The atmosphere was great loved the Italian conversations in the place. I had Branzini and it was cooked to perfection with a side of lovely vegetable a snd a great presentation! The beautiful pizza was flying out the hot fired oven when you walk in. They have nice bar you can sit at and they made a great Negroni. Had a tartuffo and cappuccino and it was delicious. Authentic and will not disappoint! Must try it! Reasonable price! Service excellent! Recommend read more

Do yourself a favor and go ahead and walk a little bit further to another Italian restaurant. The food here is not good. And not cheap. We definitely were looking for a break from Bavarian food and this was right around the corner from the Hofbrauhaus. I wish we would have kept walking. The pizza is horrendous and the only thing that appeared to have any sauce other than tomato was the carbonara. The carbonara was so good but it was not cheap. The service was not pleasant and combine that with our most expensive meal in Munich... definitely not a good spot. Wish we could have skipped this place altogether. read more

We were looking for a good Italian restaurant while working in Munich. Best choice we made was walking in the door. The staff, from Tuscany, were friendly knowledgeable of their offerings. Languages German, Italian, English some French and Spanish supported. Home made sauce was the best I've had outside of Italy. They really take pride in their food. Well stocked bar, and lengthy wine or beer selections. If you are in Munich and have a desire to try Italian food this is the place. read more

They have a great prix fixe menu to celebrate their 20th anniversary. The ravioli is awful, though. Very thick dough, creamy gloppy sauce, I couldn't eat it. The mixed fish grill is a winner, clean plate club. The tiramisu was served with a gooseberry on top which tickled me pink. Red and white checker tablecloth. read more

We happened to be in the area for markets and decided to pop in for a pizza. It is a nice big restaurant with loads of tables on two levels. It's was not busy when we got there but many people arrived shortly after. The place positions itself as a pizza place however the menu has a ton of other pastas, meat and fish dishes as well. They also have a daily specials board with a handful of dishes. I ordered the Pizza Diavola and I often order this pizza in new places (if it's on their menu) to compare one place to another. I also ordered a side mixed salad. Our waiter was courteous and friendly and quick to respond. The pizza arrived and looked appetizing and I was expecting a great tasting pizza. I have to admit whilst the taste was ok the crust was a bit too chewy and soft for my liking. The salad was also ok but again loaded with dressing that lacked seasoning. All in all an ok place to eat at and I would probably come back here again if I happen to be in this part of town. I do however feel that you can get much better pizzas in the area. read more

Good, traditional-Italian style pizzas. Made my boys very happy after several days of wurst. Eggless dough a plus for those of us with allergies. My Chicken Caesar was fresh and pretty good, though dressing was a unusual vs my American expectations of a Caesar. Bit stuffy inside on a hot day, though this is always a problem for us since sidewalk seating can be tight for a party of 5. read more

Outstanding food. I loved my lasagna and the house salad. The service was great too. Bread is not standard but they will give you bread if you ask for it. The location couldn't be better and the ambiance was nice. read more

Speaking from experience- ate here three times while in Munich. I sampled from the specials, the homemade standard pasta menu as well as a pizza on my visits. This was very authentic food - melt in your mouth homemade pasta. The restaurant is small (although it also has an upstairs that I haven't seen). The food was filling and delicious - portions were healthy and well appreciated after long days on the go taking in the sights. The staff were polite and friendly. Able to speak English, German and Italian. I clearly enjoyed it enough to return. I did go to other restaurants in the area, but the experience here was solid and reliable during all of my visits there. read more

If you see La Valle from the outside, you might find it unimpressive but from the inside the restaurant is very nice and well-decorated. We were attracted to La Valle as we were in the hunt for a good spaghetti alla carbonara. Well, we went there and ordered a plate of carbonara and a plate of spaghetti alla napoletana. Both the items were delicious and the portions were good too. For desserts, we ordered tiramisu. While I thought it was quite good, my husband said that he had tasted better. The prices are on the higher side but given that the restaurant is in the most touristy corner of Munich (read Marianplatz), I can't complaint much. Overall the ambience, the food and the service is very good. We would certainly be coming back here over and over again. read more

Amazing La Valle!! Spaghetti Bolognese was fantastic, as was the mushroom risotto (gluten free and wonderfully flavored!). My kids loved the margherita pizza, too. Staff was friendly and helpful. Such a nice time! Rudy was so sweet and took great care of us. A great end to an eventful day! read more

We expected more than soggy pizza. If you know good italian food, this place will likely disappoint. My wires veal dish was OK - but the pizza I had was gross. That said, I like Wasabi pringles. read more

In an effort to avoid the crowded scene at Hofbrauhaus and duck out of the cold rain, we stumbled upon this little Italian place on our walk to Marienplatz. The place was surprisingly crowded for 4PM, and plenty of guests streamed in during our meal. The servers are super friendly here and speak English and provide English menus which is a huge plus. We ordered the penne pasta and the seafood pasta with Peroni. The seafood pasta was okay, they definitely were generous with the mussels, but I was hoping for a more assortment of seafood in my pasta as the menu described. The sauce was a standard tomato and garlic based sauce, but somehow it was not properly well seasoned. Overall it was an OK meal, although the pasta wasn't fantastic, the personal pizzas did look good and the other people in the restaurant seemed to enjoy their pizzas. read more

The atmosphere was great. We ate upstairs. The service was pretty good. After being in Italy before this trip, the food was just ok but it was good. I had the lasagna. My husband really enjoyed the pizza. read more

We stumbled upon this place trying to find dinner after a long day of traveling and not wanting to brave the overcrowded places like HRC and Hofbrauhaus (it was a Friday night in June - yikes!). La Valle was one of the few places open where it wasn't a 40 minute wait, and after having the pizza there, we could not understand why there wasn't a line out the door! The waiter was very understanding of our poor attempts at Italian and German, and recommended an excellent Chianti to go with our pizzas. We're so glad that we happened across La Valle! read more
