It's huge and has every instrument. Every type of teacher. The staff is friendly. And we really look forward to coming here. Keep up the great work Colorado music Institute CME

I started my son Alexander who has a IEP in school and is on the spectrum (special needs) when he was 8years old playing ukelele. He since has continued playing uke and over the past 4 years has been taking lessons for piano to get ready for his next year marching band audition for Cherry Creek High School! He had held a A+in his middle school band all through 6th, 7th, and now 8th grade he's way ahead of his peers in so many areas of music. Fast forward to 2 years ago our oldest son wanted to audition and compete for first chair trumpet in his band class as a junior in high school at cherry creek high school. He felt he maxxed out with where he was at and needed that extra push and tutoring to acheive more. He asked me to sign him up for private trumpet lessons this past summer. Here we are in September of same year and after a summer of private lessons he auditioned and made FIRST CHAIR TRUMPET in his band class and for Cherry Creek Marching Band !!! (Did I mention CCHS ranked #1 for welcome week and in 5A tournament )!!! Wendy&Dale are the best ! All the instructors they hire are top notch and our invested in their students to succeed and not just in music but the why behind music , their self esteem, and technical skills that go along with it. I could t be more blessed to have found this school for my children. I have two other kids that will also play music this year. One more trumpet and one more piano or drums!!! This school has an amazing g new facility that they are in the process of moving into because they grew out of their old one ! They are so humble but I feel like if there is anyone out there that is looking for a true music school who will help their child learn music, love music appreciate music and embrace music this has to be the school they enroll in!!! Thank you CMI for all you have done and continue to do !! Congratulations on your award for National Music School of the Year!!!!!!!!

He made such an impression…read moreon me in those first few lessons that we decided to continue instruction via Skype after his move. That proved to be an excellent choice. John is a gifted teacher who takes his own playing very seriously. This means that he is constantly growing as a musician and sharing those lessons with his students in a way the they can relate to. He meets the student where they are, but does not give in to the temptation to cater exclusively to their wants; John preaches balance in playing and practicing and will not hesitate to prescribe work in weak areas. Every time I see John in person, he has grown as both a player and a teacher. He is at the forefront of 'ukulele education on the national and international stage. If you are interested in deepening your understanding of the instrument, you should run - not walk - to Ukulele Inspired Studios.

This review is long overdue! I took ukulele lessons with John when he was based in Oakland, from…read more2015-16. I was brand new to the uke, and needed to start with the basics. There were many things I loved about my lessons with John. First off, his positive energy and enthusiasm made our lessons such a pleasure. Something else that made John's approach totally unique was that his lesson content is very student-driven; rather than assigning me songs to practice, he would ask me what I wanted to learn. I would show him songs I was interested in, and he would help me figure out how to play them. In the weeks when life was busy and I didn't have a song in mind, he would make suggestions that I could choose from. He also challenged me by incorporating musical theory into our lessons, and took into account my prior knowledge from playing piano and singing. Another unique aspect of John's teaching is that he would video record new finger work or strum patterns, and share the videos with me. This way when I was practicing at home and didn't remember how to play something, I could always rewatch the videos. If you're at all considering taking ukulele lessons, I highly recommend that you work with John!

Michael provided the music for our recent wedding at Mirabelle at Beaver Creek. His talent on both…read morethe bagpipes and acoustic guitar was stellar and was a significant part of setting an incredible atmosphere for the entire event. Curating the playlist and coordinating the logistics with Michael was easy in the planning and seamless in the execution. Michael arrived early on the Big Day and was kitted out appropriately in Highland Dress. He stood outside Mirabelle playing a medley of highland pipe standards that greeted our arriving guests. He then escorted the Bridal Party into the venue to Highland Cathedral. During the ceremony he played more highland standards to punctuate the beauty and solemnity of the moment. Michael switched to acoustic guitar, playing a range of standards that lent elegance and charm to the cocktail hour and throughout the wedding dinner. His music was lovely and lent to the magical atmosphere. Everyone was charmed by Michael and his talents, noting that his bagpiping was a memorable part of the 4+ hour wedding. We highly recommend Michael for your special event. He was an important element in a beautiful day!
