Unfortunately, I did not read any reviews about this place or I would not have selected it as the FFL to receive a rifle I purchased from Sportsman's Warehouse. I discovered the gun I purchased online was received by Gun World two weeks prior and nobody called to notify me. Not a huge deal breaker, but when I finally got a hold of someone on the phone (after a week of trying daily-they rarely answer phones) I was told I couldn't pick up the gun, even though they had received it. When I pushed the issue for an appointment to pick up the gun, the gentleman on the other end of the phone literally said, "FUCK YOU" and hung up. True Story. Has this country has gone so gun crazy right now that a business like this can afford to operate in this fashion? It seems so. I stopped by today to check out the new store since I haven't been to Gun World in about 2 years. The store does look nice and has a decent amount of guns, accessories and tools.... and some ammo. With that being said, I have shopped Gun World since the early 90's and have spent quite a bit of money there throughout the years. Today as I was waiting to speak to the guy behind the gun counter, I noticed the phone ringing and wasn't being answered. Inside the cage where you have to enter to see the firearms, there was only one worker. He was attending to a customer and there was another customer waiting before he could get to me. While he was assisting the guy before me, a big tall heavy guy came storming out from the back room and said... " I've been %#^ing trying to call you and you're not answering the dam phone... you need to answer the %^#ing phone! ". This was said to the worker loud enough ti where the people at the cash registers and workers all looked to the cage! Keep in mind that there was a couple of kids with their parents in the store! I felt for the worker as he was just there and didn't know what to say except " ok" . When the worker finally came to assist me, I told him he shouldn't let that guy talk to him that way and his response was " it's ok, he's just stressed out with the new store". Anyways, just know that Gun World has always been on the expensive side and now with the new store... the cost is definitely passed on to the customer! I seen so myself today! There are many other choices to go to for purchasing firearms and accessories, as a matter of fact right down the road! Cheaper prices for the same stuff and definitely friendly! After what happened today and seeing that the manager or owner (whoever he was) did not care enough about who was in the store to see that happen, I will never shop at this place again. I'm extremely disappointed with the customer service I received at Gun World recently. I purchased my firearm and a few days later there was a sale at a competitor's shop. It was a $180 difference. I called inquiring about price matching and was assured that the store would honor the price I had found online. However, upon arriving at the store to pick up my firearm, I was told that price matching was not a policy held by Gun World, and that whoever I spoke with was new. They then accused me of having called the wrong shop. Despite informing them that I had called the number on my invoice and the caller ID showed up as the store's name, they continued to refuse to honor the price match. Their dismissive attitude was beyond dishonest and disrespectful. I would have canceled my order if I had been informed of the so-called store's policy beforehand; it would have only been a 10% cancellation fee, not the 25% fee it would have been after the 10 days. They offered a good faith gesture in the form of a box of ammo valued at $20 to make up for the misunderstanding and this only added to the feeling of dishonor. As a small business supporter, I had intended to make further purchases from this store, but after this experience, I am going to take my business elsewhere. read more

Extremely poor customer service. Not all, but some rude employees. The rude employees ruin the entire experience and make me give this one star. I haven't read any of the other reviews, but I'm sure they all say the same thing. The worst employee was the heavier set gentleman. He was in a terrible mood before I even got there. I don't understand what prompted him to do such, but he called a customer stupid in front of everybody in the store. I decided to take my business elsewhere, even though their inventory is excellent. I'd rather spend a little extra time searching for what I want than deal with the attitudes here. If you absolutely MUST do business with this shop, I recommend dealing with either Stephanie or George. Both of them seem to actually have manners and care about customer retention. But like I stated, the entire experience was so bad that I decided to take my business elsewhere. I highly recommend going somewhere in a different county such as Orange. read more

Came here after going to Turners in Pasadena and having the worst experience ever at Turners ! Turners wouldn't give me a background check because I only had one last name on my ID and showing two on my passport, after leaving that place I called gun world in Burbank and said they would help me . I showed up the next day to gun world and got helped by Jack right away, he was very humble and helpful ! His customer service was amazing ! There was no waiting Jack explained it all very simple and brief made my life so much easier wish I would've came here a long time ago. I highly recommend this place to anyone ! They are great ! The staff are short and straight to the point on the phone. However your experience in the store is really something else. They work quickly and efficiently to try and help everyone within 15-20 minutes of their appointment time. They are fast efficient, and just easy to work with. They're super nice and the woman that helped us kept apologizing and thanking us profusely for our patience and understanding. It really wasn't needed because we really anticipated a much longer day. The prices seemed to be marked up pretty high which was the only downfall. But we are in California and if you can find what your looking for with little to no work, then the price will seem just about fair. They were fully stocked and they're a no bullshit store. There really is something to be said about that. If you got it flaunt it right? They know what they have to offer and if you dont like it? Well go and drive or fly around in circles to find it. All in all. For the convenience I feel it was fair. And the customer service was exceptional. We were taken in 15 minutes after our set appointment and we were out and complete with test, DROS, payment and paperwork in less than 1.5 hours for an AR and Glock. These are hard and trying times. Everyone out there. People new and old to the gun scene are arming and protecting their families and assets. So be patient. And be understanding. read more

I'm not sure what's all those negative reviews are about. GunWorld is the only store, that is open for new gun sales during COVID-19 outbreak. I was able to make an appointment the same day. Took my FSC test, bought a gun and 13 days later picked it up. Andrew was very helpful with pickup a gun for me and James took care of all paperwork and release of a handgun. Both are very professional and friendly. Some people claim that their prices are higher than others. Yes. Turners has a lot of guns on Sale on their website and a bit cheaper than GunWorld, but they all sold out and not available. GunWorld is actually open and have them in stock. Thank you guys. I have purchased firearms from them during the pandemic when everyone was charging huge premiums for guns. But recently I went to buy the new M18, and they were asking $100 over Sig's msrp. I questioned their pricing and they told me the since the gun was rare and new this was the price they were asking. I went a few blocks down the street the following day and purchased one for about $125 less. I understand they need to pay their staff and gorgeous new space. I am always willing to pay for value, but I wasn't getting better service or anything of extra value to justify that $125. Love the space, selection and staff, but I am just not willing to pay markups when other shops locally are not charging them. Other shops actually charged under sig's msrp! read more

First time gun buyer here. I initially went to another gun store in Burbank. They were friendly and helpful, but they had very little stock on hand. My experience at Gun World has been great, considering the current circumstances. Yes, you may need to wait in line and you may not get in on your exact appointment time and it is hot outside and it is difficult to get through on the phones when setting an appointment. These are circumstances we are dealing with today. We are dealing with COVID rules from our infinitely wise "governor" and the daunting and convoluted gun control laws in California which we have voted for. Now for the good news. The staff are friendly, professional and helpful. Gun World had plenty of firearms for sale as well as Ammo. Well more than anyone else I have seen. They are evidently very proactive in ordering and keeping stock on hand. I have had great experiences with all of the staff to date. They have handled all of the paperwork efficiently and have been able to deliver what I wanted. I did my research on the paperwork required (available on their website) to ensure I did not have to come back for additional unnecessary trips and this made the gun buying experience as good as it can be in California (10 day wait is a pain). Gun World was also happy to place an order for a gun I wanted that was not in stock which arrived surprising quickly. In preparation for purchasing, I viewed tons of you tube video reviews of guns I was interested in so it helps if you know the model you want in advance. That way you can purchase or order if they don't have your desired model in stock and streamline the process. As far pricing goes, there may be some markup over retail depending on the model. I didn't mind paying a little extra considering the current buying frenzy on guns and ammo and that Gun World actually has on hand stock and a good selection of guns. In conclusion, I highly recommend Gun World and the staff. Research before you go, have all required paperwork in hand, make an appointment and this will make the experience as well as it can be in this current climate. read more

An employee came up to my friend and told her he would not sell him his gun because he (the employee) did not like me. I have never seen this employee until he came out of no where. I have been in many gun selling establishments all over the countries and I have never been to a more disgusting firearm establishment in my life. These guys are delusional, narcissistic and truly do not understand that the customer is the customer. I came to the establishment with another gentleman. customer service in this establishment is very suspect, they are rude, they are arrogant, they are condescending to the customers. After we stood in line and waited there while they moved at a snails pace, waiting on everyone, we were finally called with the remote beeper. After we were called up to our spot, we realize we had left an ID that we needed in the car. We went to get the ID out of the car a few seconds later and these clowns had the audacity to say we were now back at the end of the line after waiting one hour to complete our purchase, of course we left went down the street to another establishment where we were treated like the people and customers that we were and we completed our purchase and of course purchase much more. I asked the clowns at this establishment for information on a particular weapon with arrogance condescending attitude, as if they were God's gift to the planet, I realize this clown did not know what he was talking about. Once again, arrogance, and this arrogance you can feel when you walk in the place. Of course, we spread the word to all of our gun owner friends about this place. Some had already experienced the nonsensical, delusional, rude ignorant attitude of gun world. It continued or with other situations with these people in the short time we were there. Hey guys! Not sure why everyone is giving such low stars to this awesome place. I've become a regular now coming to this place and the staff and everyone here made my first time purchases to regular additional firearms and ammo purchases a breeze. Shoutouts to Salvador, Noel, George, Mark and Andrew! I feel people are forgetting that we are under covid. I feel the one stars are those who don't own a business. There is specific protocols to be followed, and they only have a max capacity of 6 customers at a time. Wait in line and they will take care of you. Please be patient and friendly with them as they are hauling as fast as they can to get to you guys. I have no problem waiting 30-90 minutes in line understanding this covid situation. I would rather have these folks stay safe and healthy for them to remain open all the time. If you guys don't want to wait in line then simply don't purchase anything yet until things settle down. Just have some patience and they will take care of you. I don't normally make reviews but the friendliness, and the attention they gave me was top notch! I took the time at the end of the day to learn every single one of their names and write it down as they gave me the most pleasant experience to shop here! This gun store has to be the worst one by customer service of all the other stores that I have been to. I called in asking to see if they have any Glock29 magazines available, and was told that he could not help me out because he is busy doing something else. I asimply asked him can some one else look to see if they have any in stock and the simple answer i got was no if you want to come into the store your are then welcome to. Like seriously? I simply told him i live 20 miles away and i dont want to drive all that way just to see if you have the magazine in stock. Got a answer of sorry i cant help you! Thats reason me calling is to see if you have the product im looking for in stock so i dont have to drive 20 miles one way for nothing. Hi everyone, just wanted to leave my honest experience, I purchased an item sometime ago and decided it wasn't the right fit for what I needed I knew I was outside of my reasonable return window and did not expect much, I decided to then give GunWorld a call to ask if possible to exchange or get some kind of credit for my item. A nice and very friendly individual by the name of Mike answered the phone when I called and I explained to him my situation he was knowledgeable and let me know to stop by the store and that they would see what can be done in person. Upon my arrival, I noticed the new location and new store it feels very premium it's definitely a place where you want to buy your next firearm or anything related, the atmosphere inside is awesome friendly staff which greet you right away and ask if you need help with anything they make you feel at home and very comfortable. I asked for Mike, and he came to the front and addressed my situation in a very professional and friendly manner shook my hand and I was able to actually get what I was looking for I did not expect much however GunWorld went above and beyond to help me out I also ended picking up a fingrip by strike industries best one. I recommend supporting your local shops it's important and you will be treated nicely by knowledgeable staff and you are able to actually see the item you are trying to purchase in your hands not some website that doesn't even have a phone number. This is my favorite gun shop in the Burbank and Glendale area, probably my favorite gun store in los angeles. I've been here more than enough times in the past several years and purchased most of my firearms, accessories, and ammo here. So I've dealt with almost all the services they offer. With a list of needs across the board, every visit has been nothing short of great. These are the things I appreciated most: Inventory - their inventory is one thing that always stood out to me, I havent come across anything I've needed that they don't carry. You're able to see, hold, and feel rare firearms (like my custom shop sig p220 equinox .45) before your purchase. I looked everywhere for this pistol and gun world was the only place that had it. It's not commonly owned and you dont find it at ranges - so it's important to hold it before making up my mind. This goes for a range of rifle and Handgun accessories as well, they have them stocked. Knowledge - they're very informative and are happy to educate and assist any serious or potential firearm owners. I've experienced this myself and seen many new buyers' experiences in the store during my visits. I had a really hard time buying a scope and was glad I got off my computer and walked in. From their personal experiences, they gave me things to consider that I didnt know to consider, even after strenuous research online. I saved money and got exactly what I needed (and I didnt know what I needed). Service - I dont understand some of these comments. I for one dont want to walk into ANY gun store to find the staff pouncing around giving hugs and smiles to the customers. It's a serious environment. Their own safety and my safety as a customer should be the number one concern here, they're required to be alert and extra careful every step of the day. Plus, I'm 100% satisfied being treated like a normal human without the fake bells and whistles. Given the attention to detail, caution, and patience their positions require, I think they're still going above and beyond and maintaining a very high standard of customer service. All together, I cant think of any cons. (Even if I had one of their products pointed to my head :) Pricing is very competitive, even compared to online prices. Paperwork is fast and easy. The people here are great people who are the best at what they do. I can go on but I think I've made my point. Highly recommended! Literally they have a canopy with seats set up outside their store so people create a line. As soon as its your turn they come out and say sorry appointments only...wtf where is the "appointments only" sign. Have some respect for your customers. Unbelieavable. This place needs to figure it out. Plus they have a stricted covid guidelines then restaurants and grocery stores it seems. Like what? We are all wearing masks and just want to shop. I had an appointment for 12 noon, which was supposed to be the only way to get in. A tall guy with glasses came out and asked why I was there, I explained I was looking for a certain gun and wanted to look around. He said there would be a wait as the store was small. I was ok with that. Within several minutes, guys started showing up, total of 6, one of which stated he also had a 12 noon appointment. Odd, if there is so little room, why were two appointments made at noon. Ten minutes later, another guy came out, tall, hefty, & young asking if anyone was there to pick up or buy ammo, he let two guys in. I stated that I had a 12 noon appointment and if the store is small, why were they allowed to go in ahead of me. He responded, very sarcastically, that I would be let in when a few people leave. Another 15 minutes minutes go by, so I had waited with my appointment 30 minutes and was finally allowed in. The tall guy wearing glasses asked what I was looking for and showed me where the shotguns were. He was very nice told me that they didn't have the model I wanted, that I should check around. I told him I had been informed that I could place an order & leave a deposit. He talked me out of stating that they never know when a gun is going to arrive and they don't know what the price will be. Confused, I asked why about the price. He explained supply demand, the shotgun mayone price today and a few hundred dollars more when it arrives. After the wait, dealing with the jerk employee, and hearing that, I figured this was not the place for me, even tho I needed some ammo for my Glock, I wasn't going to give them any of my money. This place is so small, I can't understand why anyone would go there. When I looked it up on Goggle Maps, I could see it was small, but seriously, a dog kennel is bigger. Let me reiterate that the tall guy wearing glasses was super friendly and helpful, he should work elsewhere. I looked up another shop literally several blocks down called Guns Direct. I had no appointment, waited only 5 minutes outside and a very pleasant young lady asked me in. She explained about various companies, the supply issues, and that they no longer took deposits due to the unknown. She was very nice, informative, and cared more about me and my business.
