Colorado has rediculous and downright oppressive gun laws. Guns For Everyone knows that and really tries to make the mandatory classes for a concealed weapons permit as painless and inexpensive as possible. The four hour class is informative and humorous. It's delivered by a self proclaimed "fat Mexican" and he really does a great job making everyone feel at ease while putting out some great information. His friendly banter about race really breaks the ice and makes a really dry and dull topic as fun as it can be. Guns For Everyone really fills a need in the Colorado gun community and I highly recommend this business. read more

My husband and I took thIs CCW class and I wasn't sure what to expect since it's free. Edgar was GREAT! He's funny and infuses the class with a lot of humor. He's also very knowledgeable and he covers an incredible amount of info in 3.5hrs. He warns people that he curses at the beginning - and he not joking about that - Frankly, we felt even more comfortable since he sounded like one of our crew. I appreciated that he wasn't a "shoot first, ask questions later" kind of instructor - in fact, he reiterated the value of human life and reinforced that no material possessions are worth taking a life. Smart gun ownership and the belief that guns are for protecting lives. They are a "no BS" type of small business and definitely earned a donation for the class he provided! me and the spouse took this course a couple years back. Yep, you get what you pay for but I believe we did get more then that. We were willing to make a small donation for the certificate. The only thing we didn't get was 'hands on' training but as I am comfortable with my ability and have had military training as well as some 'police' training.....I was good with the program as presented. If you need more, certainly, go for a standard class with hands on training. read more

I work with a really nice young man who told me about Edgar and was wondering is this worth taking now? I ran into hard times around 7 years back(nothing with the law) got laid off so my child support accumulated to the amount of the $15,000 ballpark. got my job back and have made every single payment for 4 years. If you have a chance to take one of their classes I 100% recommend doing so. Edgar is excellent and takes what could be a very dry subject and turns it into a great experience. His passion and knowledge on the subject are extremely evident. If you don't learn something from his class, I'd think it may have been your own fault. He invites you to ask questions often, answers all questions, and doesn't make anyone feel stupid for any questions they ask. He is very knowledgeable, so make sure you create your best experience and take advantage of his wealth of weapon information. Range time is allowed for by appointment and one is told CLEARLY AND REPEATEDLY prior to class. If you're thinking of taking classes, stop thinking and let your sister sign you and a couple friends up. Or sign yourself up. You will learn stuff and enjoy the experience. I was excited about the class, but was readily disappointed. I feel like we got more offensive jokes than we did course content around gun laws. Gun safety and laws were covered briefly. Some of his jokes are funny, but others are quite offensive and denigrating, particularly if you are of a minority group. Does not make the space welcoming particularly if you are female and says "bitches" frequently. Additionally, if you are cautious with COVID, I would not enter. Most people were not wearing masks at the training; neither masks or social distancing were enforced. read more

Amazing class. Highly recommended. As to other reviews- I read the reviews. I was prepared for bad language, lack of political correctness, and pressure to donate. The bad language was there- but less than is frequently used at my workplace (hospital job). And we were warned at the beginning. He may have read the "what people can make jokes at what groups expense without being racist" manual that comedians seem to live by. He certainly had a lot to say about hispanics- his origin. He threw in one comment about how caucasians are less likely to be targeted by police- "complexion protection". That was it. He did make a number of comments about people wearing masks/covid- and backed it up with statistics about death rates. He then turned around and made fun of people who carry guns- because statistically you're more likely to die of covid than an armed robbery. The perspective was really nice to be honest. For the legal section, he posted the current laws as he went over them. And pointed out the exact wording "because words matter." I've been to 2 other state ccw classes and it was nice seeing someone actually show the statutes rather than being didactic. I learned a lot. He made one comment about how donating helps the class continue. That was it. Zero pressure. A lot of us did donate- worth every penny- but he even had separate lines at the end, one to donate if you wanted and one to have your class certificate signed- with so much mixing between the two noone could have possibly told who donated and who didn't. I've been many places where the donation spot is in line right before or after the mandatory spot. This was zero pressure. Edgar was entertaining, funny, and blunt. The only negative I can think of is that the metal chairs were a little cold at the beginning of class, 1030AM in winter. Recommended. read more

My boyfriend and I took this conceal carry class today. Not only is this class FREE, which is super convenient considering we're low on money as college students, but it was taught by the most wonderful and enthusiastic man. He had the whole class practically rolling on the floor of laughter the entire time. His humor was enlightening and fun. The class was extremely interesting and surprisingly fast-paced. A 3 1/2 hour class seems miserably long, but it absolutely flew by because of the way it was taught. There was no bull shit in this conceal class. I was never bored and I never felt like we were going over dry or useless information. It was straight forward and highlighted the most important information for those inquiring about gun ownership. Guns for Everyone is an AMAZING organization. I guarantee anyone would love this class. I want to have a beer with the instructor, he was a very cool guy. This class was informative and enjoyable. Edgar is a great teacher with a friendly style that is engaging and encourages discussion. There is an emphasis on the value of human life. He uses a lot of humor and colorful language and is very approachable. Every question was answered and he took the time to speak with people afterward. I attended the free Concealed Carry class in early March. This is the class that's mandated by the State of Colorado if you wish to get a permit to carry a concealed hand gun. And that's right, I said 'free'. If you had to pay for this class, you would be charged anywhere from $75.00 to $150.00. And despite the usual rule of 'you get what you pay for', I have to say the class and the instructor, Edgar Antillon, were just fantastic. And that's something when you are attending a mandatory class that can stretch to over five hours. Even including a dinner break, that's a long class. Edgar is an excellent teacher, and more importantly he has what I would consider the best philosophy possible for a CCW teacher to have. He's not arrogant, or superior, and he doesn't have the kind of attitude you often find in gun shops and shooting ranges. What he is, is cheerful, enthusiastic, and concerned that everyone know their rights and just as importantly their responsibilities. He makes you think, and that's a good thing. I am looking forward to taking more classes from him in the near future. read more
