After a couple of days we found ourselves traveling to Mississippi, and wanted something different than the usual fare. My wife noted that there was another location for Gus, so we decided to give it a shot. We were greeted by Kesha, who was filled with joy and Southern hospitality. We explained it was our first time, and got some guidance, and decided to go with what they were famous for, fried chicken. The three of us chose different options for our sides, with the idea of sampling around. For each of us, just one bite into the chicken, said that we were in a different world. The potato salad was heavenly, the fried okra was scrumptious, the coleslaw was legendary, and we each had our chance to sample sweet potato pie, and fall in love with all of the flavors. This is a proven diamond mind of how to treat people right and make great food. We have a location about 30 minutes from our home, and we are looking forward to many return visits to this very delicious recipe. We may never have heard of this before, but it is now distinctly famous to us.
