He made suggestions but also really listened and addressed any questions thoughtfully and thoroughly. Midway through the drainage system installation, he pointed out a place where I had some dry rot that should be repaired before they finished the work. Alex was flexible and waited to hear back from me that my repairs were done before coming back to complete his work. I'm so grateful for that, and also that we caught the issue before more damage had been done! The retaining wall and grading look great as do the rock work, drainage system and new concrete steps. All was completed in just 1-1/2 days, and for a very fair price. As an added bonus, the driveway and parking pad benefitted from extra gravel, including Alex and his team moving a heavy trailer to freshen up the area underneath with new stone. I had my backyard completely redone with this company in 2020. I had a patio awning installed. They…read morehad it permitted through the city and inspected. It passed. Just two years later we started noticing that the window directly under the awning was leaking during severe weather. (So once or twice a winter) it has been a nightmare ever since. I called Salens to have them come inspect. They did not come out. They gave me the number of the company who did the awning. My husband and I both reached out to them to NO RESPONSE. At that point I felt like I wasn't going to get help from Salens or this other company. I reached out to several awing companies and explained the issues I was having, to see if they would come inspect the work. To no surprise very few people felt comfortable inspecting work that wasn't theirs. I found someone who did come out, pulled back flashing, recaulked, and sealed some cracks around the area. This helped initially but the leaking came back. I had a leak detection company come out and they couldn't replicate the leak. At this point my option is to pull the awning down and throw 6,000 down the drain or cut a whole inside my home in the drywall to see where it's leaking. Pulling the awning down will require me to completely resucco the backside of my home. Theres no visible damage from the leaking. Our Insurance company couldn't find the source and declared it wasn't from a storm. I called Salens back because I really wanted to speak to the owner about this and I left a message with another staff member. It's been two weeks with no call back. All of this to say I would vet the subcontractors this company uses. I also would not recommend drilling into stucco !

They were getting rid of remnants at a reduced price and since natural grass seems to be unsustainable in my yard, we opted on getting some turf to beautify the area and give some texture to my desert looking yard. Before heading to the turf depot, we did our due diligence at Home Depot and Lowe's, and for the size and quality we got at the Turf Depot, we would have paid 3 times as much at the big chain retailers. Kurt is an amazingly nice guy. Helped us with the measurents to figure out how much sand, nails, and glue we would need for all our sectional home projects. You get everything you need with great customer service at this location. We will absolutely recommend this to any friends that intend on doing the same to their homes.

A second pressure-treated fence post has rotted in my Ergeon fence. Pressure-treated lumber should…read morelast 10 to 15 years, if not longer. As with the first rotted post, which Ergeon replaced while the fence was still under warranty last year, the concrete footing appears not to have been properly sloped to shed water. This post is located in an area that gets wet only when it rains, yet it has still rotted. The problem appears to be a defect in the original installation, exactly like the post approximately eight feet away that Ergeon replaced under warranty. Ergeon's subcontractors may work quickly, but my fence suggests that speed does not translate into quality workmanship. When I contacted Ergeon, I was told the post was outside the warranty period. When I expressed my disappointment that Ergeon would not take responsibility for what appears to be an installation defect, I was then told that Ergeon no longer replaces individual posts and instead replaces entire fence panels. Perhaps that policy is intended to discourage customers from pursuing relatively minor repairs. It certainly seems like a convenient way to turn a defective post into a much larger repair at the customer's expense. I politely declined to pay for an unnecessary full-panel replacement. A few weeks later, I received a message from Juan asking whether I was available between 1 pm and 3 pm on August 5 for an Ergeon representative to address the post. I replied that I was surprised to hear from him after previously being told that Ergeon would replace only the entire panel. I confirmed that I was available and asked for additional information about the work. No response. I followed up again this morning. Still no response. One o'clock came and went. Then three o'clock. No representative arrived, and no one contacted me. Ergeon appears to rely on a seemingly endless supply of new customers rather than supporting the customers it already has. That's a remarkably shortsighted business model. Most residential properties have at least three fenced sides. A customer who hires Ergeon to install one section of fencing could easily return for the remaining sections, provided the company delivers quality work and stands behind it. There's also the matter of referrals. After my fence was installed, a handful of neighbors asked for Ergeon's contact information. I've since told my neighbors that, Ergeon may not be the best choice for a fence installation - based on my experience. I hope this review gives you a healthy warning about Ergeon. It may not affect Ergeon's bottom line, but prospective customers deserve to know how the company handles apparent installation defects, warranty concerns, and scheduled service visits that simply don't happen.

Instead they would begin the following day. The owner made it clear that he had known about this for about 2 1/2 days, but he didn't notify me until a few minutes before he was scheduled to begin. We had a signed contract and I had given a deposit. I'm not saying that he wouldn't have done good work or that it wasn't a fair price. But not cancelling until it was nearly the time for the job to begin, when he had known for well over 48 hrs is not acceptable. It shows that this contractor has no respect or concern for the time of his clients, he is only thinking of himself, and is generally very inconsiderate. Find someone who is reliable and won't bail on you at the last minute!
