Clean, friendly and delicious! What more can I ask? I had the tuna croissant with the Island salad. Fantastic! Salad was fresh & crispy with delicious strawberries, mangos , almonds & cranberries! YUM! Sandwich was piled high & delicious! Chose our favorite Cucumber Lemonade! Hubby tried their strawberry lemonade... also delicious! They have "Healthy" choice drinks made with stevia. Gumbo's Deli is one of my favorite places to go when I want a feel a bit more healthy and a bit more supportive for local businesses. I always order the Creole ciabatta sandwich, along with their island salad, which comes with goat cheese, strawberries, mangos, glazed pecans, dried cranberries and much more. The interior is very clean and is actually shared with a another restaurant called Pollito. What I love most about Gumbo'a deli is their infused water. The cucumber infused water is DELICIOUS and I recommend it. I feel that the menu items are a bit more in the pricier side for what it is; but, this is a local restaurant so I let the price slide. Overall, I love this restaurant and I very much recommend visiting here! read more

I had a very poor experience with Gumbo's Deli. I was staying a hotel in town and wanted something light that could be delivered. Gumbo's appeared to have some good salads and veggie juices. I really regretted choosing them. From the beginning I knew it was trouble. I called to order ahead and no one there spoke English. That's fine. That's their right. But it made it very hard to order. I asked for delivery which they were surprised to hear, though their website says they deliver. I tried asking for recommendations and couldn't get any. Finally, I ordered the Paradise Salad, the first paninis on the menu and a veggie juice. It took over an hour to deliver! No exaggeration! Finally the owner pulled up in a pick up with my order, now with a cold panini in it, and took my credit card info on his phone. The price was reasonable but the delivery time was outrageous. I had to call and remind them and it still took an hour. The salad dressing was so overpowering and odd that I didn't eat the whole salad. It had potential with the large pineapple slices and such but it was a sloppy job. The panini was fine. The juice was sloppy too, just a puree of green items they found. I was so hungry and I threw out the salad and the juice. What a huge disappointment! Unless something big changed, I would never order from Gumbo's again. read more

I ordered the Island Salad with chicken. The salad was okay but the chicken tasted bland. I also ordered the detox drink. It was also just okay. I more than likely will not go back. Horrible experience for delivery, called in ordered my food over one hour later nothing. Called and said they were on the way 15 minutes later still nothing, called the lady again and said he should of been there so asked to call the delivery guy see the status and finally get a call back from driver and turns out the lady that took order also wrote down the wrongs address and keep in mind this was less than a 5 min drive so cancelled ordered since I imagined the food would be called and that lady didn't even bother apologizing. This place had been a well kept secret until recently when they relocated to S 10th St. This place is a little place of heaven on earth. From the freshly made lemonade, cucumber lemonade, strawberry lemonade, jamica to the ridiculously good and fresh salads. The staff is always pleasant and the food is always out fast and fresh. Super inconvenient if you want to order over the phone super inconvenient to order tapioca and have a meal since they're two separate entities in the same establishment and then if you want to get just a salad and crossaint you HAVE to get one of their drinks you can't substitute their drinks for a boba tea and the guy that seems to run the whole thing is so rude and needs to work on his customer service skills and the way he speaks to customers if I could give NO stars I would!
