternoon on Thursday. Friday morning, we received a call asking if we could be available to have the hot water tank installed. The crew was polite and professional as well and had the hot water tank relocated and installed in less than 2 hours.
