Taco birria / Stew beef Taco pescado empanizado / Battered Fish Braised Taco birria / Stew beef All great!

I enjoyed the tacos, price point was fair , the service was fast and friendly. I can see why this location gets busy with high school students it fair for the price and tasty. The store was clean as well the tables. They will even bring your food to the table you sit at. Not bad!

Ordered from here twice for delivery, I loved it. The tacos had a deal on Doordash which is what prompted me to get them. The fish tacos is what I see a lot of reviews on so I had to get them, no disappointment there! The asada tacos were just okay, I was thinking they might be better if I were to eat them fresh. They really stuffed the torta, def my new favourite item. There was a lot of guacamole on it. Beans arent usually my pick for toppings but it wasnt too noticeable! Very yummy! Def need to come back in person to earn that 5th star

I was excited to try this place. I heard great things about their burritos, tacos and their guacamole! I got their fish taco and it was great! The fish was crispy and the taco tasted fresh and delicious. I also got the guacamole and chips. I was so disappointed. The guacamole was okay. But what was the most disappointing for this $8 side, is that the chips were STALE. It's as if they were left out overnight and served to me. Multiple coworkers tried and agreed. Do not get the Guac and chips. You will be left wanting a fresh bag of Doritos.

A new location for a growing Mexican chain. Good to have a decent option in Scarborough. However perhaps I'm spoiled by the many times I've been to Mexico but I just can't do cartwheels about the Mexican food scene in Toronto. Most places are over priced and underwhelming in the flavour department. Gus tacos is a bit better than most but still just okay. $5 for a 3-bite taco is on the pricier side but this seems to be standard nowadays. The Asada was the standout , juicy and well seasoned. I love me a good fish taco but just disappointed that most times the fish is fried then squirted with sauce (like here). A well seasoned grilled fish with onions would be amazing and bring me back to the beach in Mexico. The menu at Gus Taco says grilled fish but it comes fried ???? Didn't realize till I got home. The mushroom taco is flavourless. I wouldn't waste your time or money on it. Very no frills, small menu. Also I note the burrito doesn't come with rice in case you were expecting that. The other local spot just further down on Kingston road, mexitaco, is good but I find their portions even smaller with a higher price tag. Would I return? maybe to give a few other items a try but I'm not expecting to be blown away. Overall , just okay.

First time here, I ordered 2 Birria Tacos and a Barbacoa Torta. I really enjoyed the birria tacos with their hot sauce and consommé - this place is all about the food, no service or ambiance and it's just focused on providing delicious food. I will be back and I will probably just stick to birria tacos because I enjoyed it so much! Keep Eating, Angele

Good was delicious and flavourful! I got the burrito and spicy salsa. Very filling. Also got the horchata but it was a miss for me.

Hole in the wall spot with nothing but good food. Affordable. Local spot. Pastor had the best flavor, also had pinnacles. Barbacoa burrito is your classic one

This place was pretty good. I enjoyed the tacos. Yea I know it;s not the same as what I would get in LA or Mexico city, but those places aren't really convenient to get to when you live in Toronto. I'm always sus of people who are like "Oh yeah this isn't as good as the food I got in *insert far flung place here*". I mean yea, it might not be, but food is an extension of the place that it is, and comparing the food you get in Toronto to like Oaxaca is ridiculous. That being said, for a Mexican place in Scarborough, a place that had nothing close to Mexican food (I grew up with Taco Bell) until recently, is not a great comparison, and says more about the reviewer than the restaurant. I think this place was very decent for the place and everything. I would reccomend it.

The fried chips were nicely crunchy, which is a perfect pairing. My favourote dish of the meal. - Burrito Bowl: Got this with suadero, which was tender yet chewy. The overall bowl also had a freshness to it to pair with the salty beef, as it had a good amount of veggies, rice and beans. - Fajitas: Got this with shrimp and cheese. The shrimp was tasty though a bit rubbery, loved the generous amount of cheese. Overall dish was a tad too salty for my taste. Place has a lively vibe. Prices are what prices are these days. Service is super attentive, and kitchen is quick. Overall, a good spot if you're in the mood for some Mexican cuisine.

The friendly multilingual staff flip between speaking English and Spanish to customers. They're quick to tell a joke and welcome you inside the restaurant with a ¡Bienvenidos a nuestra casa! Best staff! They make you feel like one of the family! It was a delight to my ears to hear Spanish language being spoken. It was also a delight to listen to the vibrant music played inside the establishment. So many great songs. I heard a Rodrigo Amarante song being played, followed by popular hit songs. From sizzling fajitas, to mouth watering enchiladas, their menu celebrates Mexico's rich culinary heritage. The tortilla chips and salsa were fresh. They charge extra if you ask for another serving. The chicken chimichanga and the chicken* (and beef) enchiladas suizas were great. They were served with rice, refried beans and salad. The pozole was big enough to have as a main dish. It was a fiesta of flavours! Nestled in the heart of Port Perry, this restaurant is a gathering place where friends and families can create lasting memories.

Found a great little Mexican restaurant in Port Perry! Overall, we were very pleased with the…read moreexperience. First, let me address items that could be improved... - The starter chips and salsa, while complimentary, are too small. The serving should be at least double the size, and the chips should be warm. However, if you ask for more, they will happily give you another serving. - The desserts, we tried the Sopapilla and the Churros. For the Sopapilla, again they should be warm and rather than drizzle, provide the caramel or chocolate so a person can dunk the pastries. For the Churros, they were over fried, very oily. So less time in the fryer, more light and fluffy. And again, no drizzle, with Churros you want to dunk into the caramel or chocolate, a lot!!! Ok that's it for the improvements. The rest of the experience was excellent. Starting with the drinks... great stuff! Great flavor, great presentation and they pack a punch. For the entrees, we had combo dishes that included enchiladas, burritos and chimichangas... mostly with beef and chicken, along with various hot sauces. They were excellent and good size portions. We've been to a lot of Mexican restaurants over the years, the food here was definitely one of the better ones we've had. The restaurant is on the small side for sure, but the atmosphere is great and the service very friendly. In the summer they have a great little outdoor patio with lots of shade. They have lots of parking and is perfect location if you plan on spending the afternoon in the park or go for a walk downtown.
