We went here for dinner because our dining companion wanted to try their gluten free pizza. We ate the Pizza Casa and she had a gluten free pizza. We also had the Rucola Salad with tomatoes. Very simple but delicious. Our pizza was very good and she said that the gluten free pizza tasted was really good and tasted like a regular pizza. My wife and I were craving Italian food one night in Munich, and stopped in to Vi Vadi Rustico for dinner. We got there before the dinner rush began, and luckily didn't need a reservation. The ambiance of the restaurant is nicely put together and it compliments the food well. There is a beautiful pizza oven and bar that is visible to the majority of the dining room. The service is great; the staff is very attentive and are multi-lingual. The menu is extensive and can be a bit overwhelming if you're starving, as everything is mouth-watering, but it's full of great options, including, pasta, risotto, meat, fish, and pizza. There is also a healthy beverage menu including wine, beer, liquor, coffee, and non-alcoholic options. We had the carpaccio and bruschette to start, and the tagliatelle con ragu alla bolognese and pasta al forno for our entrees, with a bottle of Lambrusco. The food was absolutely delicious and the portions are sized correctly. I was pleasantly surprised with our experience at Vi Vadi Rustico. Fantastico. Authentic Italian food (we just came from several days in Italian) including Italian and Sicilian staff. Great ambience indoors...like in Italy. They made to go for me and my teenage son today. We will eat at the restaurant tomorrow. Manager even helped me with Italian which I appreciate and gave my growing son extra sauce, cheese and bread. read more

Really really great food! I have the Bruschetta and Tomato Soup. My wife had the Margherita Pizza. It was done really fast and tasted great. Italian and German spoken here. So I felt very comfortable English is good here too. Very friendly service. Lovely restaurant. If it's hot I suggest to sit outside. Inside is beautiful but very warm. Prices are good. We used yelp to find thiS place. Off the beaten path and very local. It is very small so tables are at a premium. The food was amazing. My husband had lasagna. Not your American lasagna. It has a light tomato cream sauce. So delicious. It comes vegetarian but he got meat, he was full and yet couldn't stop eating. I got mixed ravaoli with olive oil. Perfect portion. We didn't order the antipasto because we saw the food portions but it looked amazing. All made to order. We watched them slice everything. They have wine and dessert. We went to Vi Vadi Rustico because we wanted an alternative to the German/Bavarian menus. Was very pleasantly surprised after I had seen previous lukewarm reviews. The dining experience here was great. Very good selection in the menu - from pizzas to various pasta dishes to meat and vegetarian dishes. We had a pizza with arugula, prosciutto, fresh tomatoes and fresh mozzarella and then a plate of spaghetti carbonara. Both were fantastic. Warning- the pizzas are huge; can be split between 3-4 people if you have additional dishes. The prices are very reasonable. read more

The food is topnotch and fresh. We had the potato soup, mixed green salad, pizza (one suggested by our server), and the mushroom risotto. Huge portions and authentically Italian. Had a glass of prosecco to start, beer with dinner, and a limoncello at the end. We took our time eating and drinking, and were usually deep in conversation. Our server took notice of our pace and timed our food perfectly. The cost (food plus drinks) was very reasonable. We would certainly eat here again and recommend this restaurant to others. read more

The food was very good. Had the penne arribiatta and it was just the right level of spicy. Only complaint, and it's minor, is that I ordered a salad which came out followed almost immediately by the main course. They should more time between courses. However, at no time did I feel rushed to leave. If you're in the area it's a great choice. read more
