Very nice interior! Perfect coworking space for my aesthetic. The latte wasn't sweet nor very flavorful so I actually prefer the chai latte at Starbucks iykyk. I wanted to try this one bcus the cinnamon and cinnamon stick were unique and sounded delicious. At the bottom you could taste it more. The cashier also didn't say there was an extra charge for milk and I hate manipulative sales. If you're going to ask a guest if they want a list of something you need to inform that they're extra or add-ons. I won't return.
Very cute place. I love how innovative their drinks are, but it's definitely a splurge. $5 for something that I can finish in 2-3 sips. Don't get me wrong, it's definitely worth it. My friend treated me to it, but still a splurge. I highly recommend the Oh-A. I think the second one we got was the pine cone - pretty good, but I have a personal bias for something more refreshing (aka OH-A).
They have to find a better carryout for hot drinks...i was missing a quarter of my sweet potato latte. Such a bummer cause it was fantastic to the taste 9/10. Also wished they offered a bigger size considering the cost. Crunchy corn latte lived up to it's name! Finally a corn infused drink that actually tastes like corn! I absolutely enjoyed the crunchy corn that stayed crunchy all day10/10!!! My oh my! I do take the whole day to finish my drinks lol...always on the lookout for new coffee and cafe. Wish it was closer to get too though. The ube cloud Coconut water was good and I am glad i opted for no ice. Ube doesn't taste artificial! UBE FOR THE WINNNNN. Without the ice it is perfectly balanced as far as sweetness goes. 10/10 cant wait to go back and try other yummy looking options and hopefully they have baked goods.
Came here for the Coffee Omakase and it was SUCH a fun experience. My husband and I have slightly different tastes when it comes to coffee, and we were each allowed to pick separate options off of the menu for each course which was really nice. We sat at the bar top and got to watch our barista prepare each drink. She was so nice and knowledgeable about the whole menu and had a lot of information to share, but she also gave my us time to sip our drinks and discuss them amongst ourselves. It was a great balance of being able to have an interactive experience with the barista but also being able to casually enjoy our afternoon espressos quietly with each other. Your final drink of choice is served in a larger size and given to-go, so you can continue having your treat even after the experience wraps up. The drinks themselves were so unique and wildly different from one another. I was initially pretty skeptical about an espresso with lemon and peach but it ended up being my favorite one. My only complaint is their base espresso on it's own was one of the more bitter ones I have tried, but mixed into their drinks it was great. I couldn't recommend this experience more highly. I had such a fun time, no part of it felt rushed, I thoroughly enjoyed every part. They even have the option to make the drinks from the Omakase menu decaf if you're trying to limit your caffeine, which is a really nice touch. I will definitely be back!
Given the overwhelmingly positive reviews, I was really excited to try the omakase experience. The space was clean and inviting, although a little loud. The service did not match the $150 price point. Our barista seemed fairly new and provided almost no explanation of the drinks, including their names, ingredients, or what made each one unique. I had to repeatedly ask questions, which took away from what should have felt like a guided tasting experience. I understand that everyone has to start somewhere, but for an experience at this price, I expected more knowledgeable and engaging service. The desserts were beautifully made, but several of the sweeter drinks and desserts were overwhelmingly sweet. The final Earl Grey drink and the panna cotta were especially difficult to finish. I rarely leave dessert behind, but I could only manage a few bites. Overall, the experience was not bad, but it felt subpar for the price, and I did not feel that I received the full value of the omakase.
Came back for Gute Leute's omakase. Second visit was just as fun and memorable as the first! Still some original options but also plenty of new ones. The service was great (even offered to replace some drinks to experience alternative options) and espresso was well balanced. I wish they could do more with experimenting between various coffee origins, but maybe that's not the point. It's more of a mixology than a coffee experience, but you will not leave disappointed!
Gute Leute was close to my hotel and a nice cafe to wait a little before leaving for the airport. My first impression is the staff is friendly and the space is big, there are plenty of tables, but it was very busy on the Sunday afternoon I came in. I ordered a pink salted caramel latte and it was as delicious as it sounds, made with a quality espresso. I sipped on it slowly at a table of one and noticed a lot of other people slowing down to enjoy their coffee inside, so it would be nice if they used ceramic mugs for those staying in. Another thing I noticed is they have an omokase experience, which looked amazing! Definitely worth stopping in.
When I heard this was the only and very popular Korean-style specialty coffee shop in Arlington, I had to give it a try. Unfortunately, the quality fell short of expectations. The Vietnamese milk latte was disappointing. Where was the cafe sua da flavor? It lacked the balanced deep, dark coffee bitterness and instead tasted mostly like condensed milk, making it way too sweet. The corn latte was average as well. That said, the service was good, and the space itself is nice for studying, working, or catching up with friends.
Apparently Gute Leute is German for good people. Which truly embodies this shop. Good people making cute coffee drinks. The space is convenient and has a decent amount of seating. Also if the line is too long for the register, you can order at the kiosk. The lattes here are amazing. Definitely designs can vary depending on your barista, but I've been here a couple of times and one of my favorites is the pistachio latte. Good nutty flavor and love the actual pistachio on top. The chestnut latte is also a good option. It's on the sweeter side but a nice nutty carmely flavor.
Amazing coffee every time! While the crunch corn cream latte is my favorite go-to drink, there is not a single item I have tried that I would not get again. It was my first time trying this cafe, there's parking around the corner for total wine, but the elevator brings you to the cafe! The service was good, but by the time I got there around 2 pm, most of the pastries were gone and all of the savory items were sold out. I was hoping for more brunch items but had to stick with mochi. The cashier, TL, recommended the white mochi but the green one was herbal and top tier, not too sweet either. Both had red bean inside. The matcha was ok. Not the creamiest or the best but still a nice color. It's a good space to telework, study or catch up with friends. Theres limited seating so come prepared.
We did the coffee omakase experience today as a birthday experience for my husband and absolutely loved it. We did the best of 2025 tasting as well as the Five Frames tasting and it's clear how much thought is put into the tastings. The only thing I found meh about the experience was the food/bite pairings. But overall, this was SO Fun, SO tasty, and I love that the menu is ever changing. Our barista did an amazing job with explaining the drinks, pacing us, and helping us make decisions on drinks. Overall, I absolutely loved the experience and cannot wait to return to try their regular menu items.
Pulled up to the leute. You can order on the kiosk or with the person at the counter. Plenty of seating inside. I got an iced matcha latte with oat milk and it was perfect! They have an omakase which i want to try but for a quick in and out, it's a great spot in Ballston!

i stopped by gute leute, and right from the start i noticed it had a very upscale feel. from the interior decor to the seating arrangement and overall vibe, everything felt thoughtful, pleasant, and clean. what really blew me away was the menu, it featured such unique combinations that i honestly wanted to try everything. i opted for the maple latte, and it was truly one of the best coffees i've ever had. from the sweet maple cold foam to the perfect ice texture, it was an incredible cup of coffee. i honestly wish i lived closer to this café. the service was also quite quick and reasonable, it was about 5 to 10 minutes to get my drink. just a note: there are plenty of seats inside and bathrooms are available as well. read more
We came here for the Omakase experience and it was so much fun! We tried the best of 2024 one and it was 5 courses of coffee- and it came with decaf options so you don't get overwhelmed with caffeine! Our favorites were the Oh-a and the tea options. This coffee bar is really dedicated to great coffee drinks, Korean inspired flavors, and good quality experiences.The coffee omakase experience is a 10/10 and must do! Great service overall. The most beautiful coffee creations at the ground floor of the Accenture building. I couldn't decide what I wanted so I ordered two and I have zero regrets! The signature Gute Leute is a whole vibe and a perfect little treat. The Dubai chocolate latte was so good! Not my normal order but loved it all the same. A good amount of indoor seating but not the most comfortable. read more
The only negative I can write about is that I was unable to get an omasake reservation Gute Leute actually has adequate seating! I liked that you can place an order at the counter and a kiosk, although the kiosk doesn't allow you to add food to your order. Drinks are delicious! Even though it was crowded inside, I was still able to hold a conversation and didn't feel like I had to yell. read more
5/5 Corn Crunch Latte Absolutely loved this drink! The corn crunch flavor was unique, nutty, and perfectly balanced not too sweet, with a rich, comforting taste. Every sip was smooth and satisfying, and the latte was beautifully made. Definitely a must try. 4/5 Pistachio Latte This latte was good, but a little too sweet for my taste. The pistachio flavor was rich and creamy, but the sweetness overpowered it slightly. Still enjoyable overall, just not my top pick. Overall Great drinks with thoughtful flavors and cozy vibes perfect for trying something new and satisfying your coffee cravings! Service was quick and drinks were made in timely manner. Tried the 2024 omakase (~$40) and it was a fun experience. This included everything from normal espresso to yuzu, peach sorbet, cacao, and lemon combos. The drinks are quite sugary and I'm not as keen on citrus and espresso pairings; that being said, the presentation is exciting and interactive. I appreciate the number of beverages they offer and the option to customize if you're dairy free. You don't feel rushed and you certainly don't leave thirsty. Definitely a bucket list experience that I'm glad to check off! read more
Patiently waited a year for a new omakase menu. Their signature drinks were too citrusy for my taste so I was excited for their 1st anniversary omakase menu. Parking was a breeze at 10am on a weekday, they even gave a $4 discount on the check to cover parking fees. Nieve - such pretty presentation, the coconut milk was yummy and I could've drank the whole thing by itself. After mixing the chocolate sauce and coffee in, it kind of reminded me of hot cocoa on a snowy day. The chocolate sauce was a little thick and grainy. Consuming this was a bit awkward because of the powdered sugar flying around and having to slurp up the berries on top of the drink. Midnight soleil - I was excited for this one the most, I was surprised it was warm! The mango bits were tart and not quite ripe, not sure if that was intended. But the drink was smooth and not acidic. It was less sweet than expected, I enjoyed the flavor pairing. Arctic noir - I admit I was quite full by this drink, which was more like a dessert. They did a great job with the ice cream, it was creamy and had flecks of vanilla bean. The non-alcoholic whiskey syrup smelled exactly like whiskey and was super sweet. I enjoyed the texture of the coffee caviar, similar to lychee jelly. I'm surprised they didn't serve this last since it was the sweetest. I would switch the order of the arctic noir and mojito vin chaud. Mojito vin Chaud - I love mojitos but this tasted more like warm berry juice with a splash of coffee. Supposed to be reminiscent of mulled wine, but the smoked cinnamon stick flavor was not coming out. The combination of mint, watery grape juice, and coffee was neither offensive nor particularly pleasant. I did not finish this drink. By this point I was tweaking very hard on caffeine. Honey grapefruit black tea - love that it came to go. Very pretty color and presentation, but the black tea flavor was weaker than the grapefruit. The sugar/honey tasted a little like aspartame/zero calorie sweetener which I didn't like. Overall, 10/10 for creativity but minus a star for some of the execution and service. Confused why they didn't take away any of my finished drinks, I ended up having an ugly pile of used cups on the side. read more

An excellent space with both indoor and outdoor seating and plenty of room for working remotely, but still not overly busy at 11 on a Monday morning. We got the cheesecake bread, which was reminiscent of the Japanese cheesecake I've had abroad-- lightly sweet and very tender-textured. We also got the black sugar latte iced, with the cream cap-- which was a nice contrast between the stronger coffee flavor and the cream-- and the lavender latte, which was a good, standard lavender latte (not overly sweet, but not overly floral). I have gotten coffee here twice now and both the drinks I got were delicious. They have a wide selection of lattes to choose from and some non-coffee drinks that you can add an espresso shot to. I have gotten the Pink Salted Caramel Cream latte which I was told is their most popular but it pales in deliciousness to the Ferrero latte which is essentially a dessert disguised as coffee. I am excited to go back and try all the other lattes on the menu. read more

The coffee "omakase" was unique for sure...although it seems like many places are calling things "omakase" for the trend. However the service was not great when I went. Maybe because they were busy but it was definitely rushed with quickly dropping off the drinks and then leaving. The coffee shop itself was modern with bright lights which felt very welcoming. I'd return again but just for a regular drink, not the omakase. read more

A very modern, spacious, and pretty cafe with a unique selection of coffee and drinks that can't be found anywhere else. Any time I come here the drinks are always great and so flavorful- there hasn't been one that I didn't enjoy! My favorite is their chestnut latte, and their mango bingsoo is beautiful and they pack it with a surprising amount of mango. The pastries aren't much to write home about though, only worth getting if you need a bite to eat. A great spot for a special experience and definitely recommend! read more

The coffee omakase at Gute Leute was truly one of the most memorable culinary experiences I've had in the DMV and I can't recommend it enough for coffee lovers looking for something off the beaten path. Gute Leute currently offers two omakase options- the First Anniversary ($42 per person) and the Best of 2024 ($39). The two menus do not have any overlap, so you can have a totally different experience with each. We opted for the First Anniversary menu, which included four prepared drinks, a welcome espresso shot, and a final parting drink you took with you to go. The to-go drink is the only one you have to choose; everything else is pre-set. When you arrive for the experience, there's a bar-like setup just to the right of the counter where you order; our reserved seats were right there. These were unlike any coffee drinks I've ever had before- they reminded me more of cocktails in how they were crafted artistically and the different ingredients used. There are so many different techniques, tastes, and textures employed, and the drinks themselves varied so widely, from a latte-like concoction that came in a martini glass (our favorite, the Midnight Soleil) to a course that included vanilla ice cream with coffee "caviar" and nonalcoholic whiskey-flavored syrup poured over it. We had a dedicated barista who guided us through the whole experience and explained each beverage and its preparation to us as they were made in front of us- it was so cool to see her working and see how the drinks came together. I've honestly never had espresso like this and it was amazing to see how different the profile of each drink was. I thought it was nice that they also offered a last drink to go so you can keep the experience going even after you leave. We ordered one of each, and while both options were great (the Honey Grapefruit Black Tea and the Earl Grey Glow), we loved the Honey Grapefruit Black Tea the most. This was truly such a fun and unique experience that was well worth the price. I also came back a few weeks after the omakase for the honey grapefruit tea- their to-go menu is just as expansive and offers more interesting options. read more

I'll keep it short--this wasn't a great experience. The matcha was underwhelming, especially for the price (about $7), and tasted more like milk than actual matcha. The shop itself is cute and has a nice vibe, but when I asked if anything could be done about the drink, I was told they couldn't help. Very popular coffee shop with specialty drinks and a coffee omakase! Their lattes are super rich and creamy without being too sweet. I personally like the Heavy Lavender Latte but they also have unique specialties like the Crunch Corn Cream Latte and Chestnut Cream Latte. I was a little hungry when I last visited so I also tried the bacon and cheese pastry and was pleasantly surprised - I wasn't expecting much but it was nice and flaky and was the perfect breakfast treat. We also got the mille crepe cake which was pretty standard. Great place to work on the weekdays as there's ample seating and it's very bright and open. However, it definitely gets very busy on weekends so it can be hard to nab a table. read more
Popped in while in the area. My matcha was good. I got it with sugar free hazelnut syrup and oat milk. I also picked up a bacon egg cheese pastry, which was fantastic! Pricing was on par with the area. There is an ample amount of seating and the atmosphere was inviting. There are also tables outside, too. There is a kiosk for ordering or you can go to the counter instead. I wasnt awake of their coffee omakase but will definitely return to try that out in the future! read more

I had to return for their seasonal corn latte and it is so good! The crunchy corn on top is the perfect note. I could stand to have a little more corn flavor in the drink, but it's very good and I was so satisfied. I'll keep an eye out for more of their seasonal drinks in the future! I love the care that goes into the drinks and how good it is for working (loads of seating and tables for solo people trying to read or get work done). read more
I was lucky enough to get a reservation to celebrate the Gute Leute one year anniversary Coffee Omakase experience. And this was truly an exceptional experience which I have never had before, and I cannot wait to experience again. Each and every course with the Coffee Omakase has been carefully and skilfully curated to present coffee or espresso in the most unique of ways; not just with its presentation but also with the flavour profiles. There were five courses offered during this experience, and Sarah (the Barista that led the omakase experience) did an exceptional job at not only preparing each coffee course - but also talking us through the thought process behind the concept behind each unique drink. It's extremely difficult for me to decide on which of the five courses was my favourite, because they were literally ALL amazing. But the ones that stood out the most to me were the Nieve (inspired by the calm and beauty of a snowy morning) & the Arctic Noir (which have amazing vanilla ice cream with coffee caviar and cinnamon scented clouds ). read more

I bought an Ube matcha latte and Vietnamese coffee for the drinks, and a macaroon and chocolate cookies. This is the first store that all four items I got are all bad. Very disappointed with the quality of food. read more
My friend and I did the coffee omakase and the experience was insane! It was nothing like what I expected. I genuinely loved every drink they made for us. All the flavor components were so unique and surprisingly worked well with the coffee. The omakase was a great experience, and if you're a coffee lover, it's definitely worth the try. Overall you end up drinking 6 or 7 cups of coffee, so be prepared for a caffeine overload! read more

Tried their affogato and it was more ice cream than I expected but soo good! It was a great afternoon treat. The space is nice and plenty of chairs to sit (I sat at the bar). Service was friendly and super quick. Definitely worth trying! read more
Cute spot in Ballston for coffee. There aren't a ton of good coffee shops in the area so this was a great find. I had an iced latte with oat milk and it was very good. I enjoyed the tiny ice cubes they use. Decor was super cute and aesthetically pleasing. Service was prompt and friendly. I did not dine in, but I saw they had some tasty looking pastries and Korean treats. Parking is terrible in the area, I suggest walking if nearby. read more

Enjoy coming here, friendly staff and fun drinks! I have a gluten allergy and would be careful with their toppings, seems that they use cookies to top drinks with. They have the option to order at the counter or a kiosk, I use the counter to ask questions and ensure there aren't any surprises. read more

DRINKS We had their chai and pink salted caramel lattes. Both were light yet creamy and not too sweet-- absolutely delicious! I'm excited to check out their other drink options on our next visit. SERVICE We ordered by kiosk but guests can also order at the front. AMBIANCE 10-15 tables are available in the store but fill up very quickly. The Wi-fi password is available at the front. BATHROOMS Two single bathrooms are available. Both are clean and tidy. PARKING Limited street parking is available, but we visited by metro. read more
First timer and immediately impressed. I tried the Butterscotch Cream Latte and an almond filled croissant. Both delicious but that latte? Wow. It wasn't just aesthetically pleasing it actually tasted so good. Didn't taste too strong with the espresso shot in it but also wasn't too sweet. Great balance. It is very lively, I went around 11am. They have a nice space inside and outdoor seating which was perfect for a warm day like today. The staff were also very friendly and attentive. Gute Leute Coffee Bar is one of the most popular coffee bars in Korea, known for its own unique signature creations. I enjoyed the black sugar latte, bold flavor and sweet. I also ordered the Oh-A which is dine-in only, made with sorbet and espresso. Both were delicious, I can't wait to try the mango matcha latte next. The presentation of the drinks are amazing and the desserts look delicious. Can't wait to come back. Prices are decent. There is a garage parking available. And the staff are really nice and helpful. They have plenty of seating available if you want to get some work done. read more

Oh this is my spot right here. I must say, you have to perfect your order with each visit but it's definitely worth it! I love the lavender coffee with whole milk and sugar. They're pricey, but it's giving Starbucks but Asian lol. I love the ambiance and the service. It's very modern and chic looking inside the cafe with plenty of seating inside and outside. Many people have their laptops so I'm assuming they have free Wi-Fi. I go here at least twice a week. read more

What a fun experience! Get reservations if you can. There's only 8 seats at the bar where you can order the special and/or signature course. Service and ambiance were great! I hated the stools at the bar, very wobbly and I felt smooshed next to other customers. Every coffee drink was a work of art & science. Our server walked us through each drink and it was so fun to try everything. I recommend get both menus between two people and share if that's comfortable for you. read more

Is it baby/kid friendly?
It can be. The last time I was there, there were a couple groups with strollers. If it's extremely busy and packed, it might be a tight squeeze though.
Do they offer the omakase in decaf?
According to their instagram person, they do offer it in decaf. Enjoy!
