These guys did the bare minimum. They only sent one person to come clear our a storage space. We helped him where we could because it was not a job for one person. However, when the driver left, he had forgotten some large items including a door in the hallways of our building. We were also charged more than what we were quoted. I appreciated the speedy responses from the rep when we were arranging and scheduling our pickup, but they should really send more than one person to handle a junk removal task. read more

I made a same day appointment, which was great. I was also a damn good customer, having carried everything to the front of my driveway. The guys showed up right on time, and since it was the end of the day, they were tired but happy to see everything neatly piled up by the curb. Pros: Very Responsive Reasonably priced (even with the up selling) Professional Got the job done Cons: They up sell, so be prepared to pay more than the initial quote They were two hours late. A minor annoyance but understandable since it was two days after our area had major flooding. I contacted Andrew on a Thursday evening and was offered a slot the next day. I decided on a slot for noon the following day, Saturday. Marty and Alex showed up with one truck for my job. They were professional and pleasant and did the job well. I had to get rid of a basement-ful of junk that was damaged by sewage tainted flood water. All the stuff was already outdoors. The junk was about 1.5 truckloads. Marty and Alex had to go to the dump and returned to finish the job. It took them about 3.5 hours beginning to end. Now when I initially contacted Andrew the quote was $179-$259. Compared to other quotes I received, this was the lowest by far. I read about the up selling in some other reviews so I tried to lock in the $259. Andrew assured me that there would be no surprises. Turns out up to $259 is only for a fraction of a truckload. My stuff ended up being 1.5 truckloads and I agreed to pay $850. Other junkers quoted me $2k-$3k. Should they be more upfront with the pricing? Yes. But considering the amount of junk I had and the quality of Marty and Alex's work, I still think I paid a very fair price. I hope I never have to get rid of sewage soaked junk again, but if I do, I know who to call. read more

$99 flat for my fridges is not fixed price. they bumped up to $250. please make sure their price is right and tell all your stuffs before hand. I found scrap metals who were willing to take it for less. Due to my time constrains I had to negotiate with them. Becareful!!! read more

I've never needed a junk removal service before so I did a lot of research between various companies around Queens, NY and Gutter Your Clutter came out on top. The booking and the actual process of removal was even more proof of professionalism. Andrew responded very quickly regarding my inquiries in the afternoon and helped take away my junk same day. I had an 8pm appointment but asked if there was any way they could come earlier. I received a call notifying me that 7pm was do-able which was great. An efficient crew of 3 came through, very quickly examined the job and gave me a quote which matched what was expected from prior discussions. They took furniture from the second floor, main floor and garage. I even had to leave early to pick up my wife from work so once all the furniture and other junk was outside I paid via credit card and they told me they would take care of the rest. Made an appointment for 9-10 am but they showed up after noon. Which ruined my work schedule. The workers would just throw things down the stair case not caring about spilling mess or potential damaging the wall. I was late already for my next work appointment but cleaning the mess they made me late even more. So I would call the work unprofessional. After the work was completed the quote from the email was vastly different from what the workers quoted me. Be careful: we had a written quote (the quote actually included the statement: "we will get it done for this price, no hidden fees") based on detailed photos and a clear understanding that we did not have an elevator. The crew showed up and before walking in the door they said they needed cash in an amount more than 2x the quoted price to even start! After the move, I sent the owner Andrew an email asking why he thought this practice was fair, rather than predatory. He did not respond.
