I can't say enough about this company. During Covid we decided we wanted to finish off a part of our yard that had been naked for several years. Since my husband is a golfer and loves to practice, we decided a putting green was the right choice. I reached out to several different companies to get estimates. They either never responded or when they did come, they gave me a very vague non-detailed estimate. Then I met Annie. What a breath of fresh air. We made an appointment for her to come over. From the moment I met her I knew I wanted to give my business to her. We talked about what we wanted to accomplish. She looked at the area and took very detailed measurements. I believe we had one or two more appointments after that to review her plan which was absolutely incredible. She recreated so many different scenarios in the design that one could possibly encounter on a golf course. Undulations, breaks, slopes. It was truly a work of art. Then the time came for installation. So many different parts to this transformation. From digging out massive amounts of dirt, to prepping the ground with different layers of product and then laying the turf. That in itself was a process. So fun to watch the putting green come alive. All of her employees worked so hard and were so respectful of our property. It has been 4 years and our putting green looks as spectacular as the day it was installed. Annie and Paul were a pleasure to work with, honest, reliable, and knowledgeable. The crew was top notch and every step was done with care and expertise. TuFFGrass made it easy to schedule the concrete and LED lighting contractors. Annie provided many valuable suggestions such as adding PVC pipes underneath the concrete walkway in two places to run the drip lines and landscape wiring to the other side. She did a great job of repurposing little used items from our backyard and moved them to the front yard to add interest. They chose all the plants and designed the layout that included installation of drip lines. There are different colors of turf to choose from and we used the fall style that includes three colors of green and tan yarn. They do not call themselves landscape designers but the results beautifully transformed our yard. When we told our neighbors we were putting in artificial turf to save water, they politely nodded. Next month we will have had our TuffGrass for 5 years. We have TuffGrass in both the front and back yard. Our artificial turf still looks great! One thing to take into consideration: If you are considering artificial turf for your back yard and have pets or children, please consider your summer temperatures. Living in Sacramento we learned in a hurry that the heat in the summer is much too hot for artificial turf.
