We came here because our first choice restaurant was quite full, and this was fairly close to our hotel. It is a presentable restaurant, good atmosphere, great service and was almost full with diners. We wanted a light supper, however most of the items we ordered had issues. We both wanted bruschetta and ordered the pomodoro and bufala. Both dishes had bread with burnt black crusts. The lasagna was a mess of cheese with no real definition to the actual lasagna. The only dish that was very tasty was the Bella Vista Salad. The chicken was tender and the dressing was flavorful. We didn't try the pizza and maybe that would have redeemed the meal, but based on what we were given, this restaurant needs to improve their meal prep. read more

This was easily one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. From the moment we walked in, the staff seemed uninterested and unfriendly. We waited nearly 30 minutes just to place our order, despite the restaurant not being particularly busy. Every time we tried to get a server's attention, they ignored us or pretended not to hear. It was beyond frustrating. When we finally did manage to call someone over, the waiter was rude and acted like we were an inconvenience. And when we politely brought this up to the manager, we were met with even more attitude. The manager was completely dismissive and didn't seem to care at all about our concerns. After all that, the food wasn't even worth the wait--it was bland and disappointing. If you're looking for a place where you're treated like an annoyance rather than a customer, then this is it. Business travelers, this business will decline to take a card. Apparently there is a 25 euro minimum, but there was never that reminder, only a "no" to the question, "do you take credit card?" Either way, I would have expected correct information from the cashier, who is the one who told me they couldn't take the card. I would have purchased extra items if I had been told there was a minimum. Next time, maybe ask about the situation instead of assuming ignorance or wrongdoing on the part of the customer. We liked this establishment so well, we visited twice. After a while, you get tired of German food and this is an excellent choice for Italian food that's a block from the main train station. Actually loved this place. I may be biased because of every other place that I've eaten for the past five days has been subpar. Can't actually say if the pasta was housemaid or if it was dry but it was Al dente enough. I had the seafood Pescatore with a light butter and garlic sauce. Very nicely prepared. Added a mixed green salad with house dressing and the house dressing was very good and not salty nor was the lettuce overdressed. The only issue was the red onions a plenty! They were a little strong which means they were cut earlier today. Sad that I didn't have room to eat some dessert can't remember my servers name but she was excellent. It felt crowded, little tables crowded to get as many people in as possible, the waiter was constantly disturbing us to pass and reach the 4 seats places, we were so close to the others that we could basically attend their conversation ...from this point of view, if it's crowded, I will not go back there, unless I can enjoy the nice 4 seats places. Only giving it two stars because the food is somewhat decent, though could be gotten elsewhere for a lower price. Had I known that it was basically the 'olive garden' of Munich, I would have never bothered. What was completely awful was the service. It is incredibly and unforgivably clear that they want you in and out, ASAP. The servers don't engage at all. Their English is perfect, until you request something that they don't feel like dealing with. We even tried to order dessert and the waiters, who clearly understood us perfectly, pretended not to and essentially said 'no' and then brought us our check. Two of them. Even worse is that the manager or whoever he was (guy with the scary beard/goatee/whatever it was) is blatantly abusive to his staff. The whole nine yards: snapping fingers, clapping in their faces, yelling, stomping, total hissy fits. He even went off on a guy at the table behind us for having his chair turned to face the street (not blocking or impeding anything at all). It was so, so uncomfortable the entire time we were there (on our honeymoon, by the way). We were very nice and polite the whole time, as we have both been servers before and understand how the industry works. There was no excuse for how this place was running. Please, for the love of God, DO NOT support this place. And if you MUST, they have a take out counter so you can get your mediocre food to go and not have to deal with the...ahem...staff. read more

Spent a few days in Munich at the hostel across the street so I went here because it was very convenient. Had the pasta with salmon, zucchini, and cream dill sauce. Literally the best pasta I've ever had. I went another time a couple of nights later and the pasta was very very good, just not as amazing as the cream pasta as per personal preference. Also got the garlic bread with cheese, LOADED with garlic. I love garlic so I loved it but if you're not a huge fan, I'd suggested the regular bread basket. My only dislike is the lack of a host on busy nights. I've yet to see a host in a German restaurant but this place gets really busy as per my Friday and Sunday night visit and it obviously got extremely hectic because of it. Slow service, obviously due to understaffing. I'd suggest pacing the seating more because the server I had, same one both nights, seemed extremely overwhelmed both times. Love love loved the food, I had to talk myself out of going a third time because I'm in Bavaria and should try some Bavarian food :) Will come again when in Munich and craving some amazing pasta read more

This family run Italian restaurant is a real deal! Price are super reasonable and cheap for the quality they give you! I come to Munich every year and this is the place I eat every year. Bread: Nice and hot and you can taste they make the dough themselves. Taste a little bit like the pizza base. Food: Seafood strew, a big one that could feed 2-3 persons, just charge you at €19.95 so reasonably cheap and it's really tasty and authentic. Spaghetti Vongoli, cramps are tasty fresh and spaghetti is home made. Many more food we've tried over the past years and I'm lazy to tell you more, just try this out and I won't fool you. read more

Strictly a food review sitting in the restaurant: We ordered a Tagliatelle pollo e funghi and the spinach ravioli. I'm 98% sure the chicken in the Tagliatelle was canned, having eaten my fair share of canned chicken as a child. It was extremely dry and flakey. Not what I was expecting in a 9€ dish. I was happy the tagliatelle itself was fresh-rolled pasta, but it definitely needed to be put through the roller a few more times. Even for tagliatelle it was way too thick and as such, didn't cook well. Ravioli dish was good, but unfortunately the ravioli wasn't drained completely so it watered down the sauce. Wasn't a bad experience, just disappointing because it looked so good in the window walking by. We probably should have ordered pizza, it looked more consistently good. read more

Das Bitter Lemon wurde uns in Rechnung gestellt. Als Mahlzeit bestellte mein Sohn sich ein "scharfes" Spaghetti Aglio e Olio, ausdrücklich ohne tierische Zutaten. Bekommen hat er eine Pasta Aglio e Olio mit Fleischstücken. Als er das reklamieren wollte, meinte der Kellner nur, er könne die Fleischstücke doch von der Pasta nehmen. Da wir fast eine Stunde auf unser Essen warten mussten, hat mein Sohn dann einfach aufgegeben und die Pasta nicht gegessen. Auch diese wurde uns in Rechnung gestellt. Auf das Brot, was wir vorweg bestellt hatten, mussten wir über eine halbe Stunde warten. Uns wurde nichts als Entschädigung angeboten und ich würde diesen Laden niemandem weiterempfehlen wollen. Unfortunately we didn't get to eat here... My family and I walked in and it smelled wonderful and we were excited to eat at a restaurant conveniently attached to our hotel. We asked if any gluten free options were available due to my father having celiac disease and therefore a serious wheat allergy. The man we were speaking to immediately said "no, only steak" - and since we assumed it was just a language barrier we exclaimed "that would be great! We love steak!" But the man we were talking to shook his head and said "there's a Pizza Hut down the street you can try" and showed no effort to offer us any kind of service or show any interest whatsoever in our business. We were all very disappointed as we would have liked to enjoy dinner here and my father usually is fine with meat and salad if my mum and I have our hearts set on pizza or pasta. If you don't like a stuffy attitude this is probably not the place for you. They are also certainly not sensitive to people with any gluten issues even if they have money to spend on other things. I am still so surprised as I am not offended easily but this was just so bizarre and disappointing I had to say something about it.
