An amazing experience! It is in my top five meals. The food and service were perfect. I'll plan to return on my next visit. The lamb, veal, and trigger fish were excellent.

Excellent food, amazing service, fantastic ambiance. This place would be perfect for a business dinner or get together.... Maybe date night but it feels a bit less cozy for that. I had the braised beef and the pike ravioli. The beef was delicious, the pike was good but maybe not my favorite. My daughter tried a pasta dish (vegetarian) but it was quite salty and the restaurant removed it from our bill without being asked. Very classy German food place, can recommend if you are in Munich!

This restaurant was recommended to me by AMEX. Authentic German food with a modern twist. Everything from appetizer to dessert amazing. All guests happy including Robert.

This could very easily have been the best meal we ever had in Europe, and that includes several fabulous meals in Paris. Everything about our experience at Weinhaus Neuner was wonderful and memorable. Every person we met on their staff was friendly and efficient and comfortable to banter with. The food was creative and utterly delicious. Great wine list too. We started with an incredible Chestnut Cream soup, merged into the butter leaf lettuce salad then worked our way through the Viennese Veal Schnitzel and a Pike entree with potato dumplings. The schnitzel came with a side terrine of pan fried potatoes. The portions are huge! We took leftovers back and had lunch the next day. I really love this place and would definitely make it our first stop if and when we return.

SCHREIBEREI - Catfish

Came here because it was on the Michelin guide and had no one to go to Tohru with, so decided to do…read moreSchreiberei instead and it was amazing! They said they were just starting a tasting menu so I wanted to try it out for €75, with €14 per each glass of the paired white wine. The tasting menu was only in German though FYI if you can't read German. All the dishes were full of flavour! First course: oyster was delicious with the seasoning on top. Second course: vegetables and I think there was fish. I can't remember from the wine I had. But it was tasty with the sauce provided. Third course: main course and everything was so good! The garnished potatoes helped make the main course not too heavy with flavour. I liked the seafood paired with the sauce, as well as the breading that came with it. Even the bunch of lettuce was good which was nice. Final course: some pie with sorbet on top with yuzu-citrus flavour which was a refreshing way to end the meal. Overall, I would say it was worth the price point and got me full. The wine pairing was amazing as well and was definitely strong. Interior is nice and elegant and my waitress was perfect, accommodating for English since I am not confident speaking in German. Those who serve you the food though do describe the dishes in German FYI. The tasting menu is a new concept too, so I believe they'll change it up every so often and it's worth a try if you're in the Marienplatz area!
