I would give this place 3.5 stars. I had a Berliner Currywurst with spicy sauce which was really good, especially the sauce which was homemade and not just ketchup. On the other hand, EUR 3.50 for a rather small sausage is quite on the expensive side.

Hipster wieners... by far my favorite type of wiener. My girl Mandy L and I decided to dip our sticks into some German wurst after a fortunate sequence of events involving a long cocktail nearby and then seeing a sidewalk sign for vegan wurst in a place that looked about as colorful and cheeky as we were feeling after the aforementioned cocktail... so naturally, we decided to head in. Plus, they had a Friday night beer special special that we were mighty interested in. Super clutch in order to keep our buzz going. Inside was packed to the brim with a mix of Deutsch hipsters and yuppies, which I rather enjoyed. It was one of the first places we went to where everyone seemed to be in about our same age range. Mandy and I ordered at the counter and split a vegan curry wurst, some chips, and a big-ass beer... that we drank with straws because we were just the right amount of drunk to want to pretend it was a malt shop milkshake. They have tongue-in-cheek art and sausage-related sayings on the wall along with a single television that played America's Funniest Home videos circa 1991. Niiiice. Our wurst was pretty darn good for a vegan sausage... just know that brats aren't served on buns here like in America... which we did not realize until after the fact. I loved the pototoes while my more health conscious dining partner steered clear. It wasn't enough of a meal for 2 people to split (not that it's intended to be split), but it was a decent-ish snack and I think it all came out to around 12 Euro with the special. Personally, I think I'd have to order two plates of wurst and side for myself in order to get full, but then again, I am an American and I do love me some hearty (and not-heart-healthy) portions.

We all LOVED this wonderful restaurant! The service, food, and ambience were all terrific. This was…read morethe highlight on our trip to Munich. We would definitely come back again and would highly recommend this place. Everything from the drinks, bread with special butters, soups, truffle pasta, chicken with a pastry top version of a chx pot pie and some other entrees were all terrific. The apple dessert did not disappoint either - yum ( need to order ahead to give it 25 mins or so ) First rate -don't miss this gem of a restaurant! . Thx you for a wonderful dinner! Enjoy

Pretty good restaurant. Really enjoyed the ambiance the most. Especially because it's away from all…read morethe touristy stuff. The amuse bouche was bread with two spread and a cold pea soup. The soup was refreshing and I really enjoyed it. The bread was good as well. One of the spreads was obazda dip which I love. I thought they made it ok. We started with the veal ravioli. They were tender and tasted pretty good. I had the restaurant special which was basically a chicken pot pie. I thought it was good but I've had better. I thought the chicken was over cooked and the capers inside was a bit off putting to me because there were so many and made the whole dish too sour for me. It was a bit off putting. My friend had the fillet with white asparagus and potatoes and hollandaise sauce. It was basic but I preferred her dish. The dessert had strawberry and tarragon I believe. It was well balanced, not too sweet, and I liked the herbs with the dessert. They also had a nice drink menu and a good variety of wines. They did not let us try the wine before pouring it which I expected since this is a nice place. Overall thought the service was decent but not great.
