Fi I was a little nervous to start, having never done a dance class, but Sherry eased my nerves in the first 10 minutes. She has the ability's to explain in a way that makes sense to both of us, even though my wife and I may not be thinking the same thing. It felt more like Sherry was at our house than us being at her studio. I think that made a huge difference and lessened my anxiety and made the learning much easier. But just recently, we found Swingin' Denver! We dropped in for an advanced Lindy Hop lesson last night and loooved it! The instructors are really good dancers and the lessons are challenging - which is much needed for us since we've had a year and a half break from any instruction/social dances/practice whatsoever. The instructors are friendly and dedicated to creating a friendly, inclusive, active swing dance community in the Denver area. They appear to plan several social dances (some with DJs but some with live bands - which are the best kind of social dances).
