    Calzone with 4 fillings

We called in our order for delivery while we were at the Moose Lake Brewery. They only took half the time they quoted us, which was fabulous. My grandson chose a 7 inch bacon pizza, my boyfriend chose the 12 inch special, our companion chose a calzone, and I got a gluten free crust no cheese Hawaiian pizza. Everyone ate all of their food except for me. I also ordered a Small chef salad. That was nice and fresh and really full of flavor. No crummy "pink" tomatoes here. They tasted like they just came from the garden. YUM! My pizza however, lacked flavor. The crust had no flavor. The sauce had no flavor. I was a little disappointed. I only ate 3 pieces of the pizza and the rest went in the trash. I should have just ordered the large chef salad. If you like salads I highly suggest it! The calzone was beautifully baked and well seasoned according to our friend and my boyfriend really enjoyed his pizza. They all looked really good to me. My grandson liked his as well and only left just a couple edges of crust. If you're hungry for pizza (and don't need gluten free or dairy free) I would highly suggest this place. Quick and easy!

We were craving a light lunch and found the perfect spot. Sandwiches, soup and ice cream - gustafs! I ordered the lunch special (soup and/or salad with Sammy) the BLT and chicken wild rice soup were delicious. Thick creamy soup how I like it and served nice and hot. This is such a cute little gem of a restaurant, they host tea parties there as well - something I would definitely like to check out one day. Oh! And how could I forget the cheesecake - mmmm delicious!

Have eaten here a couple of times, have to say I have ordered the same thing both times. Love the atmosphere of this quaint restaurant. Food is fresh and delicious. Ordered the tomato basil soup and split the Gustaf sandwich with a friend. The homemade cranberry wild rice bread that the sandwich comes on is delicious. Will definitely go back and maybe try something different.

I decided to come visit this restaurant because I was looking for a cute Swedish cafe to order from in Minnesota. Unfortunately we arrived right as they were closing so we didn't have many options to choose from and I wasn't able to try their Swedish pancakes. However their sandwiches were nice and their ice cream was delicious. The staff wore masks and they have a really nice porch area with a decent amount of outdoor seating. My one suggestion would be to offer more Swedish food items besides the Swedish pancakes and meatballs. I think many visitors would really enjoy a Swedish Cafe to have fika (Swedish afternoon snack).

Delicious fresh and local food including breakfast items, sandwiches, salads, soup, and ice cream, as well as a kids menu. We shared "The Lindstrom" egg bake and Swedish pancakes and they were delicious and just enough food for the 2 of us. Love the quaint atmosphere inside and the outdoor seating as well. Great service and they serve locally roasted coffee as well along with compostable to-go dishes. Looking forward to going back!

Food was good, but really disappointed that the staff was not wearing masks. We were there a week ago, and not a mask in sight.

Clean. Friendly staff. Good food. I was disappointed that the sandwich I wanted wasn't available as the combo. Coffee price was a bit high.

The service was very friendly and collaborative - meaning we were offered great hospitality from all of the staff members. Note that you have to order here before being seated. Not too bad but does put the pressure on to order quickly so you can be seated before others. I went with the turkey melt and upgraded to fries and my partner got a turkey club with a fries upgrade. Together, this meal totaled just over $40 (no extra drink, we got waters). I feel bad giving a low score because of this but I do have to mention that the prices feel much higher than the quality of the food. Yes, we added fries instead of chips which might be the cause for the higher prices, but you can get two well made burgers for less than this so it doesn't feel justified. Additionally, the food was good but not great. My tuna melt lacked a bit of flavoring and only tasted of mayo. Normally this would be fine for me but not when I paid above average for my food. This really is a nice restaurant and in an area that doesn't have too many of those. Our waitress was very attentive (almost too attentive) and the service was good but I don't think I'd choose to visit again.

Since this was our first time, we had no idea that it was a 'seat yourself' type of place and there were no signs indicating so. We stood at the door being stared at by the patrons and the employees. It took several minutes for someone to tell us we could sit wherever. Finally, our waitress stopped over, took our drink order, but because we weren't ready, she left. She didn't come back for more than 15 minutes. She did apologize, but it was far too long. Prices were reasonable and two specials were offered - our kinda place! My husband took part in one of those specials and ordered the country fried steak and eggs. I ordered the regular steak and eggs. We did substitute an order of toast for the Swedish pancakes (gotta!) It took a really long time for our food to come, which was disappointing. Food did come out hot and my husband was a big fan of the country fried steak. I didn't think the Swedish pancakes were anything I would HAVE to order a second time, but I'm glad we tried them. The hashbrowns were probably the highlight of breakfast. A waitress did stop by with a dum dum for kids, which was a cute added touch!

I don't think I would order them again but I definitely want to go back and try their breakfast.

The booths could use a upholster (or be knocked out completely) the floor was really dirty, and it's just overall a dive bar vibe and if that's your thing- you'll love this place. I however wasn't interested in going to a dive bar, I thought I was going to a simple restaurant with good food... I was so wrong. It's very rare for my husband or I to not like the food that is served at any restaurant, yet not like it enough to post a review... let's start by saying that IF THIS WAS A HOSPITAL, IT WOULD BE GREAT FOOD... but sadly it is not. My husband ordered the prime special which was already sold out for the night by 6:30 (it's is Valentines Day (but poor planning none the less), okay fine... so instead he ordered the brisket sandwich. The bacon that was on the sandwich was so burnt, that it should have been chopped into bacon bits and tossed on a potato... and speaking of potatoes... my husband ordered a baked potato on the side and even after adding 4 little plastic tubs of butter- it was still DRY. He had to add salt and pepper on twice, just to get any flavor. And he is NOT a picky eater. I ordered a sandwich which was okay, but again the bacon was also burnt (not crispy, burnt) and should have been chopped into bacon bits. I ordered mashed potatoes on the side and they were fine (you could tell they were homemade) but I would be shocked if the gravy didn't come from a can. The only reason I'm giving this place two stars instead of one, is that our server was very nice. We gave him a good tip, and decided we would never eat there again. Hopefully he can get some experience here, quit and find a serving job where he can serve actual good food.
