I stopped here again yesterday while at the Rochester Airport, waiting on my airplane to go back to Jacksonville Florida. They didn't have my favorite Italian meatball soup. But they did have spicy chili, which was also amazing. I have decided that I'm probably never going to eat anything here other than soup and chili. It's all so good. My pain of this place has not changed. It's still a great place especially a good food restaurant in an airport is kind of unheard of especially in a small airport as Rochester! Patrick always is involved in day-to-day activities and make sure everything is just right! I had the potato knish chicken soup and the Panini and it was excellent! We'll definitely come back. Pretty good place within the ROC airport just past security on your right. Menu options are pretty nice, I had the Cajun burger and it was good. Didn't taste too much Cajun seasoning but it was a nice burger albeit. Very large drink selection so if you're stuck or flight delayed, plenty of options. Service was eh - not expecting to be blown away but slight attention to the pair of guests that arrive every hour wouldn't hurt. Good for what it is, airport option outside of fast food. read more

My expectations for airport dining are pretty low, as my typical experience is high prices, curt service, and mediocre food. Right off the bat I was pleasantly impressed with the friendly service I received at Gusto. My standard cheeseburger with lettuce and tomato was nothing spectacular, but it was served fresh and hot on a unique ciabatta bun. There are standard food court style dining tables, but also some cute lounge spaces for sipping coffee "inside" the restaurant. At $16.69 for a burger (no sides, no condiments) and Arnold Palmer, it is no value, but might be one of the better limited options at ROC. read more

i stopped in here for a quick lunch bite before my flight. the decor is woodsy comfort. i sat down at a table near an outlet, there's plenty everywhere. i ordered a mocha latte and the high flying turkey sandwich. service was quick as they weren't busy. the bread were nicely toasted. the coffee was. ice and rich, i had asked to lessen the sugar which they did. it's decent for an airport. i think we're all in agreement when it comes to food joints at an airport it's just an automatic one star docked compared. to local establishments. i would come here again if i fly through. Jim G and I did not order any food here, so bear that in mind. As our flight out of Rochester was delayed multiple times, we felt it was high time for a drink (or a few). This was one of the only places there and it might have been the only one with drinks (not 100% sure, though). Anyhow, there is a wide range of cocktail selection to look at, as well as about a dozen beers (all in cans, no draft system). The "menu" consisted of stuff written on the chalkboard or multiple pieces of graph paper with handwritten names of spirits, beer, etc. safely stowed in plastic cover sheets. Felt like we were going back in time! We enjoyed our beer and the gentlemen helping us, who looked a bit gruff, was super kind and helpful. We got all that we needed. read more

Counterperson was not the most pleasant- as she stood sipping out of her Stanley while taking my order-- only has one person making food - the people next to me have been waiting over 20 minutes for their sandwich. Needed to grab a quick dinner before catching a flight home, I looked around at the typical restaurants in an airport, and saw nothing special. Looked at Gusto's overhead menu, and what caught my eye immediately was "Homemade Sauce" for their meatball panini. Top notch service with a smile. The staff is very gunienely kind and served me up a nice cold Rohrbach's Scotch Ale (local specialty) before my flight. I also grabbed a turkey panini to-go, which came with a complimentary chocolate chip cookie because "moms need to be taken care of too." I always seem to miss them on my way out since they close early and aren't open on weekends, but I'm glad I finally got to stop by. Writing a review for my wife who had me try a bite of both her panini and minestrone soup. The panini was miserable. My bite was overly spiced and tasted of moldy basil. It was soggy and the meat was flavorless and bitter. The soup was worse. If you take a look from my photo it doesn't look anything like a minestrone should. Who expects a "great" dining experience in an airport?! Especially a small airport like ROC??!!! Well, if you are looking for great food, great full bar selection, and great service, Gusto's is the place to come. I'd come here even if I wasn't at an airport (and I'm picky as hell when it comes to dining!) What airport place - or many place outside the airport have homemade sauces and salad dressings anymore?? Well, they do! I ordered cheese ravioli with the vegetarian red sauce (homemade sauce) and it was a good ravioli and the red sauce was fresh, light, not oiky at all, plus had tears of fresh Basil- who does that at am airport - right??!!!! The homemade Ceasar dressing was great too, and lettuce very fresh. Choices of wine, beer, and spirits- especially spirits is outstanding for any place, and ridiculously amazing for an airport. Sorry I keep harping on the "small airport" thing, but really, who could imagine??!!! OK - so they serve food in to-go boxed (bot my first choice, but, hey, it's an airport- and with the generous ravioli serving, it was easy and quick to take the rest with me. (That's how good it was folks- I wanted to take it with me!!!) So, I'm sorry I can't speak for any of the other food, but what I saw looked good. Service was great, like you want from an independently owner eatery. I'm glad I'm coming back here for biz, and will no longer feel "stuck" in ROC, as long as Gusto is open! read more

Holy smokes. Had his bean and spinach soup and it's the best soup I've had in over a year eating out. Came off the plane feeling nauseous and this settled me right down. This is an over priced quick serve restaurant that I used to frequent every three weeks while traveling. I always got the turkey club but noticed I had an upset stomach after eating when I got home. Not sure if the turkey is old or overly processed but I stopped going there. Also for the price, the portions are very small. The bread, the meat etc are small and not filling. I'd really like to support what looks like a family run business but it's just over priced and I've gotten sick every time I've eaten there. I now go to the Taste of Rochester next door and get the grilled chicken sandwich which is $7.89 last I checked. Portion is bigger than any chix sandwich Gusto offers. read more
