She put together a wonderful choreographed routine to our song that made us feel special but was still easy enough to learn. Neither of us had partner dance experience before this so we started off very basic and worked up to fancier moves as we got more comfortable. Sherry was always very encouraging while providing clear and useful feedback. If we weren't understanding something, she would take the time to demonstrate again or explain it in a different way. Sounds like a good idea but when it's crowded your child can't even see above the adult heads. The music selection was great (Xmas theme, live signing Santa, ballerinas) but my son (20 months) was just too young for it and it was too crowded. Afterwards we tried to converse with a few musicians but they were too preoccupied with preventing kids touching their instruments to really talk to us. The program boasts "hands on" and learning for the kids but it really depends on the musician that's performing that day. The weeks of searching was very disappointing, as I tried to make multiple attempts at calling (and even trying to stop by some places during their open business hours), not a single place was even interested in talking to me when I said that I have a very interested 11 year old that wants to learn DJ'ing and music production. This was until I called and talked to Rex with Discosapien Academy. First - Rex actually answered the phone and took the time to talk to me; while he listened to all of ramblings about my son and his music interests. Rex was genuinely excited about wanting us to come and meet with him; so that we could get a feel for what his lessons could offer. When meeting with Rex and seeing my sons reaction to this whole new world; I knew we were in the right place. It's now been almost 4 months, and my son has completely stepped up his game. Rex has taken my sons musical interests to a whole new level; where he talks about music production and how the different parts of a song need to be properly arranged to sound proper with the different pitch and sound adjustment; it's pretty mind blowing to here all of this from a now 12 year old. I would add, that often leads to an openness and trust on a personal level that allows him to truly help people arrive at a better state of wellness beyond just physical health. It was not until recently, after suffering a spate of miscellaneous sports misfortunes, that I had the opportunity to experience what Rob does first hand. It honestly blew my mind. His ability to diagnose an apparent problem is skillful, and candidly I would have never appreciated the interconnected-nature of my weaknesses on my own. (E.g., this back pain you're experiencing is actually about your glutes). From there, he helps to rectify the current issue, in a way that to my lay mind is a little akin to witchcraft. (I explained to a friend, that when Rob was 'adjusting' my pulled calf muscle it sort of felt like he was doing nothing, and then magically everything was better after). Finally, Rob gives useful, practical guidance on areas to work on that help to improve the overall function and avoid the issue going forward. His approach is full service, which honestly makes him unlike any trainer or therapist with which you might otherwise work. What a waste of my time!!…read more Here's the long story, in January 2025 I went in to talk about the X-ray tech training because I saw the advertisement outside the building. I talked to the advisor about the program and was told the next opening doesn't start until January 2026. I thought that's a long ways away but was told that will give me plenty of time to get ready, ok fine. A month later I had to take a test on the computer (I forgot the name of it) to get a good enough score. I got a 23 first time and then was told I should do it again so I had to come back a week later and I got a 25.I was told I got a good enough score and should be fine. A couple months later I went back in to see my advisor if I'm on the right track, at this point, I was now told the X-ray program won't start until March 11th, 2026. I thought that would've been nice to been told that sooner but whatever. So the next step was a face to face interview with the X-ray tech "head-lead" person. I had the interview on October 31, 2025 and I thought the interview went well. I was specifically told that I would know if I got in the program or not and that she would email me by the end of the first week of December, great. The end of the first week of December comes and no response, I wait another week, no response. I emailed my advisor, who in the past would get back to me in a timely matter, about whether I got in the program or not, no response!! I never heard back from this place. It's honestly so bizarre and I'm counting my blessings that I didn't just pay them $55,000. What gets me mad is the fact that I wasted a year dealing with this place and not doing something else that values my time. I knew the ratings for this place were bad, but I'm the type who still likes to see because maybe it's not as bad as people say. Well sadly it's true for me.

I've been to many different institutes of higher learning and this is the only one I've dealt with…read morethat gave me as many problems as it has. I managed to flunk out of the 2nd semester of my program which requires picking up the program in May 2026. So keep in mind this is a four month period. By the middle of it, I applied for "re enrollment" and was told that a committee would be meeting on April 23 to review my application. Turns out they had "approved" this much sooner. When I received the call I was "re-enrolled" I asked if I needed to handle any taxes or related information prior to coming in for a scheduled appointment and was told that everything would be taken care of by the meeting time. Turns out revealing my 2024 taxes had not been squared away at this point was a major obstacle and we needed to reschedule. Since then I had several telephone correspondences with the Financial Aid reps and was told various different things and suggestions. My 2025 taxes returns were mentioned as helping to get the funding I need to start. Another was that a "financial coordinator" would work out some monthly payment plan agreement. Neither of these things apparently helped my situation. Given that the 2024 taxes processing takes several weeks to months if you do a mail in (which online tax filing indicated was the only option) I wouldn't have FASFA until early July 2026. In other words despite having two months time to get back into the program and have what I needed accounted for, it took as long for me to find out what I already knew was going to happen: sorry but you should have had all these bs things done and over with, you need a co-signer we already know you don't have, tough shit. But you can wait till the beginning of the new year to start up again!
