Having a boy that dances unfortunately isn't common and can make it difficult to feel welcome in a dance studio. The staff and owners at Studio 9 are truly the best! He takes tap, ballet and hip hop classes along with a boys only ballet class!! This has allowed our son to grow as a dancer and learn partnering. He loves the teacher which is great because keeping a group of young boys moving isn't easy! He recently performed in his first show at Studio 9 and it was a first class production. She's in her second year of dancing in the ballet company. It's a lot of work! Happily, the dancers aren't measured against an impossible standard or even one another.
